Be Nicer

Ivy smiles at the OB as she comes in to check on them, "Hello Averys. Are we ready to see baby #3? Oh, I see we have babies 1 and 2 with us."

"Yeah, they wanted to see their little sibling," Jackson tells her, bouncing one twin on each knee.

"And day care doesn't open for another half hour," Ivy deadpanns, smiling at Dr. Ryan.

"Ah, I see. Well, let's take a look, shall we?" She puts her gloves on and squirts some gel onto Ivys stomach.

Dr. Ryan moves the ultrasound around, "Alright, looks like baby is doing just fine. Look, Christopher, Alexus. That is your baby sister right there."

Jackson smiles, "So it is a girl. The intern didn't mess that up."

She shakes her head, "No, they didn't. I still talked to them and they're sorry that they spilt the beans early. Anyhow, your daughter is doing great, your doing great. I see no problems in the future."

"And the pain-"

"-Jackson we don't have to do this-"

"-You said they were normal with the twins. That it's because of the growing and stretching of her stomach, right?" Jackson ignores her, asking.

Dr. Ryan nods, "Yes. It is completely normal for expecting mothers to feel some discomfort around their stomach with previous scarring. There is nothing to worry about unless the pain is to the point where it impairs daily activity."

He let's out a breath, "Okay, okay. I just want to make sure. I don't want anything to happen to either of them."

She smiles, "Thats okay, Dr. Avery. I'm here to calm your concerns. Now, how many copies do we want?"

Christopher shouts, "Three!"

"He's been on this kick of shouting out how old he is. Uh, let's do, 10. Everyone will probably want one but we have to start with the basics: your mom, us, Amelia and Meredith, April-" Ivy starts on a tangent.

"Lets do 15 to play it safe. Thank you, Dr. Ryan," Jackson cuts his wife off.

Meredith sees Ivy at the daycare as they drop off their kids, "Owen sold the trailer."

Ivy looks at her, "What trailer?"

"Derek's trailer. The one he lived in when he first moved to Seattle. Didn't we tell you about it?" Meredith asks.

"Mer, you and Derek were married when I first met you. He was living in the house with you, so no, I never went to the trailer. But, is it a problem that Owen sold it?" Ivy reminds her sister in law.

"No, no, I just- I don't know. It was suprising," Meredith sighs.

"It was another thing of him gone. One that you didn't recognize as him but now that it's gone, it's like another part of him is gone. I understand. Just, take a deep breath and I'm sure everything will be fine," Ivy tells her, meeting Warren and Bailey outside the elevator.

They get on and see Webber and Jackson there. Standing next to Jackson, Ivy watches as Webber tells the group, "Catherine's back in town next week. Thought it'd be nice to have some people over. Well, nothing fancy- just a dinner. You can bring the kids, I'm sure Catherine would love to see them. Who's in?"

Ivy smiles before responding, "Jackson, the kids and I are in."

Webber nods, "Yes. The Averys said yes. How about you?"

"I'll be there. I'm not sure about Dr. Warren's schedule, though," Bailey comments.

"Okay. Um, Warren?" Webber asks as Ivy presses her face into Jacksons scrub top to stop the laughter.

He nods, "Uh, yeah, I'm in. Uh, what can I bring?"

Webber thinks, "Um, I wouldn't say no to that artichoke dip you brought to the resident mixer."

Warren chuckles, "Well, that's, uh- that's Miranda's secret recipe."

Ivy is shaking with laughter as they sit in silence before Bailey says, "I'll bring it."

As Warren and Bailey get off the elevator, Jackson tells his step-dad, "Should be a great party."

That causes Ivy to laugh out loud.

Ivy drinks orange juice as she and April stand with Arizona, who spots Callie walking towards them, "Oh."

"Be nice," the former Mercy Westers say together.

"I know. But, God, she put me through hell," Arizona smiles at them.

April goes the nicer route, "I know, and you won. You can afford to be magnanimous."

Ivy adds, "And you both put Sofia through hell."

