Instead of answering Carina, Gears grabbed her behind the head and kissed her with everything he felt. Savage let out a loud wolf whistle until Kaiser moved around and let out a little growl before falling back to sleep. Everyone laughed, and Gears touched his forehead to Carina’s.

“I’m very happy, I just wish I could wrap you in bubble wrap so that I can know that you’re safe.”

Carina smiled.

“I’m always safe with you. Plus, you eliminated the only threat to me and Kaiser.”

Gears frowned and looked at Savage who looked away and then stood up.

“I’m going to go grab all of us something to eat.”

Carina looked at Savage and back to Gears.

“Is Benjamin still alive?”
