"Where do we even go?" Rika asks while looking around.
"Straight ahead I guess." I respond while looking into the distance.
This place had no clear direction on where to go, and what was even stranger was the fact that my system didn't even give me any sort of quest upon entering.
Is this place independent from the system? Or does it automatically disperse the rewards when the gate is complete. I've got a lot of questions that probably won't have any answers yet.
"Yeah, It seems that straight ahead is the best bet for now." Kallista says while walking ahead of us.
I still don't get why I can't see her level, but I did notice she has something difficult. That status next to her name is something I've never seen before.
That's definitely new compared to what I've seen but then again, there's a lot of new things that I've never seen before.
"I see something up ahead." Rika says while pointing to a distant village.
Villages exist here? What exactly is this place?
After a few minutes of walking we had made our way to the village, but no one seemed to be around at all. The place was empty, or at least that's how it seemed since no one was making themselves known to us.
That's when all of a sudden I can hear someone dropping a bunch of stuff in one of the shacks.
"Over there." I say quietly while pointing at a small shack on the corner.
I'm not sure what to expect in terms of enemies yet since this is the first gate but I'm sure they will be different from the normal world. Probably are a lot stronger here than they are in my world.
Kick!
Kallista kicks open the door and we follow behind her, at first it doesn't seem like anyone is in the shack but then something moves across the room.
"P-Please help me.." A child says while coming out from the shadows.
"What happened here and why are you all alone?" Kallista questions while holding her sword.
"A legion of monsters killed everyone here, I just barely managed to hide from them.." The Child says as tears begin to run down his cheeks.
Hmm, so this place did have some sort of humans before it became a gate. It gives me more curiosity about the gates then I had before, is this what happens to other worlds?
Was our world not the first one to deal with such a situation?
"Don't worry, We will take care of the monsters." Kallista reassures the child.
"Please do... I'm afraid of going outside.." The Child says while crouching down on the floor.
"Seems we have some ideas now." Rika chimes in.
"Yeah, let's go find these things." Kallista replies.
I went out the door and they followed behind me, but what exactly is this legion that the boy spoke of? Will that be related to the boss of the gate here?
Like that we made our way out the village and began to travel onward. This legion couldn't be that hard to find, but I'm not exactly sure where I'm supposed to be looking.
Seems pretty normal not to know what's going on in this place. I feel terrible for that boy though, he didn't deserve anything that happened to him.
"Sevarian, do you know any magic?" Kallista asks while walking besides me.
"Not yet." I answer.
Magic is the one thing I could really use right about now. It's always been pretty powerful in games but so far I've had no encounters with anything to give me magic.
Even defeating that mage system user didn't give me anything.
"When we find a place to rest I'll teach you something." Kallista says with a cheerful tone.
"I appreciate that." I reply with a sincere tone.
Everything around us just felt so lifeless and just looked as if it had been destroyed by something. This was definitely a nicer world before whatever happened here.
"You're awfully quiet Rika." I say while walking up behind Rika.
"Just don't have much to say. This is terrible to see." Rika replies with anger in her voice.
It's interesting to see her so angry about this considering I didn't expect anything from her. She's had her different moods so it's kind of hard to predict how she'll be.
"Me too. The beings who did this will pay." Kallista chimes in while wielding her sword.
Everyone seems to be feeling the same about this place but why haven't we had much of an encounter yet? These creatures haven't even shown themselves one time yet.
That's the thing I'm most worried about since most mobs that take their time to show have proven to be the most dangerous. With the help of Rika and Kallista, I should be fine.
Speaking of which, I need to check the event and see how long is left.
{Event}
"Let the Hunt Begin."
•This event requires that you survive the newest wave of enemies.
•You are also given an extra requirement of having to survive against your hunters!
•Duration: Two Weeks.

~This is given to the highest rated users to help motivate them to keep growing, fighting, and to show who the strongest system user is.
~Time Remaining: 1 Week
{Exit}
One week is left already? That's a bit odd.
"You good Sevarian?" Rika asks while looking back at me.
"Yeah, was just checking my stuff quick." I respond while walking back up to them.
That event has quite the reward bonus to it so I'll need to play it cautious if we get out of here with time left. The target on me is already big enough as is.
"So you really are a system user, it's odd. I know you were at the meeting but some people went out because they followed the real system users." Kallista says with a surprised tone.
"Yeah, I'm lucky to have it." I reply with a grateful tone.
