The Classroom Of Elites

When Daemon first entered the class, he was perplexed. There was more than 70 people already present in the class. The atmosphere here was also rowdy, with students chattering with each other and doing other stuffs here and there. Since the classroom was fairly large even with these much number of students, there was some desks free. He chose an empty desk in the middle row which was to the windows. He could sense multiple gazes on him, but ignoring them all he sat on his seat.

No one approached him nor did he made any effort to approach anyone. He was quite happy about though he wished Arthur could have been in the class.

After several minutes, Madelyn circa came to the class killing all of the noises in the class along. Students scooted over their seats. Afterall this is only the first day and you don't want to make a scene with the professor.

"I'm Madelyn Circa, one of the S ranked adventurers and your homeroom teacher." There were quite some murmurs among the students regarding her being the homeroom teacher. Daemon was quite happy since he was fond of her.

"Since the ranking of the students will be determined by next week's test, I'll be taking the attendance based on alphabetical order." With that she started to take attendance.

Next week's test was announced during the entrance ceremony, it was basically for ranking the students based on their physical power and theoretical knowledge. The theoretical part was based off primary classes curriculum. Since the primary classes are base to the advanced classes, by doing this, the academy is refreshing the student's memory a bit before the actual start of their advanced classes.

The physical test was basically testing an individual's strength and combat powers and techniques. Daemon was confident in the theoretical knowledge, in fact, he was so confident that he will have full mark on it. since the theoretical test was based on primary classes. He could ask Daerys for the required text and other books. Even if it meant procuring books from her seniors, she will somehow accept it. He was sure. He could use his eidetic memory to remember all of the theories, he just had to read them one time.

The real problem lies in the combat test. He was not strong enough as the elites of the first year, but was confident that he will be in top 100. He wasn't planning to hide his talent, since it won't give him any advantage. He wanted to thrive here. He was here for erasing his family's disgrace that he made, for that hiding his power was the last thing he want.

"Daemon Reinheart." She called out. The room was silent.

"Daemon Reineheart… like the real one… the failed prodigy." There were certain murmurs and whispers in the class. Since most people ignored him, most of the students didn't realise Daemon was there. Now his name was called out, they were stunned. Like all the others they to have heard about the prodigy among prodigy. His young age coupled with talent was always an eyesore for the young generation. They watched his growth with envy but when they heard about his fall, they were all rejoiced. They all taught he was just an early bloomer and not some prodigy among prodigy.

"Present." A rather dull sound came from the side of the room.

All eyes were on him including the elite groups. Professor Madelyn was also in shock when she first read his name, she wasn't sure if it was a mistake in the registry since both the Reinheart twins are here. But seeing the boy with black hair and crimson eyes, the non-amused look which was a direct contrast to when he was a kid. The kid whose eyes was filled with curiosity and hunger for knowledge was replaced with rather dull and non-interest. She was glad to see him, whatever he was now doesn't matter to her as she was confident in bringing him back to his forgotten glory. Unbeknownst to her, a thin smile appeared on her lips.

"Draciyan Dragonborn." She continued with the attendance.

During the whole attendance taking one thing he noticed was majority of his class mates are elites. There are some dark horses here and there, but he has heard about the others one way or other.

The first day of class went without any problem. Even his bullies seem to have matured enough to understand to their wrong doings or he thought.

After the class, along with Arthur, he went to his dorm. It was fairly large, but this was temporary. As the rank of the students increase the dormitory also changes. As the dormitory has three buildings- first one for the top twenty students, L wing, that building has all the high-end facility an elite asks for, it includes private training rooms with top notch equipment's, cafes and securities. All of the top twenty including the primary classes are also admitted to that building.

The second building, wing M, are for the next top 80 students of each class. This also comes with private training and other stuffs but of low quality than the elite one. After all that building was too for nurturing future pillars of the kingdom.

The third building, wing S, is for the left behind students who are not talented enough to qualify to the top 100. It was literal shit as you expect. Since the number of students is large, they don't have any private training room, hell, even the rooms are poor compared to the other dormitories. This was a tactical move, as the top 100 students enjoy the elite privileges and they living in the shits, it will motivate the students to thrive higher.

The first-year students are temporarily moved to the wing S for them to actually feel what its to live here. They will find it not idle for living and it will motivate them to study harder for the test. Even the elites weren't spared from this too.
