Betrayal, and Revenge

"Rose. No! Frenade and the others are working to destroy our relationship with the monsters. We can't let them be!" Dad shouted as I ran to the door. I look back. "What do we do then? We don't have enough time. After what Tyler told me, I'm starting to think that they've been planning this for ages." "There is a way. I heard them talking about it." My father says determinedly.

"There is a room, three floors right. In there, there is a bomb. If I set it off and escape in time, it can impact the whole building." My father says. "You mean if WE set it off." I say, looking at my father pointedly. "No way. I cannot risk losing any of you." He said, looking at me and my mother. "Theodore, I am not letting you go." My mother says. "I'm going. We can't lose any more time. Both of you need to get out of here." I say demandingly.

"Very nice. Perfectly trapped. What is Theodore going to do now? Without Thesilius to help him?" Radmane asked. "The girl and her mother are trapped too." Frenade said, choosing to ignore Radmane's question. "Good." They walked in silence, hearing only the sounds of their footsteps. When suddenly, Radmane asks, "Frenade?" Frenade turns to Radmane. "Why did you go to their side? And then switch back?" They walk in silence for a moment, and then Frenade replies, "I didn't. I was a double spy. I had orders." "But why come to this side in the first place? We're working against dragons, and you are one."

"In the great war, while everyone was fighting, I saw almost four dragons, fighting just one unarmed boy, who was hardly even ten." He looked down, but kept walking, his tail swishing behind him. "What happened?" Radmane asked, his voice almost sounding gentler. "I couldn't just stand and watch. I saved the boy and his life, but the dragons considered that betrayal. I was never allowed among them again." He tries to hide his tears. The two walk in silence, but the stillness is broken, as someone comes rushing in. "Sir! They've escaped!

"Who has escaped?!" Radmane asks, turning back in surprise. "Theodore, his wife and his daughter sir! They've escaped!" The thin man says, trembling as Radmane stomps towards him in anger. "I can't believe it. The plan was going perfectly! Can't I trust you even for five minutes?!" Radmane shouts in rage, raising his fist to punch the messenger. "Radmane! Calm down. They couldn't have gotten out. Ask everyone to come to a standstill. Secure the gates!" Frenade said, sending the messenger running.
