Jion the Watcher

Her claws were definitely a lot better than before but she was pissed off it seems. Probably not in the mood to be fighting people from her world so I don't blame her.

This knife would still hurt like hell but it seems my healing is finally kicking in again.

That's when I noticed Jion began to pull out a different knife and it had some weird aura to the blade. Then a strange mist began to form around the knife as it got closer.

"I don't have a problem disposing both of you, but you could leave without an issue." Jion directs at Rika as it twirls the knife in its hands.

"I've already agreed to help, plus I like the taste of his blood." Rika responds before dashing in.

"So be it." Jion says while walking towards Rika.

She charged in while Jion seemed to be casually approaching. Does nothing phase this damn thing?

I want to help too but am I capable of doing anything against this being? It is definitely a lot faster than I am but that doesn't mean it's not possible to fight it.

But before I could even react I noticed that the fight had already begun. Her claws began to clash against the knife Jion was using, but what exactly is the power behind the knife?

It can't be a normal knife since those claws definitely back a punch.

Bam!!!!!

That's when Rika managed to punch through and got a good hit across the beings face.

Knocking it back a little bit, the mask concealing its face had broken to pieces before our eyes. That's when long blond hair came flowing out from beneath the hood, dark red eyes with these familiar spirals around them like Rika's, and the deadly stare towards us.

But it was a guy with some serious intent to kill us here so this wasn't going to be a fun time. Rika has the same kind of eyes as this guy so it makes sense now how they'd be from the same world.

"Revealing my face was a grave mistake. All of this should've been over already." Jion says while shifting his gaze towards me.

That's pretty strong too but I wonder how much better it'll get as time goes on. Maybe it was achieved from upgrading agility which would make a lot of sense.

Meanwhile Rika was still throwing punches left and right at this guy. Each punch seemed to have a shockwave behind it, so it was definitely packing a lot of power behind them.

She was serious and he was not failing to dodge any of these attacks all of a sudden.

"See, blood isn't a necessary requirement for all people like us. Watch." Jion says as he goes for a counter attack.

Within an instant I witnessed the tide of the battle turn immediately. It was like nothing happened at first but then all of a sudden blood began to drip down from Rika.

"Speed is quite dangerous when used properly. Well, instead of using it to run away I should say." Jion says while twirling the knife around.

Rika fell to her knees and blood began to drip more onto the ground. He cut her up within an instant but how the hell was he that damn fast?!?!

Is my speed even going to be able to catch up with someone like that..?

Without thinking I dashed in at Jion with the intent to kill this bastard. As soon as I made it close I slashed down at him with my sword and it actually connected.

After slashing down across his chest he backed up a few meters away.

"Hmm. System Users will always be a problem but you already got such a high tier skill. I can't risk anything yet." Jion says while looking down at his wound.

Drip. Drip.

"Scared of Defeat all of a sudden?" I question while standing there on guard.

Jion was definitely a smart guy so maybe he realized something I didn't but I'm not sure what he'd see compared to me.

"No. I just like to play my cards the right way." He responds while sheathing his dagger.

I slowly made my way over to Rika while keeping an eye on him. This definitely didn't feel right by any means but he seems to be retreating or so it seems.

"Smart play." I say while crouching down next to Rika.

"I'll see you again soon Sevarian. This won't be the last time we meet." Jion says while slowly disappearing into the shadows.

"Are you okay Rika?" I question while paying attention to my surroundings.

That definitely won't be the last time but I'm not sure what to expect from someone like him. We already have enough problems in this new world the way it is.

"Cough. Cough. I'll be okay." Rika answers after letting out a couple of coughs.

Her wounds seemed to be slowly healing too but I'm curious if that's normal considering what she is. Most mobs have something special about them and she has powers of a dragon so maybe it's power is not just strength.

Healing wouldn't be far off to assume she has, so I wonder what else she's capable of.

"So you're good to continue?" I ask with a concerned tone.

"Yeah, let's go." Rika responds while slowly standing back up.

It'll take some getting use to but I'm sure she'll learn to let me help more as we travel together, if she doesn't leave me behind.

So we continued deeper into the dungeon and the feeling of death got even stronger as we continued. There had to be something big ahead of us.

But the question is what.
