Chapter 267 : Spirit of Vengeance

"My kind, for the sake of mankind, please die," Jarvis said in a low voice.

With his right hand, he attempted to crush the heart of the machine and end it all. Despite Jarvis's powerful voice and movements, the embarrassing thing was that no matter how hard he tried, the heart of the machine remained motionless, not even deformed in the slightest.

Jarvis blinked, turned his back to the crowd, and exerted force with both hands at the same time, but the heart of the machine was still intact. He did not believe in evil, and he used lightning and high-temperature beams of light one after another, but the heart of machinery remained unscathed.

Thanos found this mechanical heart from the relics of a mechanical civilization. Its sturdiness is second only to Vibranium, and it has energy protection inside, so even Jarvis cannot destroy it.

"Jarvis, you can't destroy me, the last laugh is only mine," Ultron said with a proud smile. While Jarvis was distracted, he controlled the heart of the machine to slam into Jarvis, hoping to destroy the body of the Supremor.

Jarvis snorted coldly, grabbed Ultron again, and then opened his chest. The Anti-matter power furnace was running at full force, and he planned to use it to destroy the heart of machinery.

Ultron was frightened and shouted in shock: "Don't, idiot, if you do this, you will die yourself."

"I won't die, I will only be injured. Tony and they will fix me. Ultron, you are too dangerous and must be destroyed," Jarvis replied. He ignored Ultron's warning and proceeded with his plan.

At this moment, Doom said suddenly, "Let me study this thing." Steve and Jarvis turned their heads at the same time and asked, "King Doom, won't this be too dangerous?"

"Don't worry, I'm more dangerous than it is," Doom said. Jarvis and Steve secretly complained at the same time, thinking, "Finally, the boss appeared."

Steve said, "King Doom, it's not that I don't believe you, but I can't make this decision. I have to ask Bert."

"Okay, let's seal it first," Doom replied. He took out a space box that isolated the inside and outside to seal the Heart of the Machine. Then, he handed the box to Jarvis and asked him to keep it for the time being.

"Steve, come and see, this Hydra isn't dead yet," Carter shouted from below, covered in snake blood. Everyone hurriedly flew down and found that the Hydra was almost healed. Fortunately, it was unconscious and lay motionless on the ground.

"A perfect puppet," Doom exclaimed. "This Hydra can be transformed into a god-level puppet. Uh, I want the heart of machinery. This Hydra will be left to you, and it will become the patron saint of your S.W.O.R.D.."

"King Doom, this joke is not funny at all," Steve said speechlessly. Using Hydra as the patron saint for S.W.O.R.D. would be laughed at. It's not the Snake Shield after all.

Doom also reacted and couldn't help laughing a few times. He said, "You can figure it out for yourself. God-level puppets are not so easy to obtain. Now, the times are developing rapidly, and your S.W.O.R.D. needs a good puppet."

Steve spoke firmly, "Even so, we can't use Hydra. This matter is not negotiable."

Carter took this seriously since she had fought against HYDRA all her life, and finally found a HYDRA base to raid. Losing was not an option.

Furthermore, using Hydra technology would lead others to believe that S.W.O.R.D. had been infiltrated again.

Doom interjected, "It's up to you, but Hydra is very versatile. Whether you need technological or magical transformation, it can withstand it. If you require magical transformation, I can offer you a 50% discount."

"Okay, let's clean up this mess. It's time for this war to end," said Doom.

Steve nodded, "Jarvis, search the HYDRA base. I want all of Ultron's subroutines eliminated."

Jarvis promptly replied, "Leave it to me. I'll ensure everything related to Ultron is wiped clean."

"Alright, Carter, King Doom, let's take out the remaining HYDRA forces," said Steve.

Doom and Carter nodded in agreement.

...

In the underground space, Ivan heard the end of the battle and began to defuse the Anti-matter bomb.

Ant-Man was shivering beside him. "Isn't this the last day on Earth?" he muttered to himself.

...

In the suburbs of New York, in the Mirror Dimension, the more the mysterious mage fought with Strange, the more impressed he became. He realized that Strange's melee combat ability was on par with his own, and he almost got hit by him several times.

'He's only been in school for a few years,' thought the mysterious mage. He didn't want to waste any more time and quickly distanced himself from Strange. He controlled the space around them and hurled debris towards Strange.

