He has changed

Xavier glanced briefly at Aurora before throwing Leo across the cave. Leo's back connected with the half cold wall and She grimaced as she heard the sound of his bone crack but he was laughing with a creepy smile on his face.

"Good to see you too. Glad to see you haven't stopped throwing people around" Leo uttered as he stood up from the ground.

"Why are you here and what do you think you're doing?" Xavier questioned as he crossed his arms while standing in front of Aurora.

"Well what does it look like I'm doing? I'm finishing off for you since you can't seem to do it by yourself and with the way you're standing protectively in front of her, It seems I should have come earlier" Xavier rolled his eyes.

"Go, you're not needed here. I've got everything under control" Leo scoffed.

"Really? It's been eighteen damned years and I can still see the stake sticking out of your side and that wolf over there is still living off of you so enlighten me on how you have got this under control, Xavier" Xavier glared at him.

"I never gave you the authority to question me, Leo. When I say something, I mean it or have you forgotten?" Leo scoffed then a smirk appeared on his weak.

"I almost forgot you are the great all powerful demigod with how weak that throw was. If you were with all your powers, I would have been in a coma right now" Xavier tilted his head.

"Do you want to test your theory? Let's see if you'd wake up from your coma" Leo laughed.

"Well at least you still talk the same. That's the only thing that hasn't changed" Xavier rolled his eyes then turned towards Aurora and began walking towards her.

"How are you here? I didn't summon you" She murmured and the corner of his lip tilted upward slightly.

"I told you, all you have to do is think of me and I'll be there" He murmured as he untied her. As soon as she was free, she jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly.

"I was so scared" She whispered with a shaky voice and his heart suddenly felt heavy. What did that mean? Why did he feel certain ways with her?

Before he could think, she was suddenly snatched away from him. She let out a scream as Leo grabbed her by the neck and before Xavier could stop him, he vanished out of the cave with Aurora.

"Damnit," Xavier muttered then went after them.

"Let go of me, you're hurting me" Aurora screamed as she flailed around in his hold but Leo's mind was clouded. Why did Xavier seem so gentle just now? It made him shudder.

"Just what have you done to him?" He muttered as he turned to her with his dark depthless eyes.

"Please just let me go, I can't… I can't breathe" She was reaching her limit and her heart was aching so badly.

Leo furrowed his eyebrows when he noticed how pale her face had gotten but before he could think, the sky rumbled and immediately turned dark.

The minute he was distracted, Xavier grabbed Aurora and threw her on his back.

"Hold on tight, okay?" He murmured and she nodded before wrapping her legs around his torso and around his shoulders. They were so far up in the sky that she felt like she would puke If they went any higher.

"Stop this, Leo," Xavier uttered.

"Can't you see what she's doing to you? You have changed!" Xavier groaned and with the speed of light, he appeared in front of Leo and grabbed him by the neck.

"If I hear one more word about how I have changed, I'm going to make it rain with your blood first" Xavier muttered then pulled back his fist and Leo's and Aurora's eyes widened as The lightning in the sky gathered around Xavier's fist. Was he going to lunch Leo with that?

"You… you're going to kill him!" Aurora screamed from behind with her eyes wide while Xavier was still gathering the lightning. Leo seemed frozen and couldn't get himself out of Xavier's hold.

"You're too nice for your own good, Aurora" That was what Xavier said before he punched Leo in the face sending him flying down back to the earth.

Aurora gasped as the sky rumbled louder and the ground shook so hard when Leo's body connected with it. It was so hard that they felt it even with how far up they were in the sky.

"Xavier… did you… did you kill him?" She questioned as soon as they appeared back on the ground.

"He tried to kill you so you shouldn't be worrying if he's dead or not" Xavier muttered as she climbed off his back. He didn't turn to her as he kept looking up ahead to see if Leo was coming for her again.

Leo was right, because of this stake, the punch wasn't as hard as it used to be and won't be able to keep Leo down for long. He needed to get Aurora somewhere safe.

Suddenly, he heard a body slumped down behind him and when he turned around, he found Aurora's body on the ground. She was so pale that she actually looked like she was dead.

"Aurora" He called out as he squatted in front of her.

"Don't worry, I just need to rest" She managed to say but with a lot of difficulty. Something wasn't right.

"Didn't you drink my blood today? Why do you look so pale?" He questioned and she smiled softly.

"I don't drink your blood anymore. I don't want to be a burden so I'm gathering them up to give you back" He stared at her in shock then it suddenly turned to anger.

"Are you trying to kill yourself?! You need that to survive!" His voice was so loud that he felt everyone could hear him but that didn't concern him at the moment. What was she thinking?

"If dying means I can lift up the burden I have placed on you then I'll do anything. Don't worry about me"

"Stop fucking saying that. Have I ever called you a burden?!" He questioned and for the first time, he felt genuine fear… fear of losing her?

He pulled up his sleeve then bit his wrist before placing the blood against her lips.

"Take this, now" But she stubbornly tightened her lips then shook her head. He glared at her then brought his lips, sucked it before leaning down and placing his lips on hers…