As April hits her arm, Callie approaches them, "Hey, guys. Well, I, uh, was wondering if, um...I've had a surgery come up later this week, and so I wanted to ask if I could please have Sofia Tuesday night instead of Thursday."

Arizona thinks, "Um, so if I allow you to have Sofia on Tuesday, then in exchange I will have her Friday?"

"Yeah, sure, if that's what you want," Ivy can see the pain in Callies eyes.

"Great. Okay, then I will make that work," Arizona tells her.

Ivy gives Arizona her perfected mom look, "Whats the look for?" April asks.

She shakes her head, "Arizona, she may have put you through hell in that courtroom, but you are being Satan like. The only thing that gets us through the day, is our children. Stop holding that against her. Or I'll give you the same speech about Mark I gave her."

"Everything okay between you and Bailey?" Ivy hears her husband ask.

"Yeah. Fine," Warren tells him.

Ivy interrupts them as she joins them laughing, "No, you're still living in the same house, but you're not talking to each other."

He nods, "I'm aware."

Jackson wraps his arms around Ivy, kissing her cheek before asking, "Counseling?"

"Well, if we go to counseling, then we'll have to talk, and then we'll yell, so not talking is better," Warren tells them.

"Or maybe yelling is what you two need to do right now. Before everything gets worse. I mean, you two can't just stay like this," Ivy gestures to him.

"Oh, I can stay like this. And I will. I am a very patient man. And I am right, which makes me even more patient since she is overreacting. I know it and she knows it, though she's not ready to admit it yet. So I am biding my time until she apologizes, at which point I will haul my ass back into our bedroom where it belongs," Warren rants.

"So-so you're not mad?" Jackson asks.

"Nah, man, I am pissed as hell, but she's the love of my life, so..."

Ivy nods, "Yeah. You got to admit, Jackie, that sounds like us some times."

Warren smiles, "I knew it. It's a waiting game."

As he walks away, Ivy looks up at her husband, "I'll make sure the guest bedroom is ready for him when he realizes he needs it."

"But why not? Because you've taken over everything else," Ivy hears Meredith say.

"What are you saying?"

"Get your own life."

Ivy intervenes, "Hey. Just cause you can't be happy doesn't mean the rest of us can't. Our world doesn't revolve around you. Let Amelia be happy and go be bitter in your own little corner. But I will not stand to the side as you belittle her. You can't gatekeep neurosurgery. If you want her to stop being around your kids or in the house, tell her instead of being an ass. Until then, grow up and face your grief."

Ivy stands on the stairs and is surprised when Jackson steps in front of her and puts a hand on her stomach and whispers to it, "Hi baby girl. Daddy can't wait to see you."

She slaps his shoulder, "You can't surprise me like that. It's mean."

He shrugs, "Sorry, I was excited to see you both. And I needed to say hi to our daughter."

"Shh. We haven't told anyone that we're having another daughter," Ivy shushes him.

"I'm having another granddaughter?" Catherine's voice comes from behind Jackson.

He turns around, "Uh, hi mom. Now I see what Ivy meant by suprises."

She ignores him, "Did I hear right? Your having a girl?"

Ivy smiles, passing Jackson to hug her mother in law, "Yes, it's a girl. We were waiting until next week at dinner to tell you, but here. It's the ultrasound pictures from today."

"Aw, she's beautiful. I know the picture is grainy, but I know she will be beautiful," Catherine nods, taking the ultrasound.

"If she takes after her grandmother, she'll be gorgeous," Webber comments, kissing Catherine.

"Okay, okay, ew. Can we have some manners?" Jackson interrupts them.

Catherine glares at her son, "I'm old, not dead. And don't act like you haven't don't worse, in say, the last year."

Ivy giggles, "Shes got you there, love. Come on, we've got to pick up the twins and you two have to go home and spend some time together."

"This is why I love you. You get me," Catherine smiles, hugging Ivy.

"Ha, ha. I'm her favorite," Ivy teases Jackson.

"Thats old news. Come on, let's go home."
