Class Alliance

Ethan popped his head out of the bush along with the tree and look ahead. There was a whole bunch of students sitting together and seems to be resting while around ten of the student keeping eyes on the surrounding.

Ethan withdraws a long remote control with various colored button of various sized. He looked at the students which seems to be laughing, talking and eating while some seems to be resting and smile bitterly. He really doesn't want to do it but… he just hoped no serious injuries will occur and press few buttons in continuous and irregular sequence.

"…I am sorry…"

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

Multiple bombs explode right beneath the ground catching all the students in the vicinity off-guard. There were screams of pain, panic and confusion but none of them were able to out-voice the sound of explosion.

Ethan looked away and left in the direction of portal. It was Class D which was in charge of clearing this dungeon. They were doing quite great and Ethan was sure that they can easily make their way to Top 5, If there was no interference at all… It's just if there was no 'interference' at all…

Ethan left the dungeon with a bitter expression. The thing is if it was not him then there will be someone else. Alice wouldn't hesitate to ask other students of his class to do it. They might not even care if some students die in the progress. At the least. He had done it in a way that will slow down their speed with less of the causality.

Of course, he didn't do it for the benefits Alice had promised him. He is a shallow person after all.

…

Class A made their way to boss nest and stops in front of it. A dark purple mist seems to cover the area in front of them and blocks their vision.

"…Let's retreat."

Alice ordered everyone to retreat to safe area. She had already marked the places and killed the monsters in the way which secures them an area to rest. She didn't rely on natural spots as there is a chance someone might a set-up a trap just like she did.

Students move toward the location and start setting a make-shift camp. Alice and other students of second group find themselves a spot to rest as only first group was responsible for setting up tent and second ones were busy on their own.

Adam picked up a water bottle and make his way to Lily who was sitting alone. He hide his presence as he knows she will be alerted if he make it obvious.

"…Hey Lily, Are you thirsty?"

"…I am-m-m not, I will take my leave."

Adam tried to say another word but she left the spot right after saying that. He might really consider killing both Ethan and Lucas if this continuous… Shouldn't she, at the least, try to hear his side of story?

"…You can't be more obvious with your moves…"

Lucas approached from behind. 90% of him is enjoying it and remaining ones find him quite pitiful. Lily seems to be the type who perceives other with a single point. It is unlikely Adam is going to get anywhere with her.

"Whose fault do you think it is?"

"Yours…~"

"Just fuck off… I am not mood to humor you…"

Adam just sighed and try to shoo him away. Adam didn't think his presence will help him in any way so he might as well as disappear.

"Well, for starting, how about trying not to be obvious?"

"What is it now?"

"You look like a dog in heat can't wait to fuck his bitch…"

"What did you just call her?"

Adam turned to him with menacing gaze. Lucas stand straight as he felt he said something he shouldn't have.

"…I said she look as beautiful as princess."

Adam moves closer to him. Lucas backed-off as he felt threatened. Adam might not do something now but they are just going to fight boss monster. If he pull some crap on him during the battle then he might even die due to that. Lucas changed his answer as he knows it might not do him any good.

"Angel…?"

"Not enough… but it will work for now. Remember to call her goddess after she graduates…"

"…Right…?"

Lucas gave him a nod with a weird expression. Genuinely, he feels that Adam might not be able to get his shit together in the end. Lucas looked at him with a serious gaze. As a friend, He needed to help him deal with this…

Alice passes behind him and he turns around as his nose caught her fragrance. Lucas follows her while thinking,

'…After situation took irreversible turns… '

"…This will be whole plan."

Alice ended her short explanation as she explained her battle strategy. Alice had divided students into more groups. Most of them are leaded by students from second group and their main objective is to hold of the elite monsters around Dungeon boss.

She leaded her class to boss monster's nest and stand in front of the mist. This mist had power of slow them down. Lizards are not influenced as they had developed immunity to it.

Wind Mages came forward and starting to push away the mist. Alice had already informed them for it. Now, all that's is left is to charge forward and make their way to dungeon boss.

…Storm Explosion.

Dark clouds cover the sky and charged bolts of lightning falls from the sky continuously over an area. All students of Class A looked at the scene with stunned expression. They can't understand anything until they saw the colorful barrage of attacks heading toward them from the same direction.

Alice stopped and looked in that direction with a surprise gaze. She was just making her way to Adam to interrogate him about his seemingly stupid action but barrage of attack made her change her intentions.

"…Deploy defensive spells."

