What's Wrong With My Son?!

"No, don't you dare say that your fine! This is all that Cordelia's fault! I am tired of that vile woman using you as a purse, I have had Enough!"

"Cordelia? Mom, what are you talking about? I don't know anyone named Cordelia. Who are you talking about?" I questioned with a confused look on my face.

Everyone in the room froze over in shock. Only Arthur sat there with a composed look on his face.

"Arthur! What's wrong with him?! Daniel! Go get a doctor!" My mother screamed, with a terrified look on her face. Daniel walked back with the glass of water and put it down on the table next to my bed. He started running over to the door before my mother started yelling again.

"There is no need to call the doctors, Mrs. Myers, David is alright. Daniel come back inside and sit down." Arthur said, his face features as cool as a cucumber.

"Why? What's wrong with him?! He isn't dying, is he?!" My mother asked, looking even more terrified.

"No Mom, I'm fi-" I started to speak, this time getting cut off by my father.

"Shush, You! Arthur, what is wrong with him?" My father said gripping my hand tightly as he sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Mr. Myers, David is perfectly fine. But, a few days ago after the accident, the doctors found that his head had suffered a lot of pressure during the crash, and he lost almost all of last year." Arthur said, picking up the glass of water from my side and drinking from it. "He might be suffering from a slight case of amnesia, but other than that, he is perfectly fine."

My parents sat there for a few minutes in thought, then my mother tightly hugged me.

"Oh thank goodness you are fine!" she said hugging me close, then turning to Arthur, she said, "Arthur, this won't hurt his mental health will it?"

"Not at all, Mrs. Myers. He will be better in a few hours." he said, taking out his phone and turning it back on.

"Wait, Didn't David and Cordelia meet a year ago?" Daniel asked, his eyes perked up in curiosity.

"They met exactly eleven months back." Arthur answered, nodding his head while still keeping his eyes focused on the screen in his hands.

"So, that means that he forgot her too?" he said a grin blooming up on his face.

"Yes, he has forgotten everything about her and the past year." Arthur nodded again.

"Yes! Now I don't have to see that face full of makeup anymore!" Daniel shouted in glee.

"Don't get your hopes up, Daniel. The doctors said that there is a way to help him get his memories back. It can be done in under an hour, all that's needed is the signature of permission from his parents and we can get it done." Arthur said, looking at Daniel, who had started jumping in joy, with visible annoyance.

[Why am I getting an odd vibe that he's been planning this for a long time.] I thought looking at Arthur curiously. Could he also have been waiting for my breakup with Cordelia? Wow, way to go man.

"No!" my parents shouted in unison.

"I-i mean, it could be bad for his mental health. He is still quite unwell, we shouldn't." My mother said, her voice getting softer with each word.

"Exactly! We'll wait till he feels better, then we'll think about it." My father said with a weak voice.

"Of course, well, anyways, the doctor said that David can be discharged immediately once he wakes up." Arthur said, giving me a little wink to play along.

"I do feel quite better, I think I can go home." I said with an exhausted look on my face.

"Okay dear, I'll get a car ready for you." My mother said, her voice laced with concern.

"No need, Mrs. Myers, I'll drive him home, don't worry." Arthur said, standing up and walking her over to the door with a sweet smile on his face.

"Thank you, Arthur. Please make sure that he gets home safely." she said, giving him a quick hug and walking out with my father in tow.

Daniel came up to me and hugged me, "Get well soon elder brother, I don't wanna become the CEO, so please get better."

"Hmm, like I'll let you take my place. Take care." I said as Daniel walked out the door and Arthur closed it behind him.
