But because the wife was some what close to Kadesh's mother who is a daughter of a Duke and a wife to a minister she thought to have an extravagant feast to show off her friendship to other noble families and their families
Miriam wasn't the only daughter of her family but she was of a weak birth and often stayed indoors which was why she was able to avoid the dramas of the Nobles
but it also had it's disadvantages because she yearned for a friend and so far all her age mates already formed their cliques, it was a coincidence she came across this Baroness whom she now took as a very dear friend
The Miss from the Baron's family wasn't a bad person but after getting so close to a high noble she started acting high herself especially when she held parties, she would try her possible best to invite her best friend Miriam to show off
Before they both got married it was a big gossip about how a Duke's daughter was friendly with a Baron's daughter and due to their close friendship the Baron's daughter was able to marry an Earl who was also a little bit close to the minister Miriam married
As for this feast Miriam had been helping her friend to organise the occasion, she didn't have much to do back at home and she loved being free like how the commoners are so she never mind the gossips and still tagged along her friend
but when she thought about how her son may or may not come with her she hoped to persuade him but fortunately he brought an angle with him and she had beautiful dresses that would be perfect for the child
Once Kadesh saw that smile he felt shiver run down his spine because this could only mean torture but still he was relieved when he realised his mother wasn't looking at him but at Asahel
"Say sweet child would you like to go out with me I promise you'll love it"
Asahel was about to refuse when Miriam reached out to her and held her small soft hands into her own delicate hands
Miriam thought of this since Asahel would meet her age mates there besides she felt this child was lonely so it would be nice to make one or two friends
This action stunned Asahel because it felt warm like when those people gathered around her when she was dieing in her previous life
for someone who was emphatic this feeling was really nice and genuine and she didn't know when she subconsciously nodded her head in approval to go along
Miriam was very pleased and didn't waste anytime, as soon as they were done eating she brought Asahel to a private close garden and varieties of refreshments were placed on the table while she ordered the maids to bring a whole wardrobe full of pretty gorgeous clothes just for a female
Kadesh who happened to see this couldn't help but felt a slight shiver and quickly rushed off to his room this was because those clothes were customised just for him when he was smaller and they had been preserved very well over the years
Since these materials used were top notch they didn't wax old and would still make a child cry to have them on, this was why Miriam was very happy she had preserved those clothes
When Asahel saw the maids bringing rows of clothes over, the enjoyment she was having while eating those deserts quickly vanished
Fairy who had been sleeping since woke up when he smelled the sweetness of the deserts so why Asahel was busy eating he also started eating happily totally forgetting what made him fall asleep in the first place
But just as Asahel was surprised by the long rows of princess looking gowns Fairy was also surprised
"Master I think you're gonna steal the lime light when you wear those"
Asahel had a deep frown this wasn't something she seemed pleased with but she quickly covered such frown and waited for what Kadesh's mother wanted to do
It didn't take long after the clothes were carefully placed that Kadesh's mother Miriam picked about ten different types with wonderful designs then turned back to Asahel
"Asahel why don't we try these ten sets first and see which one suits you the best"
Asahel didn't even move from the chair
Miriam still didn't give up with a motherly smile on her face she walked to the frozen child who didn't move from her seat
Soon she carried her like how any mother would carry their child while the maids followed from behind with the clothes that were picked
Asahel who had never been carried like that was deeply embarrassed and quickly slide down to walk on her own
Seeing this Miriam still held her hand and walked with her to a room to try each clothes
After about an hour or two a dress was finally selected and the child had lost all forms of struggle
Poor Asahel was too tired to even fight back and soon fell asleep in the room that was given to her
Miriam smiled as she watched the sleeping child then she went out to prepare herself
The feast would be held in two days time during the weekend and she had already prepared her clothes but now that she was bringing Asahel with her she thought to wear the same type of dress Asahel would wear so that night a request was given to her tailor who wanted to cry
Although she got good money from this client of her's but sometimes she wanted to refuse some orders especially something at the last minute
but all in all she could only accept and that same night Asahel's dress was sent over so the tailor could take a look at it and make an adult size
Two days flew by quickly and the feast would soon commence, Miriam had woken up early and prepared Asahel who by now was no longer happy with the motherly affection she had been receiving but tried to be calm untill all this was over,
While they dressed up, Kadesh was not left out, though he wished he was
His mother made sure to drag him along and prepare a good and comfortable stylish clothes for him
He could only sigh and accept his fate besides he wasn't gonna dress like a girl anymore
Soon the family set of in their carriage toward the estate of the Earl's home
The merchant town was the biggest town that housed both merchant, rich traders and lower birth nobles.
While the merchant lived in the town or even outside of the town the rich folks lived in the central city away from the busy trading of the town but still within the merchant town and then the lower birth nobles lived much closer to the capital.
This those not necessarily mean that all the Lord's of each fief lived close to the capital, they still had their fief to take care of but decided to live close to the capital so as to be close to the royals
This was why many of them had estates while some just had their house and businesses then back at their fief they had a mansion
As for the family Kadesh's mother was going to meet they were one of those who could afford an estate close to the capital and still had their family home back at their fief
But unlike others Miriam's family had a much bigger fief on the other side of the kingdom and also a large estate twelve times the size of any lower birth nobles
but where her son choosed to buy a house that would still be close was inbetween the rich folks and the lower birth nobles which was in central city Merchant town and also far away from the capital
As for their family home it was in the capital and though his father had a small estate back there he didn't have a fief because he wasn't the one who inherited the position from his father instead he worked hard till he was recognised enough to be a minister and even buy an estate in the capital
With the distance from Kadesh's house to the Earl's home it didn't take long for them to arrive and were lead inside
