(Ravine POV)
Frida and I decided to skip school so she could help me keep my powers at bay. We decided that it would be good to get some fresh air and unwind somewhere nice, where there won't be any ruckus.
For that, we are currently in an empty park, lying down on the grass, just staring at the blue sky and cauliflower shaped clouds.
This is actually pretty neat. I emptied my mind and just meditated to the sounds of nature. There are birds chirping around and leaves rustling as the wind blows the trees as well as the soft noise of the water sprinkler. Everything is so calm and peaceful.
"Ravine, don't you think that your powers could somehow be an advantage?" She asked.
"How?" I asked.
"If there are bad guys for example, you could use it against them."
"I guess and please, stop talking. I want to enjoy the peaceful ambience of the park as much as I can."
I breathed in and breathed out and relaxed every inch of my body. I tried to forget everything that's on my mind. I removed any stressful thought from my head and just let my body be.
Relaxation is definitely the key to a longer patience and calmer mind. Hopefully, I won't be breaking any more stuff after this.
---
Frida and I decided to enjoy the rest of the day by going to a theme park and I honestly cannot remember a day wherein I had as much fun as I did right now.
Frida pulled me to a roller coaster named "The Shuttle". I agreed because I did not think it was going to be that bad and as soon as we passed the first hill, I basically thought that was the end of it.
"That's not so bad." I said to Frida.
"What's not so bad?" She asked and then it hit me, we are just getting started. I saw the steep hill and the loop that we are about to pass through and honestly, I feel like I was going to throw up.
The roller coaster started climbing up slowly and I bit my lip in a nervous fashion.
"Here we go." Frida said before the coaster drops from the very top making the passengers scream hysterically. I felt my heart drop and I personally don't enjoy these types of adrenaline. Other people do but I am not one of them.
We passed through the loop and people are waving their hands around, indulging the moment while I just find it to be a complete torture.
"That was fun." Frida said as soon as it was over.
"I hate you." I said as we got off.
---
"Go Ravine!" Frida cheered as I was given five darts for the booth we are playing at right now.
She adored the toy prizes, specifically the strawberry plush so she convinced me to play and win the game for her so she can take home that prize.
The goal of the game was to aim and throw five darts at five balloons. You must have five consecutive strikes for you to win a stuffed toy and it's quite of a challenge since the balloons are pasted on the board, quite far away from the players.
"You ready, sir?"
"Yes." I said.
I threw the first dart and it popped the first balloon I aimed for. The same thing happened for the second, third and fourth so I was really happy about that. For the last one, I kind of psyched myself out. I couldn't throw the dart because I was so afraid to see the result.
"Don't worry, Ravine. I still like you even if you don't get it."
Leaving it to chance, I just threw it and to my relief, it successfully popped the fifth balloon.
"Yay!!"
"Great job! Which one do you like?" The lady asked.
"Can I have the strawberry plush please?"
The lady handed me the cute stuffed toy and I gave it to Frida.
"Thanks Ravine. It's so adorable."
"Have you thought of a name yet?" I asked.
"I am going to call her Hayley."
"Hayley, the strawberry?"
"Yup. Hayley is a perfect name for a strawberry."
"Here, let me put her inside my bag. In that way, she'll be safe." I insisted.
We then decided to play at another booth when a group of guys catcalled Frida.
"Damn! Look at those legs."
"Fuck you!" Frida retorted and gave them the finger.
"Sweetie, learn to take a complement." One of them said and I glared at him. Next thing I know, he was pushed by an invisible force which sent him flying across some tables.
His accomplices gasped.
Frida stared at me and giggled. "Nice job." She whispered.
"Let's get out of here." I said to her before running away from them and exiting the theme park.
Frida and I laughed and goofed around for a bit.
"Did you see their faces? Their reactions are priceless." I said.
"I told you, your powers could somehow be an advantage. You get to teach some assholes a lesson."
We were crossing the street, and I was still laughing my head off that I didn't even realize that there was a car coming.
"Ravine, watch out!" Frida said as she pushed me out of the way, making the car hit her instead of me.
"Frida!!" I screamed.
The car didn't bother to stop. It just drove away and it's almost as if the accident was done on purpose.
I ran to an unconscious Frida and knelt beside her body. I took her in my arms and screamed for help out there.
"Frida!!! Somebody, help!!" I cried.
