As the two walked out from the inn Kadesh immediately looked at Joram while passing him a message, soon they both walked out hurriedly
Kadesh stayed behind with the carriage while Joram quickly left to accomplish the task given to him
As for Asahel she had reached the road that led to the big tree but she didn't go towards it instead she followed a group of traders who were heading towards the exit of the town
This was because she didn't know the way out of the town and she didn't want to enter her space, it was still night inside the space and even if it wasn't she still needed to get out of the town
About five minutes later the wagon she followed finally reached the town's exit but they were in a long queue
"Hey did you hear what happened?"
"Hmmmm...I heard someone died"
"Not just that but it was a monster that killed someone"
"Monster....that's lame what are you five?"
"But... I'm serious"
"Yea sure.....sure I believe you just tell me one thing did you see it happen?"
"Well.....no but I heard it really was a monster"
"I wouldn't go around believing such nonsense If I were you"
Because of the incident concerning the four traders and rumours saying that a monster had eaten them, the officer in charge had condemned such words and wouldn't let others say such by believing there's such a thing as a monster
Besides they weren't staying in a mountain region so where could the monster possibly come from
As the line slowly moved people at the back kept talking about the rumour they had heard
Some talked about the four traders some talked about the Countess who had been cursed while some talked about the begger
But the only legit one everybody focused on was the curse on the Countess's s home during a feast they held for their eldest son
As for Asahel she wrapped her head and face in a cloth and kept quiet while following the wagon towards the exit
Because the so called monster was so unbelievable it was hard for people who didn't witness it to believe it
So while more people dismissed such rumours those who spoke about it were beginning to feel it was false and also stopped talking about it besides they didn't see it either
Soon the trader's wagon Asahel had joined reached its turn
Normally they wouldn't be long queues when leaving the merchant town but since those four traders disappearance the security has been extremely tight
Upon arrival the guard on duty did his usual check up and was about to permit the trader to move on when he caught sight of Asahel who was sitting quietly at a corner
He turned to the trader for confirmation of the child but the trader quickly said the child was tagging along and he knew nothing about the child
The guard then walked up to Asahel who by now was already fidgeting. She didn't believe anyone would immediately start searching for her so to avoid suspicions she didn't run off even though she was already at the gate
The guard finally reached her and lowered himself to take a closer look, once he saw some part of her face his eyes immediately lit up.
"I think this child will be staying with us"
When the trader heard this he didn't care, it's not like he knows the child and besides for the guard to have an interest in the child meant the child must have done something
So he went along while the guard pulled Asahel out
Asahel was shocked by what the guard said but before she knew it he had pulled her out and dragged her towards the side while another guard took his place
Due to how she kept struggling to be free from his grip her head wrap had fallen off but this only made the guard more happy when he saw her face this was because he was gonna get some bags of silver if not gold just from returning a runaway brat
Asahel who didn't know why exactly this guard had held tightly to her was beginning to lose her temper
As for the guard....about three minutes ago a servant came to meet him but this servant came from a high nobles home and he knew him very well
This servant was none other than the one who came to inquire about the happenings a month ago concerning the deaths around the path that led to the big tree,
but now this servant was sent by Joram under Kadesh's order
The servant had simply relayed a message that was given to him which was "his master's nephew had ran away from home and might join a trader when leaving the town and if seen should be held and brought back to his master's house for a reward"
This message wasn't given to only this guard but also on other exit as well
This exit was the longest one away from where Asahel came through but since she didn't know her way around the town it bought enough time for the message to reach this exit
"All you nobles with your spoilt brats running away sigh...if only I was born in such family"
The guard couldn't help but curse while pulling Asahel back to the town
He was happy to be given such a large amount of money just for bringing a runaway brat back to his house so he failed to pay attention to the one he was pulling
Asahel who had been struggling to free herself from the guard's grip but was no way close to the strength of the guard was no longer trying to play it safe anymore
Suddenly the sky that had just had its sun set began to have a gathering of rain clouds with heavy winds
At first no one paid attention to the weather but when the wind became very strong to the point of pulling things up, everyone began to get serious and started to secure whatever they had with them
But this did not stop the guard from moving along with Asahel
Fairy who was beside Asahel felt afraid when he looked at it's master who was anything but a child because right now she could as well be considered a grim reaper,
as if on cue lightening and thunder shook the place making the animals around to become unstable and seek to leave that very place