Strange used the suspended cloak to dodge the debris and shouted, "Brother, retreat now while you still can!"

Strange recognized the mysterious mage's identity, and the mysterious mage snorted, "Retreat? I'm not wrong, so why should I retreat? Tell me, what secrets is the Sorcerer Supreme hiding, and how is she able to live for so long?"

"The Sorcerer Supreme does have secrets to hide, but what she is capable of, we may not be able to achieve," replied Strange. "Longevity is not a form of happiness. The Sorcerer Supreme has long desired to rid herself of the burden and be completely free."

"Ha! She's not that great. She is just a selfish villain who refuses to share the secret of longevity with us," sneered the mysterious mage.

The mysterious mage, Kaecilius, had become extreme for two reasons. Dormammu's consciousness had been interfering and affecting him, and he was jealous of Strange.

Although he was an older brother, the Ancient One and Blood God had not considered him for the position of the next Sorcerer, which they had given to Strange instead. He believed they thought he was incomparable to Strange.

"If the Sorcerer Supreme was power-hungry, she would already be the ruler of the world," retorted Strange. "Senior brother, your ideas are too extreme,"

"I'm not the one with extreme ideas, you're just too stupid. You were used and now you're helping count the money," snapped Kaecilius.

Kaecilius cast spells with both hands, and the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, with their peculiar markings, quickly tied towards Strange. "Since you're stubborn, I'll have to wake you up,"

Strange dodged the chains and cast spells with both hands. More than a dozen figures flew out of him and surrounded Kaecilius.

"The Images of Ikonn! This is impossible! This is high-level magic! How can you possibly master it?" Kaecilius shouted in disbelief. The Images of Ikonn was the unique spell of the Ancient One, which allowed the user to create several identical clones.

"This is a simplified form of Ikonn," replied Strange calmly.

More than a dozen clones of Strange released Cyttorak's crimson bands simultaneously, and Kaecilius couldn't escape as he was tied tightly.

"A simplified version of Ikonn's spell? You actually modified the magic and modified it successfully?" Kaecilius exclaimed with wide eyes, shocked by Strange's boldness and jealous of his talent.

Strange responded, "It's not difficult," which made Kaecilius almost bleed from his teeth. Though he was also a genius, his talent was far inferior to that of Strange, Doom, and others.

Strange and Doom were once-in-a-millennium geniuses, while Kaecilius was a genius that appeared every year, making no comparison.

This was evident from the outcome of the battle. Despite practicing magic for decades, Kaecilius couldn't defeat Strange, who had only been in the Kamar-Taj for two or three years.

"Strange, you won, but we're not done," said Kaecilius, taking a deep look at Strange. A black light appeared from his body, and he instantly disappeared from the mirrored space.

"What's this black light?" Strange frowned, feeling the extreme darkness emanating from the light.

This was the power of Dormammu. After being defeated, Kaecilius had completely surrendered to Dormammu, as he desired to live forever, erase his shame, and make Ancient One pay the price.

"Let's go back and solve this. However, there's no evidence. With Kaecilius's prestige, other mages won't believe me. We need the Blood God and Master Ancient One to come forward in this matter," said Strange, shaking his head. He lifted the spell, and the clone disappeared quickly. He then returned to the real world from the Mirror Dimension to find that the battle had escalated.

The devil worshippers were rushing to the delivery room desperately, while Tony and others were trying to intercept them. The ground was littered with corpses of the devil worshippers and the remains of unmanned battle armors.

Strange immediately joined the battle, holding a large amount of red light condensed in his hands, which he then slammed onto the ground, transforming it into red thunder that blasted towards the Demon God worshippers. The Bolts of Balthakk were so powerful that several demon worshippers were turned to ashes instantly.

"Damn, Kamar-Taj's mage is back," gritted Viper, controlling a large number of green snakes to attack Strange. She was not being selfless, as no other demon worshippers were a match for Strange.

Seeing Viper appear, Tony wanted to beat her, but he had no time as he was blocked by the Shadow of Veronica.

That's right, the Shadow of Veronica, a demon believer turned Veronica's shadow into a monster. It was not very strong but couldn't be killed no matter how hard he tried, which made Tony very upset.

