Carer of the Dead

Pharai

Even though I wanted to protest, I pushed the golden chair I was sitting on back and walked towards Suetekh who looked more than pleased with himself as he patted his right thigh. I crossed the space between us easily, before I could sit on his lap, I roughly pushed his head back which made him beam before I sat.

I did not blame my past self for admitting that his lap was my favourite seat in the universe because it truly was. It was like being wrapped in the warmest fuzzy blanket after a long day. Despite his hard muscles he was gentle whenever he held me. From the moment I was comfortable against him he wrapped his strong arm around me whilst the other read through sheets of papyrus.
