Chapter 14

Adventurer rank is the level of a person's strength or ability whether it is physical strength, magic, analysis, decision making, the way of thinking of an adventurer. There are several requirements to become an adventurer. The requirements are to be 15 years old, have average magic, get guidance and teaching from the guild master such as written exams and practical exams. If one fails any of these requirements, then he is not qualified to become an adventurer.

Within the adventurer rank there are several levels. Some of these levels are rank D, rank C, rank B, rank A, and rank S. Each rank has its own meaning. Rank D is the lowest rank among the other ranks. This rank is for someone who has average abilities both magical and physical. They only do simple tasks such as finding and collecting herbs, exterminating plantation pests, and exterminating small or low-level monsters. Rank C is the next level after D. This rank has the task of exterminating monsters that have a medium level. The next rank is rank B. This rank is the middle rank among other ranks. A rank that cannot be said to be very strong nor can it be said to be mediocre. This rank has the task of exterminating monsters that are quite high level. Usually this rank is much easier to get tasks and requests. Their abilities and magic power are above average and above rank C. Furthermore, above other ranks is rank A. This rank is a very high rank among other ranks. This rank can also get additional information or what the guild wants to know. This rank carries a great responsibility. Those who are ranked A must protect the people by exterminating high-level monsters. And finally the S rank, the rarest and highest rank above the A rank. This rank only has a few people. People who get this nickname have strength and abilities both physical and magical above the A rank. Get various kinds of facilities and important information. Their highly valuable abilities are often recruited to become members of the TeuFestroter organization. Since there are only less than the fingers of one hand who become adventurers. To be able to rank up they must have developed skills and earned a lot of good reputation.

Each rank can be seen through an adventurer card. The adventurer card is molded from various materials so that it is difficult to fake and destroy. This card can also measure a person's rank by dripping blood from someone who wants to become an adventurer. The card will automatically change according to one's rank. If the card turns blue after being dripped with blood, then it is ranked D. If it turns green, then it is ranked C. If it is red, then it is ranked B. If it is silver, then it is ranked A. And if it is gold, then it is ranked S.

Back to the present.

'Seriously!!! Becoming A-ranked, just in an instant. Looking at his expression, this guy seems serious and honest.'

"Looking at the expression on your face, it seems like you don't believe it. However, I understand what you're thinking."

"Won't this make me too conspicuous as someone who suddenly became an A-rank?"

If I became A-ranked all of a sudden there would probably be an explosion of news about my rumors. Moreover, there will be those who are jealous of me.

"I understand what you're worried about. But we have prepared everything. Miss Laura has explained your origin. So, Mr. Roman Fontaine will make you an A-rank on the grounds that you are in another region and Mr. Roman himself is training you."

"Is this not too suspicious?"

"Take it easy. Mr. Roman is a great swordsman. So, with this you are a disciple who was trained since childhood without anyone knowing. This can also create your new background, if you want to forget about the past where you live."

"I see." I replied with my head bowed.

It seemed like Laura was telling me about my past in my village. I didn't expect so many people to believe it.

"And that's not all. You'll also get other rewards such as an outfit, a sword, and some equipment suitable for being an adventurer, and extra gold. And if you need help you can ask us for help."

"How?"

"You just need to write a letter with this seal at the end."

Wilfrod handed me a stamp. And I looked at it.

"And also take this badge! Wilfrod handed me a badge.

"What is this?" I asked.

"It's a badge, if you're in trouble and there's a guard soldier. Show it to the soldier."

'Hey!!! Hey!!' Hey!!! Isn't this too much? I received too many gifts, I originally didn't want to refuse them. But, the taste is bad now.' I said in my mind.

"[Let it go. At least that noble knows how to thank you properly for your kindness. You need all that equipment to be an adventurer anyway."] Roxa replied to my words in her head.

'Yes. You're right. Hey! Aren't you too quiet. I mean you rarely speak.'

'There's no obligation for me to keep talking non-stop.'

'But you should at least talk."

"Excuse me, sir!!"

"Ah!" Wilfrod's words made me realize that I had been talking to Roxa for a while.

"Sorry, if I'm interrupting. You seemed to be lost in reverie."

"It's okay. I was just thinking about something too much."

"And there's one more thing I'll give you."

"Isn't this all too much?"

"Don't think about it. After all, you have saved many lives, especially the life of the lady I served. She also wants to give something to you as a token of gratitude."

"She herself?"

"That's right. If all that was a gift from Mr. Roman Fontaine, then this is a gift from Miss Laura. Take it!"

"This is .... What is this?"
