Everything had been calm except for the scorching heat in the room. The metal that she had been lying on since last night was hot and burning her back. She knew witches were always burned to death but right now she couldn't imagine how they felt if this is what she was feeling right now.

Somehow she could sense or feel that something was wrong or was going to happen. It was a premonition to be specific.

Out of the blue, her father walked inside the basement in a hurry and whispered something to the doctor. The doctor's expression turned into that of panic as he started to gather his tools in haste.

He looked at her through the glass window and he could see fear ,but not fear for himself but for her. Her heartbeat picked up the pace in panic.

The doctor was pushed forward by Her father as they walked towards the door.

They couldn't just leave her there, would they? Her father would definitely come back.

"Hey! Father don't leave me please!" she shouted but he didn't appear again.

Tears formed in her eyes and streamed to the back of her temple.

"Please dad" she stopped when she heard someone coming down the stairs, it was the doctor. She sighed out in relief.

He fumbled with the keys and unlocked the room and came to her side.

"This is the only way I can help you , you have to get yourself out of here or else you'll die" he uncuffed her feet and untied her hands. In an attempt to follow him out she tried to lift her body but she couldn't.

"Please help me" she tried to plead the doctor but he just walked to the door and dissapeared from her sight in seconds.

Luckily she swung her feet to the floor but even after that she couldn't help herself again. She was weak , no food for a week just soup wasn't enough to support her.

Her muscles ached. She fell to the floor and and dragged herself out of the hot room and floor.

The wave of cool air awoke some of her senses like hearing properly. When she litsened carefully she heard , noise. Alot of noise like people were chanting something.

Was this the danger the doctor was talking about? What was really happening? The way her father left only meant they could be in some sort of trouble and they left as a family but left her.

Her heart broke due to sadness that started to overwhelm her.

It was a bit of a surprise since she didn't think that was the level of hatred in her own family, even her sisters? Were they so mean so as to leave her to die on her own.

"Find them and bring them , we need to burn them" she heard some men speak from the upper floor ,it would just take a minute to figure out where she was.

"If only I could find that little witch!" She heard her one and only bully, Douglas mutter from the room above.

Their footsteps were loud enough for her to hear one of them walk towards the stairs of the basement, she scrambled to stand but fell again.

She couldn't even protect herself and she was a witch. Maybe she had always been a human after all. Maybe they filled her head with lies that she was a witch but she wasn't.

But in contradiction, why would her father done all of this. There must have been a reason.

She dragged herself to a corner and kept silent immediately footsteps were heard on the stairs. A tall man who she recognized as a townsman walked in and assessed the room with his eyes.

She knew she could easily be seen but she had fixed herself at the dark corner properly and luckily he had no torch on him.

"Nothing here" he shouted and walked out of the room but then another pair of footsteps entered but this time with light.

"Did you check properly?"

"I did Doug" He walked in and checked again but sighed in defeat ,or so she thought.

Aella closed her her eyes in relief and sighed in relief... which was shortlived.

"Gotcha little witch!" she was startled to the core when she saw the flame right in front of her eyes and when it was moved aside it was the one and only Douglas, her bully.

"She's here!" he shouted.

Tears streamed down her face gradually as the devil before her smiled in victory.

"You thought you could hide, huh?" her eyes were set downcast. His devious smile only made her feel bad about herself.

What a witch she was.

More people joined in the party and glared at her.

"You little devil"

"Murderer and killer" some muttered.

"Now look at her trying to hide and look innocent, shame on you" Douglas continued. One man walked closer and squatted in front of her. He poked her cheek,

"You look very normal and gorgeously beautiful but," he was silent for a while before he continued" you KILLED MY BROTHER!"

He shouted loud enough for everyone to hear, the loud noise from a slap on her cheek made her stop thinking for a while. Her one ear wasn't working anymore she could already tell. More tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Take her out, she needs to pay for her actions" the man growled

Her head began to hurt from the impact. None of them had evidence against her but she was blamed. Her eyes forced closed when they started to pick her up.

She didn't see this coming but in a split second she felt herself in some kind of space or trance. Like the world had stopped in a second and someone's arms held her fragile body. Then she was in a new environment.

A forest.

For the first time cool air filled her nostrils.
