Chapter 320 : Alternate Thanos' Plan

The alternate world where the blonde Spider-Man lives, is Sanctuary II.

Thanos momentarily vanished and then reappeared. The five generals below were greatly relieved, and Ebony Maw asked, "Master, what just happened?"

"You definitely won't believe it when I tell you."

Thanos smiled, opened his hand, and the future Ant-Man fell from his palm.

Dizzy from the experience, future Ant-Man instinctively returned to his normal size. He then removed his helmet and was about to say something, but his expression suddenly changed when he saw Thanos' imposing face. "You!"

"You know me? Interesting."

Thanos said, "Tell me everything you know, including the device that transports people to other worlds."

Thanos' eyes gleamed with anticipation, as mastering this device would allow him to travel through parallel worlds.

"What parallel world? Why can't I comprehend it?"

Future Ant-Man smiled and pressed the button on his hand — he would rather be lost in the quantum world than have his memories acquired by Thanos.

If Thanos were to acquire his memories, the events of "Avengers 4" would unfold in mere minutes — Thanos versus the Avengers.

Just as future Ant-Man was about to press the button, his body suddenly froze uncontrollably.

Soon after, the cloaked Supergiant stepped forward and stated, "Master, he intends to enter the quantum world."

Thanos responded, "Well done. Extract all his memories and give them to me."

Supergiant smiled and said, "It's an easy task."

Several hours later, Thanos, having obtained the future Ant-Man's memories, scolded, "What a bunch of bugs! They clearly lost, yet they refuse to accept defeat and continue to struggle!

Furthermore, why don't these people know how to show gratitude? I eliminated half of the population for the sake of universal balance."

Observing Thanos' anger, the five generals bowed their heads in unison. Frankly, they were deeply shocked. They hadn't expected Thanos to truly succeed in the parallel world.

"They must be stopped."

Thanos paced back and forth, saying, "No, don't stop them just yet."

Everyone was stunned. How could Thanos utter such contradictory words?

Thoughtfully, Supergiant asked, "Master, do you mean we should let them collect the Infinity Stones but prevent them from snapping their fingers?"

"Yes, collecting the Infinity Stones in this universe is much more difficult than in their universe. Let them gather the stones for me, and then, before they can snap their fingers, I'll seize the Infinity Stones."

Thanos exclaimed excitedly, "At that moment, I can snap my fingers to obliterate that universe, and then return to our universe, snap my fingers again to restore balance by eradicating half of all life."

As he spoke, Thanos grew increasingly uncontrollable with excitement. He raised his hand, snapped his fingers, and intoxicatedly proclaimed, "I am... Destiny!"

Supergiant was about to say something when Thanos repeated his previous actions, shouting loudly, "I am... Destiny!"

Everyone was left speechless. Thanos was on a different level.

Indeed, Thanos stood at the pinnacle, thrilled that his long-awaited dreams were finally within reach, and not just for one universe, but countless universes.

Supergiant inquired, "Master, how do we reach that universe? This Ant-Man doesn't know how to build a super collider."

"No worries, we'll wait for someone from that universe to arrive."

Thanos declared, "Supergiant, you will attach yourself to the future Ant-Man. When they come, establish a truce with them. Then, we shall join forces to annihilate that universe."

Eyes gleaming with anticipation, everyone agreed that this was a sound strategy. Supergiant nodded first and offered a reminder, "Master, according to Ant-Man's memories, there is a formidable guardian known as the Blood God."

"He may be strong, but so am I. Besides, the Blood God is lazy and indifferent. We can seize the Infinity Gauntlet before he takes action. Regardless of his strength, it will be a mere snap of our fingers."

Confidently, Thanos asserted this based on future Ant-Man's lack of knowledge regarding Bert's capabilities, which influenced his perception.

Thanos commanded, "Prepare yourselves, destiny is approaching. And by the way, find a way to replicate the Pym particles from that individual. They are incredibly useful."

All present nodded in unison. "Yes, great master!"

...

Time flew by, and a month had passed. The headquarters and underground base of the Life Foundation had been completely taken over by S.W.O.R.D.

"Mr. Tony, is the super collider still not repaired? If I don't go back, my parents and uncle will go crazy," pleaded Miles, the young Spider-Man, dressed in hip-hop attire and sporting a headset.

Tony replied helplessly, "Come on, come on. If you don't rush me, it will be done faster."

