The Vampire King's Possession

Mauve lay in bed with the physician a little too close for comfort, but he was checking her temperature and other things. Mauve wasn't sure what, but by the look on his face, he wasn't very pleased.

Jael was in the room, right behind Ferguson, with an even worse look on his face. He couldn't see the physician's face, but he had that look even before Ferguson started to check Mauve. As soon as Ferguson had walked into the room stating his intentions, Jael immediately had a displeased look on his face, which Mauve found funny as they had discussed this prior.

After the meal was over, Ferguson had stated his intentions to check her well-being through Mill, and when Mauve heard it, she had agreed. He had made sure to give her some time to rest after the meal before he showed up.