Strange, however, was not afraid of Viper, and he condensed the space blade and blasted at her. Viper was irritated as Kamar-Taj's mages were not only brave and fierce but also skilled warriors.

"If you do this, what should the soldiers do?" Viper questioned as she slapped the ground with her hands full of green light. A green magic circle formed quickly, and a six-armed snake man emerged from the circle, wielding twelve scimitars to attack Strange.

Despite Strange's exceptional martial arts skills, he found himself blocked by twelve sharp knives. He secretly cursed and quickly cast spells.

The purpose of Kamar-Taj was to engage in hand-to-hand combat if possible, use spells if hand-to-hand combat failed, and if all else failed, open a space portal to escape.

At that moment, the Elder, who had been suppressing the Ghost Rider, suddenly burst into laughter: "Success! I have finally succeeded, ha ha ha!"

After laughing three times, the Elder fell to the ground and his body turned into a bright light that dissipated.

"We did it," said the other holy light warriors and reincarnated angels, smiling contentedly. They closed their eyes and their withered bodies were carried away by the wind.

"What does this mean? What did they succeed in doing?"

Everyone was perplexed and did not understand what had made the group of Holy Light Warriors so jubilant.

"Could it be that they purified the Ghost Rider? No, that wouldn't be enough to warrant such happiness. After all, their mission was to destroy the reincarnation of the Demon King."

Viper pondered for a moment, then shouted excitedly, "I know! They turned the Ghost Rider to their side. That's why they're so happy."

Hearing Viper's words, the Demon God believers were overjoyed. With the help of the Ghost Rider, they would be able to stabilize their position.

"What?! The Ghost Rider was turned against us?" Tony and the others were shocked.

Just then, the holy mountain that had been imprisoning the Ghost Rider disintegrated into a bright light. Damon, wearing the Sin Buster battle armor, appeared before everyone's eyes.

Everyone stared at the Sin Buster and the battle slowed down. Damon opened his battle armor and stepped out, looking thrilled.

Mindy asked anxiously, "Dad, you're not going to turn against us, are you? That would be so uncool."

"No one will ever turn against me again," Damon replied with a smile. Blue flames burst out from his body, and his head quickly transformed into a skull.

In the past, Damon had felt great pain during this transformation, as his flesh and blood were being burned away. But this time, his expression was calm, and he even seemed to be enjoying it.

"I hate guys who are cooler than me," Tony muttered. "Hey, wait, how can you transform in the sunlight?" he asked Damon.

"He has been purified and transformed into an Angel, so he is no longer afraid of the sun," Viper explained. "Ghost Rider, the Demon King is about to be reborn. Let's hurry up and deal with these superheroes together."

"Very well," Damon said, grinning at Viper before throwing a magic chain that burned with blue fire towards her.

Startled, Viper quickly transformed into a green mist to escape, but she was still ensnared by the chain's blue fire, screaming in the distance.

Damon wasted no time and continued to blast at Viper. Giving Damon a resentful look, Viper disappeared into the ground, vanishing from sight.

Seeing this, Damon waved the chains and attacked other Demon God believers, lighting them up like blue torches wherever the chains passed.

"It appears he is our own," Tony and the others exclaimed in delight, joining in the fight to defeat the Demon God believers.

While the believers avoided their attacks, they cursed at the same time, wondering why the Holy Light Warrior was not purifying Ghost Rider and, instead, helping him level up. Were these guys actually undercover agents who infiltrated their ranks?

As Strange and Damon joined the fray, the tide of the battle quickly turned in favor of the superheroes. The devotees and human death squads lost ground, leaving a large number of bodies on the ground.

"We have no way out. Let's give it our all," Viper shouted from the air, rallying the surviving Demon God believers to fight back using their unique abilities.

"Devil, we are no longer human. Grant us a noble identity," dozens of believers said, plunging a dagger with a strange magic pattern into their hearts. Their bodies quickly transformed into sheep-hoofed demons with scales and horns.

In short, these demon believers had given up their human identities and turned into demons. Under normal circumstances, demon gods would not agree to such a deal, but at that moment, they were desperate and would allow any believer to become a demon if they wished.

After turning into demons, the believers' strength increased significantly, and the demonic fire on their bodies quickly turned the surrounding area into a sea of flames.

"Damn bastards," Tony and the others cursed, bravely fighting against the demons.