Even though she commanded it, it was already too late. Few of their tankers went ahead and some of them user their skills to defend yet it only lowered intensity of the attack which slams into their groups…

Explosion soon covers the small area where few groups of their students were arranged. Alice gritted her teeth with a frustrated expression. It is impossible for anyone follow them and from the barrage of attacks, It seems to be work of a group but there is no way for groups to made their way in the dungeon as they will exhausted before they reach them.

Explosion on both sides finally resides and they become visible to each other. Alice was the one who was shocked the most.

It was not one or two group but there were around 40 of them! She can't believe that a whole class was ambushing them. Is that means that they had given up on their test just to hold them back?! Alice looked at the students once more and replaced her thoughts.

It was not a class but more than one class. She can recognize few of them that doesn't seems to be in same class, It seems class below them had join hands to disturb their results. Her eyes turned

Rank-5 Beryl Ignis. He seems to be hell-bent on messing with them, but currently it seems he had also suffered from Storm Explosion.

"Damn it! Don't let them get away! Make sure they fails the test completely!"

"Attack them now! They are at the weakest!"

"This time our class will be take the first position not Class A!"

Both sides were not in good shaped after initial exchange. Other side seems to be taken damage of 50% yet their own side doesn't seem to be any better than their side. Only difference was other side suffered because of one attack and their side suffered because of combined attack. They don't even want to imagine what would happen if Adam didn't attack first…

Alice was shaken slightly but she hurriedly collected herself and tried to think of a way to deal with this situation.

She did expect something will happen but she didn't think that classes will join hands to deal with them like this. They don't held any advantage as hostile students have more high rankers than them. While their class holds the highest top 10 in majority, around half of them consist of those below top 100.

"Hey!"

Alice turned her head as she heard a voice directed toward her with a irritated expression. Adam was taken back and stop with his one behind-leg in air. Alice saw his reaction and hurriedly fixed her expression. She is elegant and noble lady. She can't just show her ugly side to other.

"What is it…?"

"Ahem, I have a plan."

"…Let's hear it."

"Let's charge into nest…"

"…I expect too much from you, I should have seen that coming."

Alice just turned away from him. He must be out of his mind to suggest this idea. They will be surrounded by front and rear both and only asking to be wiped out. She almost forget that he hang out with those two.

"Hear me out first, I am saying we will charge and have them fight together with us."

"…Even if your absurd plan works, it won't matter as we will waste too much time which is exactly what they want. Other classes will already have cleared their dungeon."

Alice understand what he is planning. He wants to charge in and have their ambusher fight the elite monster with them. Monster doesn't differentiate to attack others as it is same tale for them as long it is intruder but if that happen, ambusher would just delay their battle with boss monster which will be equal to failure as other classes will already done with their dungeons.

"That's why I will…"

Adam explained his A-plan to her. Alice looked into his lively black eyes that seems to full of confidence and absoluteness. Realistically, his suggested plan seems pretty impossible to happen. If he did, he will set a record for himself but that's why Alice had hard time believing him. Looking at Adam, she remembered Ethan who alone slay three E-Rank monsters alone while being a G-Rank. She closed her eyes and prepared herself to take this risk. She doesn't have other choice…

"Let's do it…"

Adam nodded with a bright smile. He didn't have much but his charm seems to work at almost all places. She might Lucas's target but who is to blame him if she falls for him.

"Everyone charge into the nest…"

All Class A students turn their head to Alice as they seem to hear something unbelievable. Did she go crazy due to pressure? It will spell their death if they went inside now.

"…I won't repeat myself, Charge inside the nest now!"

Alice said in slightly high voice which straightened back of every class A students. They have unwilling, confused and doubting looking on their face but they know that if they want to survive this peril, they need to trust her blindly. She have already proven herself in last test. All they can do is trust her once again. They moved toward nest with a defensive formation.

Hostile Students heard her voice and saw them moving inside. They looked at class A with a sneer, particularly Beryl was most excited at the situation. He had been screw over by these students twice. It's time for payback. He also ordered students to slow down slightly and let them dive deeper inside the nest. He will just sandwiched them from both sides and it will be his victory.

He kept his eye on two particular girls on whom he wants to intact his revenge on. He might not be handle them in one on one fight but this situation is too good for him to not take advantage of.

Alice led the students into the nest and divided students into different group than initially planned. She have all the second group students to form their own team with the first group students.

Their class finally stumble into lounge of vicious lizards that guard the boss monsters lair. It's either do or die now…
