CHAPTER 8.

QUINN'S POV:

Rissa kept rambling about whatever chemistry was brewing between her and Jace. I mean if he makes her happy then she has my blessings. Not that she needs them.

I'm aware of my terrible luck.

I got to my locker and pulled out a few books, ignoring the students staring and pointing at me.

Ever since it had been announced over the world that I'm Xavier's fiance everyone at school stared and pointed at me all the time.

Surprisingly a few people approached me trying to get me to appeal to Xavier for job opportunities for them.

I would mostly say okay and then forget about it. I was too busy plotting schemes to remember.

"Time for our favourite class of the day. PE!!" Rissa hollered and I smiled.

We changed into the school provided shorts and T shirt before going into the gymnasium.

"How crazy would it be if Jace or Xavier were here right now?" She snickered. I shrugged.

I could care less.

"Alright Boys and girls! We're going to be doing partner yoga poses! Pair up. A boy with a girl." Coach Sam yelled out.

Everyone moved to pair with other girls, some idiot was bold enough to even take Rissa away from me.

I rolled my eyes as most Boys avoided being paired with me. They had nothing to be scared of. Everyone got paired and I was left standing alone.

"Uhhh Ms. Andrews? Seems like you're going solo." Coach Sam said. I huffed in annoyance.

The doors were thrown open and a boy rushed in. We all stared as he looked at everyone.

"Uh Hi. Sorry if I'm late. I just transferred. I'm Adrian." He introduced as girls openly stared. He just got on my hot list because he was a looker. He had dusty blonde hair and bright green eyes. Around 6'1 too. Xavier was taller and much more good looking.

I froze. No. I just compared them!

"Alright. Welcome. You can pair up with her." Coach nodded in my direction as Adrian turned to me with a brilliant smile that was too hard not to return one.

"Hey. I'm Quinn." I introduced as he shook my hand. "Adrian. You have a beautiful name." He complimented and I blushed slightly.

"Thanks. You're Italian?" I asked as I unfolded our yoga mat.

"Yeah. How'd you notice?" He chuckled and I smirked.

"Your name kinda gave it away." I teased and he laughed.

We were given our first three poses and everyone passed without too much tussle.

"Okay. We're going to do the airplane!"

I turned to Adrian. "Don't you dare drop me" I warned. He only smiled before getting into position.

I took my form, only it didn't last a second before we came toppling to the ground. I groaned at the slight pain in my shoulder.

"Fuck! That hurt." I mumbled.

Adrian hovered above me giving me a once over.

"Everything intact?"

I lifted a thumb up.

Everyone had stopped what they were doing to watch. Seriously? Were we the only ones who didn't get it right or is it just me?

For the second time today, the doors were thrown open. A few gasps were heard as Xavier marched in and towards us.

What was he doing in my school?!

"Um Adrian? You might wanna back away now." I whispered and he did. Xavier glared angrily at him.

"What Happened to her?!" He demanded and I rolled my eyes.

"Um we were doing partner yoga and she fell." Adrian said.

"She fell only because you let her!"

I sat up and took his hand in mine. "Xavier? Calm the fuck down." I hissed and he frowned deeply.

He clearly wasn't happy but neither was I. The drama was already enough in school he just had to show up and add to it.

"Let's go." He ordered.

"Mr Sterling the class isn't over!" Coach Sam yelled and Xavier turned to him.

"And who the hell are you?"Coach Sam visibly swallowed.

"I'm----"

Xavier cut him off before he could speak.

"I don't care I'm taking my wife home." He said and I groaned out loud. He did not just call me that in front of all my friends.

Adrian seemed shocked as his eyes finally drifted to the giant stone on my hand. I thought it was noticeable enough.

Xavier wrapped a hand around my waist hoisting me into his arms.

"I don't want to go! I have a maths test today!" I protested but he ignored me and headed for the door.

"Marissa Throne!" I screamed and she ran after us. She closed the gym doors with a sheepish smile at every one before catching up to us.

"You are one drama queen." She teased and I rolled my eyes.

"Your full name is Marissa?" Xavier asked as Rissa nodded.

"Huh. So Jace was right." He mumbled but we caught it.

"Can you put me down now? The show is over." I said and he pouted.

"That wasn't a show. When Nico called saying you were on the verge of breaking bones, I drove here as fast as I could." I blinked with my jaw dropped.

"Nico is here?! You put your goddamn man on me at school?!" I snapped and he set me back on my feet.

"It's for your safety. I promise."

I scoffed. "Nico exaggerated. Quinn was perfectly fine with Adrian." Rissa chipped in as we got to the parking lot where his Silver Lamborghini was parked.

"Stay away from that Adrian kid my love. It's for the best. I don't want scandals saying my teenage wife is a cheater." He got into the car and I crossed my arms in annoyance.

"You don't get to tell me what to do." I countered and he all but chuckled.

"You'd be surprised."
