Operating Base

The soldiers rose through the ground like the offspring of the mother planet. This shocked Ferdinand, but that didn't stop him from admiring the beauty of it. It was almost as if he have seen someone getting born. Soon enough, all the soldiers were completed and are now kneeling in front of Ferdinand.

"We are at your command, general!"

The way the soldiers called him shocked Ferdinand. After all, he was only but an officer in the army; he has yet to reach the rank of the general. Now there are people calling him general, which made him happy, but it felt like a cheat to him.

"First, what's the name of the commanding officer of this squad?"

"That would be me general, I'm officer Simpson, sire."

"I see, as you can see, the world we're in right now is filled with half living and half dead beings called walkers, target the spinal cord to kill it. I want to know if you lot are loyal to me!"

"General, our utmost loyalty lies on you, the one who summoned us and rescued us from hell. We are truly grateful to you, general. "

It flabbergasted Ferdinand as he had heard the word hell, though he didn't pry deeper into it, as he felt its something he shouldn't touch upon. Though his curiosity has peaked but he tried his utmost best to resist it as he still doesn't know if it were really true and their loyalty to him is high.

"I understand. I am now about to give out the orders on what to do first. "

Ferdinand then gave the orders to establish a base for them to the engineer squad, and so they started in making a base. It also confused him as to where the walkers had gone. They were just here earlier, but when the destiny quest had been completed, they started walking away from him. It's as if they are avoiding him or, to be more precise, his location. Anyway, there's no point in thinking about it and so he has looked forward to making the base.

Ferdinand was admiring at how fast the squad was walking in just less than a few moments they have already gathered so much materials to use. Even though it's just made of wood, it's still better than nothing. Ammunition wise he could just buy the supplies at the shop, but he still need to build a munitions factory. Because in the later stages of this world, points are most likely not going to be enough if they had to fight walkers with guns.

Ferdinand once again took a breather from all the thinking he was doing. It's been like a few hours and the only thing he had done was thinking and thinking and so he must take a breather first. He walked around the surroundings and appreciated the beauty of nature. It helped him to take much off the load of his mind.

During those times, Ferdinand fell into deep thought and contemplation.

-----

The elegant woman uttered something that cannot be understood. Once the elegant lady finished what she was saying, the man's eyes turned dark and he can't see and once again shone in a blue light as it sent him into another world. The next moment, the man found himself kneeling in an unfamiliar world and clothes with unfamiliar weapons, which ultimately flabbergasted him. Fortunately, his mind was quick to adapt, and he realized that this is probably the world that he needs to save along with the person he had swore allegiance to.

The person who he looked at seems to be sturdy with proper chiseled face suitable for a leader. Though he was unfamiliar with the armaments and the clothes, he felt like that he had been wearing and using it for years. So he believes there would have virtually no problem with using it. He observed his clothes and supplies. He was very surprised to see that it was very intricate in design and was very elegant and filled with. prestige if one to look, at it you'd know and feel that it was someone who exerts authority.

Simpson was anxious about what type of person the person he unconditionally swore allegiance with, but he has faith in his decisions to do thing correctly, and he really didn't want to go back to eternal fire and burn for eternity. Just remembering the things he went through fills him with shivers down his spine. He doesn't want to remember it anymore, unfortunately the brain works in mysterious ways.

Soon after the general or what the elegant lady said, what he's supposed to be called a general, so he had faith that this general will have excellent knowledge of war and tactics, perhaps even revolutionary ideas. The general ordered the person leading the squad to step out and recite his name. Simpson unconsciously stepped forward and uttered his name, this sent shock waves throughout his body as he didn't know why he did it.

The general then explained on what kind of world there is on, looks like the general already suspects that his soldiers are real people. Though he was shocked to know that the world they are supposed to be saving is filled with so-called walkers that are half living and half dead, and the most preposterous of them all is that you have to disconnect the spinal cord from the brain and heart. What's a spinal cord, anyway? Even though Simpson doesn't know it, he feels familiar with it. It is supposed to be on the neck if his guess was correct, to be more precise at the middle of the neck.

Though there's no point in dwelling on it, his job is to do things and shoot, not research. So he will just leave those things to the future researchers.

After a few more moments, the general commanded the entire engineer squad to build a base. He also doesn't know why, but he seems familiar with the things that they were about to do, even though he had no experiences with doing stuff like those.

And so Simpson and his squad started building the first ever base of Ferdinand.

-----

Ferdinand was sitting on a fallen tree and was surprised when Simpson called out to him and told him that the base was finished.

'What the heck? A day hasn't even passed and they are already finished?' Ferdinand thought to himself.

When Ferdinand walked up to the front of the base, it shocked him to see how properly built the base is, even though it's only made of wood and is small to be considered a base. It is still passable as a base of operations. For the next few months, this will be the operating base of his soon to be organisation and in the future, a nation. He looked at his sides and there he saw the proud faces of his soldiers which boosted his morale of being sent here to this another world. Surely in the future it would be greatly beneficial for him...
