Back to the real world

"Well, to put it simply, it was a skill I made," Coltin said, surprising Uriel.

"What?! You made this kind of skill by yourself?!" Uriel exclaimed.

"It's nothing incredible considering it took me several decades to make a single skill," Coltin spoke. "At first, I began creating the skill after the almighty one banished me from the temple and trapped my wife inside, but I soon found out my newly developed skill could do nothing against the banishment of the temple."

Hearing his little story, Uriel stared at Coltin with a complex gaze. A look of a little admiration but also a bit of pity.

"Truly unfortunate." Uriel sighed while shaking her head. "There's nothing we can do about it now, but I advise you to quickly leave this place as soon as possible since there's a chance the almighty one will come soon."

Uriel and Jay had just stolen an item belonging to god and killed an Angel, so it would be weird if the almighty one would turn a blind eye to all this.

"Yes, we will leave quickly." Violet nodded with a smile.

Uriel also nodded her head and stepped back to stand next to Jay.

"Are you leaving right now?" Coltin asked.

"Yes, it would be in our best interest to leave right now," Uriel replied as if she was a professional secretary. "We have many things to do, after all."

"I see..." Violet mumbled before giving a deep bow again, and Coltin followed right after. "Thank you again for helping us. I'm sure we'll meet again."

After saying their proper farewells, Jay and Uriel quickly left the temple and went back into the forest. There weren't too many monsters, but even if they were, they didn't pose a threat to Jay since of his newly developed techniques.

"So what are we going to do next?" Jay asked in the midst of cutting down a ghoul in half, sending its innards flying into the air like a horror movie. Jay had gotten used to gore for a while now, but it still bothered him a tad bit.

"Training," Uriel answered. "Since you can't level up properly, we'll immediately start your training."

"Damn..." Jay sighed in disappointment. He knew that there would be catastrophes in the near future, so it was a given he would need to train. But he never thought it would be so soon.

"Ah... look at the time... I'm going to have to be eating dinner with my family soon..." Jay said while looking at the system interference, making up a quick excuse. Then finding the log-out button, Jay hovered his finger over it before pressing it, causing his body to disappear in a blink.

"Haaaa... that kid..." Uriel sighed as her body also disappeared into thin air.

....

Inside Jay's room.

Slowly opening his eyes, Jay reached for the headset, took it off, and set it beside him. Then getting up, he began to stretch his stiff body.

"Hmmm... Uriel..." Jay suddenly said after noticing that Uriel was beside him.

"Yes?" Uriel stared at Jay with a clueless expression.

"Can you hide?"

"Huh...? What do you mean?" Uriel asked, tilting her head in puzzlement.

"I mean, can you just hide with some magic? Since it would be bad if my mum found out about you..." Jay said as he shuddered from the thought of Maria finding out there was another female in her home.

"Yes, I think I can since I accumulated enough energy from before," Uriel said before turning completely invisible in a matter of seconds.

"You're still there, right?" Jay called out.

"Yes." A voice spoke in front of Jay, but Uriel was nowhere in sight.

"Good. Now, if anyone comes here other than me, then go into hiding." Jay ordered.

"Yes, I understand." Uriel nodded in understanding but then fixed her gaze. "Master..."

"Hmmm?" Jay looked back at Uriel.

"We have to start training after this, no matter what," Uriel said with a firm look.

"Alright, Alright." Jay sighed, waving his hand as he got ready to leave his room.

"Wait, where do you think you're going like that?" Uriel questioned while pointing at her head.

Following Uriel's finger, Jay stared at Uriel's head and at her horns.

"Ahh... right... you said in-game status would apply in the real world," Jay said in realization as he touched his own horns on his head. "How do you get rid of this?"

"Well, since you don't have any proper skills or magic to hide the horns, I guess I'll just do it myself," Uriel said, then waved her hand in front of Jay, completely erasing Jay's horns as if they never existed.

But patting down on his head, Jay realized the horns were still there. It was only made, so it was invisible.

"Thanks for reminding me," Jay said in an appreciative tone before finally leaving his room.

As Jay shut the door behind him, there was a sudden silence in the room. 'Hmmm... from how things are going, I don't think he's a bad person...' Uriel thought as she sat down on Jay's bed. 'I thought he would do something horrible to me after gaining full control over my body, but surprisingly he didn't. Addinalialy, he still sometimes follows my suggestions... does he do that since I have the most knowledge? If that's the case, I guess I found a smart one.'
