Housing and Printing

The sun rises over the desert, casting a beautiful orange hue over the landscape.

I woke up to the most beautiful sight in the world: Aria, asleep in my arms. Her hair was splayed out on the pillow, and her face was so peaceful. I couldn't help but stare at her and wonder how I got so lucky.

I gently brushed stray hair out of her face, and she stirred in her sleep. I froze, not wanting to wake her, but she slowly opened her eyes and smiled at me.

"Hey," she said sleepily.

"Hey," I replied. "Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah, I did. You?"

"Like a baby."

We both laughed, and then we just stared at each other for a moment, lost in our own thoughts.

Finally, Aria broke the silence. "Darling, I have to tell you something."

I could see the seriousness in her eyes, and my heart started to race. What was she going to say?

"What is it?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Another ship is sailing towards Jola" she said

"Ha Another attack?" I asked annoyed

"Well get the minimum information then I will tell you~~" she said while getting off the bed.

Of course she would say that I don't have access to the information till I meet a certain criteria.

"But I can tell you this it's not another attack" she said while wearing her dress.

"Oh" I said

`Black Smith's Estate, A old mansion converted into a printing press factory, Jola`

The steam powered printing press factory was a large, open room with a high ceiling. The floor was covered in a layer of fine powder, and the air was thick with the smell of ink and paper. There were large machines lining the walls, and workers moving around the room. The noise was deafening, and the air was full of dust.

After working for months Nille and his team of Blacksmiths finally finished making a printing press factory and a paper making factory. The paper made in this factory is from all the wild weeds of the greenhouse and from sea bed near the coastal areas. The paper might not be of high quality as the modern era but this will do for now.

Eugene: Hey, Nille. I heard there was a problem with the money printing press?

Nille: Yeah, the ink was smudging the bills. I tried to fix it, but I couldn't.

Eugene: Let me take a look.

Nille: Okay.

Eugene: Hmm. It looks like the ink cartridge is almost out.

Nille: Really? I just replaced it a few days ago.

Eugene: Well, it's definitely the problem. I'll go get a new cartridge and install it for you.

Nille: Thank you, Your Majesty

With that I returned to my study where I saw Aria sitting in my chair writing documents. She was helping me out. After all, she is the only one who knows what my plans are, and what the modern era is like.

I wanted to make her into the finance council head but too bad she will be the queen hence she will be in the Elective Committee so I need to find someone else for the job.

Eugene: Hey there, beautiful.

Aria: Hey yourself. You seem to be having some trouble with these documents. Let me help you.

Eugene: I would appreciate that. Thank you.

Aria: No problem. Darling~~

With that she stood up from my seat and as soon as I sat on it she jumped onto my lap and started reading the documents in her hands while I started checking the ones on the table.

The document I was looking at was the contract between Jola and Conley for the exchange of steel for livestock. This was the second copy which I had while the first one was with Lily. She took it with her to Conley yesterday while I asked mother to stay in Jola but she went to Conley saying she will be back once the new plan to overthrow Ancorna is in motion. It's sad that she won't be there at my wedding 4 months from now but it's alright I can shock her when she returns with how much I have developed the kingdom.

While I was drowning in my thoughts Alice walked into my study with more documents in her hands.

"What are you two doing?" Alice asked with a blush on her face.

"We're just going over some paperwork," Aria said

"It looks like you're making quite a lap of it," Alice said with a weird smirk with a blush.

"I don't mind," I said."It's more comfortable this way."

"Well, if you are done with those documents, give it to me" Alice said blushing embarrassingly

"Here you go," Aria said, handing them over.

"Thanks," Alice said "I'll just put them with the others." With that Alice went to the room with a face as red as a tomato.

"She really gets embarrassed fast doesn't she?" Aria said

It's not that she is embarrassed easily, it's just that you are shameless. I thought

(What's That?) She replied in my head while pinching my hand.

"Ok sorry but you should not read my mind like that!" I revolted

"Huh.. so why can you think about other women behind my back?" Aria said with glare

"Alright you win ok?"

"Hehehe~~"

With that we started our work again.

======================================

Alice walks in on Hughes who is changing into his normal clothes after duty, and can't help but stare at his muscular body. She starts to feel herself getting aroused, and before she knows it, she's kissing him passionately. Hughes responds eagerly, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close. His hands wander across her body, exploring every curve, as their tongues tangle together. The room is filled with the sounds of their heavy breathing and soft moans as they become lost in their desire for each other.

As their kissing intensifies, Alice starts to feel Hughes' hands tugging at her clothes. She eagerly helps him remove them, revealing her body to him in all its glory. Hughes stares at her hungrily, his eyes roaming over her body before he finally claims her lips in a possessive kiss. His hands wander across her skin, igniting a fire within her as he touches her in all the right places.

======================================

While we were checking the documents Aria suddenly stopped reading the documents and smiled which was weird but I didn't say anything and focused on work.

This document was from the Council of Construction and Development about completion of the wall in the southern part of the city (coastal area) and halfway through west and east. I asked them to report it when they finished one side because I wanted to start housing construction. I will transfer some manpower from the wall construction team to a new team that will build the city. How long will the people live in those wooden houses made by Ancorna? I want to transform the city into an urban metropolis.

"Aria bring up all the blueprints for apartment complexes" I said with the document in my

"Sure, darling" she replied and with that I started reading information in my head.

After an hour or two I had a few bullet points for my plans.

1. Use a grid system when creating the city layout. This will help keep things organized and looking neat.

2. Incorporate green spaces into the city layout. This can help to create a more pleasant and inviting environment.

3. Make sure that there is adequate lighting throughout the city. This will help to create a safe and welcoming environment.

4. Keep trash and litter to a minimum. This can be accomplished by providing adequate garbage and recycling receptacles throughout the city.

5. Encourage walking and biking by creating safe and convenient routes. This will help to reduce traffic and pollution.

These were the points I scraped from the database but I still need a good city plan and for that I will need to research for another few weeks I guess… ha

(Don't worry I will be with you and keep you awake~~)

"Yeah I knew you would say that" I replied with a blush smile.

`Somewhere in the Deep Lane Sea`

The three battleships looked enormous as they sailed through the deep lane. They were heavily armed and had a crew of hundreds of sailors. They were a formidable sight and would have been a match for any enemy fleet.

The ship was large and dark, with three masts and a crew of men manning the sails and rigging. The decks were cluttered with crates and barrels, and the air was thick with the smell of salt and sweat.

One can hear many conversations coming from the deck.

"Did you hear?"

"What?"

"The owners of the ship freed us."

"They did?"

"Yes, can you believe it?"

"I can't. I thought for sure we would be sold."

"Me too. I'm so relieved."

"Me too."

All the slaves on these ships were freed from the slave camps around the Ancorna Empire and were being taken somewhere by the captain of these ships but no one knew where, no one knew why this man is helping them, some had there doubts but everyone was really relived that they didn't had to work for some owner who would whip them.
