CHAPTER 10.

QUINN'S POV:

I had skipped school today along with Rissa and we both stayed in my house. We lazed around in my room watching movies and stuffing our faces with anything we could eat.

"What the deal with you and Jace?" I asked as Rissa rolled her eyes. "Nothing. We're not even friends. we're just two people who know each other." She said and I smirked.

"Two people who has kissed?" She looked up at me immediately and narrowed her eyes. I only laughed.

"You think I wouldn't find out? Jace practically came to me and was whining about how you're ignoring him because he kissed you. it was funny." I said and she sighed.

"I'm telling you girl, That happened by mistake. and I was going to tell you." I shrugged.

"Where's Nico? Haven't seen him today." Rissa said ripping opening a packet of Oreos. "He said Xavier needed his help at work. He'll be back soon." I informed.

"Mkay. So does this make you like those rich CEO wives in books we read?" She teased and I laughed.

My mother knocked on my open door before walking in. "Hey girls! There's someone I want you to meet, Quinn." She said and I stood up along with Rissa.

"Who do you think it might be?" I whispered to Rissa as we left my room.

"Maybe it's Xavier." I shook my head.

"If it was him, he'd come straight to my room. He's done it before so of course he would do it again." I scoffed and she laughed.

"Your relationship with him sounds fun."

Her definition of fun and my definition of fun were two different things.

In our living room, A woman sat with two identical kids. She smiled up at me once she noticed me. "Quinn, This is Mrs Sterling."

I stared in shock. This was Xavier's mother?

"Hi. It's finally nice to meet you." I said. At the engagement party we didn't meet because she had left due to an emergency. I thought it was because she hated my guts and didn't want to talk.

"You're such a beautiful child. You can call me Rosie." She said pulling me into a kind embrace.

"This is Rissa. My other daughter." Mum said with a slight chuckle as Rissa waved with a huge smile.

"Nice to meet you. These two here are Lucas and Lily. My twins." She said as the kids waved.

"Well, it's very nice to have you here." I said politely. "Rosie? Why don't you give me a hand in the kitchen. I was baking a cake."

"Cake?!!" Lucas and Lily chorused together as I laughed. That was cool.

"Yes darlings. Once I'm done you can have it all." Mum said as they smiled at her.

The mothers left to the kitchen leaving us alone with the kids.

We sat down opposite them as we all stared at each other.

"Which one is the bride?" Lucas asked and I blinked glancing at Rissa.

"Take a guess." Ris said.

"Well, it obviously isn't you since you asked we guess so it's Quinn!" Lily announced with a proud smile.

"How old are you two?" I asked. "Thirteen." They chorused.

"I'm older." Lucas said and Lily frowned at him.

"By a second, dummy." She grumbled.

"Any other siblings?"

They both shook their head.

"We already have Xavy. We don't want another." She whispered the last part causing us to smile in amusement. Adorable kids.

Now it made me wonder if Xavier and I would have to have kids. I didn't even want my thoughts to wander that far.

I knew I signed a contract but I didn't exactly read it all due to my bout of anger at the moment.

"Does Xavier live with you?" Rissa asked. This was our moment to dig up some dirt about him.

"Nope. Mum chased him out because of all the girls he kept bringing back." I felt my jealousy flare.

Wait. Jealousy?

"He lives in his own mansion not too far from ours." Lucas said.

"When's his birthday?" Rissa asked again. Even I didn't know that one.

"March 20th."

"Weird. Quinn's is on the 19th." Rissa laughed. Lily gasped in shock. "Really?! Then if you have a baby they can be born on the 18th or 21st! That way all the family members are Marchies!" She squealed and I chuckled.

She was imagining too far.

We talked for a few more hours till the cake was finally done.

"Alright kids! Come on!" Rosie called out taking the cake to the huge dining table.

I smiled as I saw what was written on it.

'To Quavier'

"That's an awesome ship name." Rissa said impressed.

Rosie smirked proudly.

"I came up with it." She said as everyone smiled.

The cake was cut and shared.

I could only hope this marriage would be as sweet and tasty as this cake. If not, it'll be a disaster.
