Temple And Priest

"When we were born, we didn't understand our power but after some trial and error, we found this power is not of primordial nature we thought of, but only a portion of power we acquired from your blood."

Emma said, looking at me.

'My wolf! Is it the cause? Ah! That's why in my wolf's presence, even Gelds power got suppressed,'

Alene remembered what had happened in her dream.

She felt even more confused.

"What is happening with me?" Alene asked, stroking her belly.

"Matilda! She didn't get born but instead she is now bound to your soul."

Emma said.

Even though everyone was shocked, not even a noise of breath let out of their mouth.

A pin-drop silence prevailed.

Well, upto now I thought I was the cause of war but no, I am not now.

Now I am the cause to stop the war. It was bearable to understand that I will cause the war but now it became an even more pressing and heavy load on my shoulders without even wanting it.

As I was lost in thoughts about such nuances, Frank had thought of even more complex things.

"Well now it doesn't matter if we are going to live or die in war. So, please elaborate on that ritual which is worrying you this much."

Frank's words looked simple but they carried mysterious weight.

"It is a ritual which is completed only when there are thousands of werewolf and vampires sacrificed by an individual. Drake, I think he has almost completed half of it." Emma said.

"So, what's the thing we need to do?" Betty said.

"Let me finish this first. He is searching for hybrids nowadays. Because hybrids carry blood of both, it would be reasonable to leave out tiresome work of finding werewolf and vampire numbering to two thousands, instead hunting down hybrids about half a thousands and finish the ritual."

"Are they targeting us?" Frank asked.

"No! They will. From what Ned said from his trip, Drake has taken in Jake and Adam, who know secrets about Alene and her children. So, they will soon come after them."

Frank raised his eyebrows and knew something which they were trying to convey.

"Okay! So we need to bait them, you ask. Right?" Frank said with a smile on his face.

While Betty and I were confused and still away from grasping the plan and their talking.

"Yes! Now that most of the werewolf have acquired new powers with Nathan's arrival mysteriously, we have the force to defend and attack both. We need…"

"Need to gather everyone together, right?" Frank cut off Emma.

Now that everything came down to a good conclusion and most of the doubts were cleared literally, we broke our long night meeting and went to sleep.

"I hope it will not be another friend dying without a cause."

I said holding Frank's hands.

"I won't leave your side even to my last breath." His words calmed me but when I turned to look at his face.

'Urgh! He is still in the mood of joking.'

But what could he actually do now. We both fell in love for unknown and after this much has been kept from us, a new thread of attachment bound us tight.

Betty, who had still thought of me as a cause, finally brought her grudge down and accepted me as I was.

Just like this ride to the temple through wild woods, which will bring light and plain in the end, we moved towards with a new hope and faces which brought love and care in between even more.

Let it go, let's get into my life's fast forward part.

We arrived at the temple, where it was hidden inside this rocky mountain.

After this, there were peculiar buildings and rock statues.

A lady's statue with domineering eyes and hands holding a dagger appeared in every building stop.

We crossed about five buildings and came to an open ground with a single building in the centre.

Outside noises and rustle of a leaf, even in the slightest move, rang out. It was calm and soothing to stay here. But my wolf form, which I rarely bring out, came out without any call and thoughts.

"Synge!" I mumbled.

Turning to others, I looked very puzzled.

'Huh?! No one has turned.'

"What happened, Synge?"

"Grrr…"

A soft growl which felt it was surrendering and apologizing came from Synge and suddenly a sting fell onto my head.

Grabbing my head, I raised my eyes to what the building in front me was, has turned into a large wolf.

I turned to others with a thought, they would be shocked to see that happening but everyone seemed to pause, I mean like frozen and not breathing.

"My child! It is me who has given you the blessing but unfortunately it has gone astray in your life."

Wolf in front of me turned into a lady and walked towards me.

'Synge!'

I tried calling my wolf out but shockingly it was not there at the moment.

'Huh?!'

Soon after I called it, a dim light flickered beside this mysterious lady.

Not even to phase longer, it turned into what it was supposed to be my wolf.

"Synge! But how?"

Synge was in front of me just like in my first dream but much more refined and elegant. His aura felt soothing and even more divine.

As I dawdled over, the lady had already closed in.

"Who are you?" I stepped back out of reflex.

"How interesting? You are a hybrid just like me. But how did you get such an exquisite wolf at your disposal?"

The lady in front said such words which froze me that instant.

"Huhuhu! Cough… cough… I had an tiring life but that you are here… it became worth it."

She laughed and turned back.

Approaching the centre, she sat on an elevated flat stone beside the building and waved her hands.

"Come! I have something to say to you."

My body automatically moved and Synge besides her looked at me menacingly.

"Do you know this wolf inside you is master of all wolves but unfortunately you won't have any time practicing with it?"

"Umm… how can you do all this?"

"Hahahaha!"

My futile attempt to find the answer made her laugh.

"It comes with age. But…"

Her face sulked down and a word unknowingly came out of my mouth.

"War!"