"You said the same thing last time."

Miles secretly pouted, and at that moment, the middle-aged Spider-Man called out, "Miles, it's training time. Hurry up."

Miles had recently become Spider-Man and still struggled to control his abilities. Upon witnessing this, the other Spider-Men rushed to his aid, offering their guidance. However, with so many individuals training simultaneously, conflicts nearly erupted. Ultimately, they decided to assign each Spider-Man a day to teach Miles individually.

Miles, as Spider-Man, possessed tremendous power. Not only did he possess the abilities of the other Spider-Men, but he could also discharge electricity and turn invisible. While he could easily employ these abilities under control, he found himself unable to

Observing that today's instructor was a middle-aged Spider-Man, Miles couldn't help but sigh. That guy wasn't just lazy and far from teacher-like, but more importantly, he was extremely rude. He had been beaten by both the blonde Spider-Man and Peter before, how humiliating it had been.

Noticing Miles's sigh, the middle-aged Spider-Man became furious. "You think I want to teach you? Aren't you trapped here with nothing to do? The superheroes in this world are real jerks, refusing to let us leave."

"It's understandable. With so many Spider-Men together, it's bound to attract attention."

Miles jumped forward, only to thud onto the ground due to his improperly fastened shoelaces.

The middle-aged Spider-Man snapped angrily, "How many times have I told you to tie your shoelaces? Besides, Spider-Man doesn't usually wear shoes."

"I know, I know."

Miles clumsily got back up, and the blonde Spider-Man, who was repairing the ceiling above, turned his head and said, "Hang in there, Miles. Once the super collider is fixed, Tony and the others will send us back home right away."

"Sooner is better. Our world can't be without Spider-Man."

Some Spider-Men shouted in agreement — most of the Spider-Men were providing assistance, able to hang from the ceiling, which proved quite useful.

"Shut up and focus on your work. If it weren't for the Blood God's orders, I would've gladly silenced you chattering fools."

Doctor Octopus scolded. What could be more terrifying than a chatterbox? A group of talkative individuals.

To be honest, if it weren't for her mental fortitude, the female Doctor Octopus would have gone insane. It was inevitable since there were so many Spider-Men. That's why fewer people were coming here gradually.

A group of Spider-Men suffocating, a group of suffocated Spider-Men seeking someone to talk to, it's chilling just to think about it.

"Who brought us here? How dare you complain?"

Spider-Gwen voiced her frustration, and even Spider-Man scolded, "Why should we take orders from a female villain? What's the deal with that?"

The Spider-Men nodded in agreement, and the female Doctor Octopus sneered, "Because the old lady here has undergone a makeover, don't you see? I am now a scientist at the Oscorp. In the future, I'll make a fortune, live in a luxurious house, drive a fancy car, and have a handsome guy by my side. While the street Spider-Men are stuck delivering pizzas."

By the way, Peter, what about the pizza I ordered? It's just a minute away. If you don't deliver it, believe me, I'll give you a bad review and ruin your day."

"Ms. Octavius, please don't give me a bad review. I was just out catching a thief. I'll be there soon."

Peter hurriedly responded. He hadn't returned to New York; he was a hero in San Francisco and made some extra money by delivering pizzas.

The female Doctor Octopus scolded arrogantly, "Such a work attitude today is unacceptable. No wonder all you Spider-Men are poor losers."

A group of Spider-Men gritted their teeth. So what if they were poor? They didn't appreciate her provocation.

Not all Spider-Men were poor, but it was understandable that at least 90% of them were. Spider-Man didn't come from affluent families, had no inheritance, and spent his days saving people on the streets without much time for work. How could they not be poor under those circumstances?

More importantly, Spider-Man had a strong moral compass and never used his superpowers for personal gain.

Miles blinked, wondering if he would become a poor loser in the future. It seemed like being a Spider-Man didn't come with financial rewards.

"Damn, did we win or did she win? Why do we feel more like losers?"

The middle-aged Spider-Man couldn't help but complain. The other Spider-Men felt the same way. How did the defeated female Doctor Octopus end up becoming their boss and sounding like she was reaching the peak of her life?

"Because you're a bunch of losers. Stop talking nonsense and work quickly. I've made some adjustments to ensure a perfect return to your original world."

Doctor Octopus cursed. She was arrogant because she knew the Blood God wouldn't easily let go of her super genius puppet.

