"who does she think she is trying to act like my mother?"

During those times witches were captured and thrown in the dungeon and was never heard of again but they were still those who lived among others and blended in the society very well

And sometimes few were called if an abnormal phenomenon occurred within there surroundings but this was hard to confirm and it was just a rumour.

This was why Kadesh was having a hard time understanding his thoughts since it led to sources he couldn't even find

Thinking like this he felt too tired and requested for another cup of tea while waiting for Joram

Miriam wasn't entirely angry at her son Kadesh but she felt like if he were in her shoes then he wouldn't leave his friend who was seriously injured

She could only sigh.....but still she thought to look for Asahel

Just remembering that the poor child was also there and would be frightened from what happened recently she hit her head in realisation and walked towards the room Asahel was in

Miriam knocked on the door and was told to come in

"Asahel I'm so sorry that I wasn't by your side during that terrible weather it's alright I'm here now"

Asahel who was sitting on her bed with just her inner wear was deeply hugged but she said nothing

She neither hugged back nor pushed her away and so the two were together until Miriam felt sleepy and cuddle Asahel to sleep as well

"Master....are you alright?"

Fairy asked worriedly after what had happened at the Countess's home

"What do you think?"

Asahel was still in Miriam's embrace and her face rested upon her bosom so she raised her head and looked up at the woman's face who had a slight frown filled with worry but nonetheless she didn't pull away from her

"Well....I think they deserved it.....but how did you do it...in all my years I've never seen anyone do such"

Asahel was silent for a while before responding

"Fairy how much can you actually remember?"

for some reason Asahel felt like something was wrong with Fairy especially when he suddenly falls asleep she would end up feeling some emotional pain within her

When Fairy heard this he didn't know how to answer such 'how much can he remember' that's like asking how old he is and he didn't know how old he was

Since Fairy didn't answer Asahel didn't bother to respond as of now she felt very weak and tired so she slept off as well

Fairy who was cracking it's brain to try an answer the question saw that Asahel had slept off so it flew down and rested in between the two and slept off as well

"Maybe I'll know when I wake up"

The entire household was quiet till evening when dinner was prepared and served, the family ate quietly until Asahel mentioned that she wanted to go back

From the beginning she didn't think she would stay this long but now something this huge has happened she needed to leave

Miriam was the first to persuade her to stay, she also felt guilty since she must have traumatized the poor child

She only thought of this since Asahel would meet her age mates there besides she felt this child was lonely

She didn't know that such unforseen circumstances could occur. Asahel didn't even try to think about it and immediately refused.

She had already accepted once but now she needed to move and besides she had better things to think about like how to reduce the happenings around her

Miriam felt a little down but thought to put that thought away besides she could sense that the child was not willing to open up, saying her name already felt like her limit

And she already went out with her once.....maybe what happened was why she felt uncomfortable

As soon as they were done Asahel quickly requested to leave and of course Miriam tried to make her spend the night but she still refused

"Mother I think that's enough I have a feeling she's not happy, anyway I'll send her back to the inn maybe some other time"

Kadsh's mother finally stopped and let the matter go still hoping that some other time her son would bring the child over

Kadesh had hoped to obtain more information from Asahel but at the end she refused to stay over and another serious matter took place today

he could see she was not used to how his mother acted so in order to get some clues he decided to stop his mother from making it worst and then drop her off at the inn still using a chance to ask his questions

but to his disappointment Asahel was not in the mood to answer any of his questions

This was because she was feeling irritated

As to why she felt that way was because of Kadesh's mother Miriam

"Master are you still upset....I bet she didn't act like that on purpose besides it's the first time you both have met"

"That makes it even worst...who does she think she is trying to act like my mother?"

Asahel didn't hate Kadesh's mother but she just couldn't accept such love

in fact ever since the Head Madame back at the orphanage told her about her mother and also Fairy speaking a little about her mother she had sealed up her heart for any love coming from someone else

Unlike most orphans that would probably hate their mothers after finding out that they had been abandoned Asahel was entirely the opposite and this was mostly due to the treatment she got from living at the orphanage

Before the Head Madame told her about her necklace she always cherished it but When the Head Madame had told her about her necklace relating to her mother and also a way for her mother to come back to her she felt it was very special

As for why she thought like this was because no other child in the orphanage had anything left behind by their mothers who probably must have dropped them like her mother dropped her

So to her that love from her mother she never knew was much better with this necklace, than the hatreds she received from those she knew

But before coming here she had given up hope of getting adopted even without knowing that her name had already been removed from future adoption,

but when Fairy spoke about her mother she had felt some kind of closure to the woman she never knew and most likely wouldn't see again

She decided that alone was much better than a physical love. Asahel might have strong emphatic persona but even she herself did not want to feel such emotions like motherly love from another woman even though she felt this woman's love was genuine

Kadesh realised that Asahel wasn't in a good mood so he dropped the topic and soon they arrived right in front of the inn.

"I'll come pick you up in the morning and we can visit any pastry shops you like, how about that?"

After seeing how she loved eating every desert that was given to her, Kadesh felt like it was better to use such tactics to bring her out and talk more

Though he planned to have some discussions with her later but he still had other things to settle like the incident that happened earlier today

"Sigh...I feel like a lot of weird things are happening these days"

It wasn't that late since the sun was just about to set but still some shops had began to close due to the incident that happened about a month ago concerning the four traders

At this point Asahel had come down from the carriage and was just looking as everyone was packing up when her eyes caught hold of someone.

But the funny thing was that she didn't know who this person was when suddenly that familiar pain in her heart and head began to ache

The pain this time was intense even worst than she had felt earlier today or during the past weeks when suddenly memories came flooding into her

Kadesh who realised he had been ignored again could only sigh...but almost immediately he realised she was in pain since her face that was usually emotionless now contained series of painful expressions

"Asahel are you alright?"

He had just finished speaking when he felt a strong killing intent which was very surprising since he had never been to war before such perception should not be easy to come by from someone like him but usually it would come easily for hunters or soilders

Before he could come down to check on her he suddenly heard screams, only for him to look out through the opened carriage door and saw something he couldn't believe exist in a million years

Of course all this was happening because of a certain someone

Asahel who was previously in pain was now steaming in anger this was because of the memories she just obtained

The person whom Asahel had suddenly seen and not recognised was none other than the beggar who had absued the original owner of the body of whom she now resided within

The memories she had seen was not something any female would hope to befall upon themselves

"You deserve to die....."

It was at this moment a very strong killing intent filled the air and even those who had not fought before and those who had fought in small battles felt it.

As soon as she said those words under her breath a portal opened right beside were the begger was laying, without knowing what was about to befall him

A woman and her child who had just passed beside the begger and dropped some coins when the portal had opened

And a strange creature poked its head out, that was about the time the woman screamed and everyone became alert.

The portal that was opened was not big enough for the creature to come out but it's head was able to pass through

The beggar who was able to react on time because of the woman's scream, stood up immediately and tried to run away.
