Chapter- 49 Eva and Ben's time together....

When Eva opened her eyes, she was in David's office and he was sitting right before her staring at her furiously, he knew that something was wrong with Eva , but he couldn't figure it out, he asked,

"So tell me Eva, What is your problem? What happened to you?....What is it , that you are hiding from me ?....tell everything, don't dare to hide anything "....

That question from David was like a hit on head , her mind was blank for some time.... she thought of escaping, she put both of her hands on her head , pretending to be dizzy but , it didn't work...he said,

"Don't you dare Eva, ....I know all your tricks, atleast not before me"

Eva was clueless now...

all her cards were played off, she closed her eyes thinking that she is caught now, David started asking again,

"Tell me Eva, are you hiding something from us ...What Ben said was true ,right ....you do have some problem in your brain? isn't it?"

she suddenly opened her eyes, and was shocked to hear him,

" What...??" , she said,

he looked concerned, he continued ,

" look ,we can atleast check it's better to be careful than being sorry , please, let's schedule a check up,"

Eva was surprised and started laughing loudly , and felt relieved.

When she looked at him, he was staring at her nonsesically, thinking that "Ben was indeed right about her",

She got up and said ,

" Ok Sir, as long as you suggest me I'll definitely consider it",

and escaped from there. She thought,

" it was so close.....hooo..I nearly confessed, omg.....uhh finally it's over...hooo .."

It was already evening, Eva was ready to go back to her room, but she went to check her duty after weekend, she was excited to see that, she was appointed to assist, Jerry, not because, it was Jerry, but because he was the in charge of ICU, and that's the place where she wants to go.

David went to Era's room and kept her coat near her, and said,

"Do you know how hard it is to wait, when will you wake up Era", he was talking to her sadly, the coat kept beside her slipped down, he picked it up and accidentally saw, a blood stain, it reminded him of the file, Era was holding yesterday, in a hurry he kept on the table at his home, he noticed some blood stains on the file as well, " I forgot about that file, is it related to Era's condition now,...I need to check it",

He rushed to his office, to take Suzie's file and then to house. when he reached there, he kept both the files side by side to compare. He started reading every word, and noticed the blood stains, that was medication section, the medication given to her, and shockingly they were completely different, he couldn't figure it out, he wrote the names of the medicines ,to check them, the one Era spoted were given to the patients with mental problems or insane people to numb there brains, long term use can be dangerous, and the other one is given to aged people with insomnia, to sleep, but these two medicines have nothing to do with a coma patient, or a patient with a heart problem.

He sat down calmly to analyse it, and then detected that there might be a mistake or a malpractice in giving the medication, he thought of discussing it with Dr. James ,the attending doctor of Suzie, three years back ,and now one of the directors.

He called him,

"Hello Sir I called you to discuss a very important thing ,"

" Ok..., What is it David ?" he asked,

David continued ,"Sir, do you remember , a patient Suzie, with heart damage, a transplant surgery, three years back, "

" hmya ...ya....that coma patient",James remembered,

" yes ....yes sir I found her previous file in my office, I think there is a malpractice in this case",... David said ,

"What the hell David are you out of your mind? what do you mean by that, David , a malpractice, do I look like a criminal to you?" he asked furiously.

David instantly said,

" no sir, not you, may be someone from your team, don't get me wrong, I am not blaming you"

James said ,

" if it is true ,then I'll definitely get to the bottom of this,"

David was happy hearing that,

"thank you sir thank you very much for listening to me , I want investigate this further, so I may need your help,"

" Ya ...sure David, I am at my office now ,would you mind coming here, and .. don't forget the file, it'll be a help", James said,

" Just give me half an hour Sir I'll be there," David said,

"hmm ok I'll wait for you" said James.

David rushed, taking the file, but he mistakenly took the wrong file.

It was already evening and Ben was really excited for the date, Lara and Eva were dressed up and left their rooms together, when Ben saw them both coming together, he sighed, and thought, " these adventures are common if I wanted to be with her, I mean which girl brings her friend along for a date, his hopes were burnt into ashes...."

When they came out of the gate , Eva sent her off in another car and she came to him, said

"What is with that expression, do you want me to go back ,"

she wore a jumping suite ,deliberately to irritate Ben ,but for him she is a goddess of beauty no matters what she wears,

he said, " you look good , different, and gorgeous ",

She smiled at him and said,

" shall we go".

It was cloudy outside, and a cold wind blowing through the windows of the car , making the environment fresh and crisp...it was a beautiful sight of the evening, before rain ....not long when they set off, it started raining.... Ben was upset due to the rain.

Ben planned a beautiful evening, in the special arena of a restaurant, but due to rain, it all go in vain.

The manager called him to offer, one of the best sight table for two , but Ben's mood was already out ....

Eva saw him being moody, and said, " let's go to someother place"

She gave him the address, they went there , it was a playstation,

Ben was surprised,

"what a playstation, it's for kids"

she dragged him along and said ,

" then..... let's become kids....".

They went in played a lot of kid's games.... having a lot of fun....at first Ben found it weird ...but after spending some time there he was happy .....it was like , they both become kids again...they had a lot of fun Eva was laughing freely and seeing that Ben's heart was fluttering .....

After coming out he asked her,

" what do you want to eat, I'll go get that"

she thought for a while and said, " a chicken burger and an ice-cream, "

he laughed, and went to buy it ,

The rain stopped and they had their dinner , sitting above the car ,....she asked,

" so how was your date?"

"It was different, but it was fun I laughed and played like a kid....thank you",

" Hmm .. you're welcome,"she said,

He was staring at her with a smile on his face, that made her awkward, she asked,

"Why are you staring at me Ben",

"I want to take a chance...." he said.

The situation there was getting hotter there but, Ben phone rang,

"Oh man I should have chosen something else, a doctor can't even...uhh",

Eva was laughing, Ben received the call, it was from the ER,

" Yes , what is it ?" he said.

" Sir can you come now, we just got a call, there is an emergency case they said it's a car accident, the patient needs a head surgery, John sir is out of station, " a doctor present in the ER said.

" Ok when did they call," Ben asked,

"Sir they said it will take half an hour to bring him here"ER doctor answered,

" Ok prepare the OR I'll be there" he said. Eva turned back and Eva was already on the driving seat,

" come on Ben, let's play another game" she said,

" hmm ",he said, but he sat in with a doubt.

She was so fast , his eyes were wide open all the way, it was like experiencing a video game,

Just in twenty five minutes ,they were at the hospital.

The ambulance carrying the patient, just arrived and Eva stood there to avoid the sight of blood and Ben rushed to the ambulance.

He was shocked to see the patient brought in ...