With the protection of the Blood God, her new and beautiful life had just begun. Compared to the Blood God, Kingpin was nothing.

The Spider-Men angrily cursed and went back to work diligently. Tony secretly sighed when he witnessed this. Regardless of the world they were in, Spider-Men were all driven by kindness. If it were someone else, they would have rushed to confront Doctor Octopus and give her a taste of her own medicine.

"Miles, your training today is to hang from the ceiling without falling for an hour."

The middle-aged Spider-Man lazily ate fried chicken and drank Coke. Tony rolled his eyes. This Spider-Man was the epitome of laziness.

"The pizza is here."

Three minutes later, Peter rushed in with the pizza, only to receive a bad review from the female Doctor Octopus. Peter's spirit plummeted. It seemed like today was just not his day.

...

At S.W.O.R.D. headquarters, Bert brought Eddie's ex-girlfriend, Anne Weying, into the research base. Anne asked in surprise, "Mr. Wang, am I allowed to enter a place like this?"

"I brought you here, so of course you can enter. Our Oscorp is the main sponsor of S.W.O.R.D.," Bert smiled and reassured her. "You're interested in superheroes, so I thought I'd bring you here to open your eyes. Don't worry, we won't be involved in anything too confidential. Oh, and stay by my side at all times, or you might get arrested."

"I understand. Thank you, Mr. Wang."

Anne nodded excitedly. She had been curious about S.W.O.R.D. for a long time.

As she thought about it, Anne glanced at Bert. According to the information she found, Mr. Wang was the chairman of Oscorp and also owned a large Hollywood film company. Many models and female stars wanted to have a fling with him. Additionally, like Tony Stark before him, he seemed to be more diligent in changing women than changing clothes, but he was more low-key, with no news in any newspaper or magazine.

"Could he be interested in me? And am I interested in him?" Anne wondered to herself. She couldn't deny that Bert's wealth alone was attractive, not to mention his own appearance and demeanor. She didn't mind spending a night with him, especially since she didn't have a boyfriend at the moment. Everyone could be happy together.

"Last month, an alien force called the symbiotes attempted to invade Earth," Bert explained as they reached the entrance of a laboratory. "Their evil plan was ultimately foiled by S.W.O.R.D., which also captured a large number of symbiotes."

"An alien invasion? Why haven't there been any reports?" Anne looked inside the laboratory through the glass with surprise. She noticed numerous jars containing a strange liquid with struggling organisms inside. It was an unsettling and disgusting sight.

"Are these aliens? How do they fight?" Anne asked, filled with both disgust and curiosity.

"Symbiotes, as the name suggests, need to bond with humans in order to fight," Bert replied, motioning for Anne to follow. He then pointed to the peculiar suits in the second laboratory and explained, "These are special battle suits made from symbiotes. They greatly enhance the user's strength, but the burden is too great for prolonged combat."

Anne was taken aback. "Wearing aliens as battle suits? Isn't that incredibly dangerous?"

"No, it's not dangerous at all. The symbiotes' consciousness has been erased. Besides being wearable, they can also merge with the user," Bert smiled. "Compared to just wearing them, the fusion is not only several times stronger, but also has self-healing abilities. However, the compatibility between the symbiote and the host needs to be high."

"This research at S.W.O.R.D. truly opens my eyes," Anne couldn't help but sigh. She then noticed the hideous model of Venom in front of her and asked in surprise, "Mr. Wang, what is that?"

"That's Venom. After merging with the symbiote, it takes on that appearance. But it can revert to its original form, sort of like a transformation," Bert explained.

Anne made a disgusted expression. "I have to say, it's incredibly ugly, isn't it?"

Bert smiled and asked, "It may be a little ugly, but the symbiote fusion can turn someone into a superhero. Are you interested?"

Anne hesitated for a moment. She looked at the Venom model, shivered, and shook her head. "I can't accept it. It's too ugly. Its appearance would give me nightmares."

"The appearance can be modified. That's not a problem," Bert assured her. He then waved his hand and said, "Come with me. I have something interesting to show you."

Anne followed and found herself in a nursing room. A man in white lay on the bed, surrounded by various instruments.

"Eddie?"

Seeing the figure that resembled Eddie, Anne was stunned. Why was Eddie here? And why did Mr. Wang bring her to see him?

Bert didn't explain to Anne. He opened the door and walked in, saying, "Eddie, we meet again."
