White Dress Turn Into Red

Illaria was pensive after hearing Scarlett's question. "Mommy? I … I've never seen my mommy before."

Scarlett narrowed her eyes. "You never saw your mommy? Why?"

"Scarlett," Dante called Scarlett's name with a serious tone. His eyes looked sharp while his expression began to darken.

Although Dante didn't say anything, Scarlett could guess that the man was telling her to be quiet or he would sew up Scarlett's mouth.

Scarlett giggled. "All right. All right. I think Young Lady needs some rest for now."

Dante took Illaria in his arms, then hid his daughter's face from Scarlett.

[Did he think I was a virus? Therefore, he forbid me from seeing his daughter's face?]

Scarlett grumbled in her mind and kept swearing at Dante, who had dared to treat Scarlett like a pest.

"Donna, you must be tired. How about we go back now?" Silvano bowed his head before Scarlett, pretending to play the role of Daniel.

Scarlett clicked her tongue and gave a sharp gaze to Silvano. "Stop pretending. I'm sure everyone here already knows your real identity after you told Dante your real name."

The only strangers in the hall were Moretti and Russo. After Silvano told Dante his identity, Scarlett was sure that Dante would spread this to his subordinates sooner or later.

While Russo was just someone who was about to die soon, so Scarlett didn't care too much about him.

Silvano threw his best smile at Scarlett, secretly hoping he wouldn't get a scolding from Scarlett that day.

However, it seemed impossible.

"We'll talk a lot when we get home." Scarlett emphasized, "If I say a lot, it means a lot, Silvano. So, stop smiling stupidly and start reflecting on what you did."

Silvano lowered his smile and whispered, "Yes, ma'am."

Because it looked like Silvano will no longer have the opportunity to smile broadly.

Scarlett then turned to Cerano. "Cerano, bring that old man and his underlings to our residence. I also want to have a long chat with him."

"If I take him away, you won't mind, will you, Dante?" she asked.

Dante, "It's your toy, do as you like."

Scarlett giggled and felt ecstatic because Dante gave Russo voluntarily. "All right. If you want to play with him, you may also come to the Lombardi residence."

"The doors of the Lombardi residence will be wide open to you, darling," Scarlett said with a broad smile.

Dante sighed, trying not to be provoked while Ilaria was in his arms. In the end, Dante only said, "Is that so? Then, I'll see you every day."

Even though Dante didn't say it clearly, Scarlett understood that he was referring to their agreement to play in bed daily.

"Daddy, who is she? Why do you want to see her every day?" asked Illaria after hearing Dante's words.

Before Dante could explain, Scarlett brought her face close to Illaria's and waved her hand. "I am your new mommy."

"Mo … mommy?" Illaria gave Scarlett a confused look. "Illaria will have a mommy?"

Scarlett nodded and flashed her friendly smile. "Yes, you will have a mommy."

Scarlett actually didn't really like children, but she didn't hate them either. In a way, her attitude would be neutral when it comes to dealing with children.

"I hope I can properly replace your old mother."

However, it was better if she did not talk to the children.

Dante immediately pulled Illaria out of Scarlett's sight. "I think you should go home now. I'll see you later."

Dante's priority was Illaria, so he needed to make sure Illaria was completely fine before he took care of Russo and taught him a lesson.

Scarlett straightened her back and sighed. "Well, I'm a little bit tired anyway."

"Cerano, we're going home. Prepare a car for me," Scarlett ordered.

Cerano, "Yes, ma'am."

Cerano then ordered his men to take Russo away before he went to get a car for Scarlett.

Russo gritted his teeth as a man dragged him roughly. The man didn't even care about Russo's broken leg that Dante caused.

"Let me go! I'd rather die than have to deal with that snake!" shouted Russo.

Russo's hands that were behind his back kept twitching. The man who took him thought that Russo wanted to escape, but he did not expect that Russo would take the gun from the man's waist.

Bang!

Russo shot the man's chest, immediately causing him to fall to the floor.

The chaos had been too sudden and happened so quickly that their reactions had been sluggish.

Bang!

Russo pulled the trigger a second time. The gunpowder flew through the air, and the bullets flew swiftly.

"Oh," Scarlett lowered her head, looking at her white dress, which was stained with red. She touched her stomach, which felt sore and hot.

The red slowly replaced the white on her dress, looking like a red rose blooming among the white dandelions.

"Scarlett!"

"Donna!"

Everything was happening so fast. Vaguely, Scarlett could see her men immediately kicking Russo and taking the gun in his hand.

Silvano ran towards Scarlett, holding his sister's body which almost fell to the floor. Scarlett tried to catch her breath and maintain consciousness, but the pain in her stomach prevented Scarlett from thinking straight.

Dante handed Illaria over to Saro and told Saro to take his daughter away to a safer place. Then, the man knelt beside Scarlett. His hand pressed against the wound in her stomach so more blood wouldn't flow.

"Call the doctor!!" he shouted.

Dante took off his jacket and used it to cover Scarlett's wound. Scarlett's eyes slowly started to close, but Dante immediately patted her cheek and forced Scarlett to keep her eyes open.

"Hey! Hey! Don't close your eyes, and don't sleep until the doctor comes!" Dante shouted.

Scarlett grinned softly and whispered, "I know."

Silvano put Scarlett's head on his lap and kept looking at his sister's face with worry. Tears also slowly fell from Silvano's cheeks.

"Sister ... sister, you can't die so soon."

Scarlett raised her hand, then tried to wipe Silvano's tears away. "You are a man, so stop crying."

Silvano, "So what if I'm a man?! How can I not cry when I see you dying!"

"I'm not dying." Scarlett also pressed her own wound. "I can still live even though I was shot three times."

"Shut your mouth. Don't waste your energy talking nonsense," said Dante.

Scarlett then sets her sight on Dante. She saw that the man's expression looked slightly pale, and his pupils became unfocused.

"Dante, darling … are you worried about me?"

Dante grunted. "I said shut up!"

Scarlett wanted to reply to Dante's words, but her mouth felt sore. The energy in her body was drained, and she could no longer maintain her consciousness.

"Scarlet! Scarlett! Open your eyes!"

Before Scarlett closed her eyes, she whispered softly, "You look handsome when you're scared."
