A name to remember

Worst comes to worst she could just enter her space

Soon they arrived at his manor and their carriage rode inside, from a small distance away they could see a woman who just came out

Finally the carriage packed by the side and the three of them came down soon Kadesh walked up to his mother who immediately pulled him into her embrace

Seeing the worry on her face he knew that some information had been passed to her,

he didn't have any issue with that since it was the agreement he made before moving to the central city within the merchant town

After being refused of several things his mother knew a time would come when he wouldn't obey them again so she sort him his own residence which surprised everyone

but a condition was placed and this was she his mother would visit at least once a week in every month and he was to allow some extra guards whose job would be to report back to her in case of anything

Kadesh really loved his mother and became even more happy with her suggestions because if any one else were to say such his mother would be the first to refuse it but now that she said it herself, it was safe to say that she meant to keep her words

Miriam who saw her son, was happy to know he was fine but was very annoyed at those servants who disgraced their master in public but as a mother all she could do was to coax him but while she hugged him she noticed a child not too far away with Joram and with that she let go which actually surprised Kadesh,

knowing his mother she would start asking questions and even try to check his body but when he saw her line of sight and how she walked towards a particular person he let out a faint smile

Miriam stood right in front of the little girl and even bent down to meet her eyes while she displayed a genuie smile

"Hello child I'm Miriam, this brats mother and how about you what's your name?"

Asahel who had walked down from the carriage and stood by the side with Joram watched the small interaction between the both of them before suddenly this woman walked up to her, but she didn't answer

The woman Miriam wasn't offended at all instead her smile increased she then looked at her son for an answer

"Uhmmmm..... she's an acquaintance of my"

"Huhhhh....sigh...and here I thought she was your child"

"Mother....how could you say that and how old do you think I am"

Miriam didn't bother with Kadesh anymore and turned back to Asahel who she could tell was showing no affection or what so ever but this did not make her lose hope instead within herself she sort to make this child get close to her

Soon they all walked in to the house

The servants didn't waste time and served the meal their master's mother had prepared before her son arrived while eating Miriam kept adding more dishes to Asahel's plate making the child feel awkward

"You need to eat more....to grow strong healthy bodies"

Kadesh felt sort of happy that someone else took his place and he could clearly see the person wasn't entirely happy

Asahel who was now suddenly feeling weird didn't know if she should get mad or happy that someone was being nice to her so she spoke up

"Asahel"

Both mother and child were confused so they looked at the one who spoke

Asahel sighed and didn't even know why she was getting friendly with these people but still she spoke up again

"That's my given name"

"Ohhhh I see well that's a lovely name"

With the way she mentioned it the two adults could some how tell that was a name not given to her by her parents

And this was indeed true.

Back at the orphanage the head Madame was the one who gave her this name

although nothing was wrong with the name but after getting rejected by others and was usually alone, the head Madame thought to console her and told her that the butterfly necklace she was wearing was a gift from her birth mother and that one day she'll come back and take her away,

only then did Asahel had something to live for as for her name she believed her mother would give her a new name once she comes for her and besides back at the orphanage almost no one called her by her name which was why it took some time for her to say the name

If not for the head Madame she would have even forgotten she actually had a name since she was mostly used to being called a jinx or a witch

The mother and son felt they touched a sore spot so they decided to avoid such topic of origin

A sweet smile appeared on Miriam's face as she recalled a feast she would be attending in two days time

Though she comes to her son's place once a week every month but this month she had been around for more than a week this was because a friend of hers from a lower noble birth had invited her for her first son's achievements towards becoming the acting heir to their family so they thought to hold a feast

Holding a feast for occasions like this doesn't need crowd and such especially since their title was a Viscount

but because the wife was some what close to Kadesh's mother who is a daughter of a Duke and a wife to a minister she thought to have an extravagant feast to show off her friendship to other social status noble and their families
