with Dr. Matthews. She laid down on the patient bed, while Jackson stood beside her, the sonogram machine in front of them. Allison's scrub top was lifted up just as Dr. Matthew slides the wand on her belly.

"There you go, you see right there." Dr. Matthews pointed to the screen, which showed their baby, "That little blueberry's what you've been waiting for."

Allison would never grow tired of being surprised and shocked that she is carrying a baby inside of her. She looked over at Jackson, who hasn't said anything ever since she announced she was pregnant. Jackson's grim face turned into a smile, turning his head to look at his wife.

"Wow." Jackson smiled, looking at the screen in awe. That is his baby, his and Allison's.

"Based on your baby's size, I believe you're about six weeks." Dr. Matthews informed them, retrieving the wand from Allison's belly. She then printed the sonogram picture and handed it to the couple. "We can schedule your next appointment in my office."

Allison nodded at her, before the O.B doctor left the room. Allison held the small picture in her hands, and lightly let out a smile. She turned her head to look at Jackson, "We're happy about this? Right?"

Having a baby wasn't ideal, they just got married, and their fellowship contract is coming to an end next week. They agreed to live the married life, first. But everything went out the window as they stared at the sonogram picture.

"We're happy about this." Jackson confirmed, "Baby, we're pregnant."

Allison teared up, seeing the wide smile on her husband's face. Jackson's arm went around her shoulder, "We're pregnant."

Later that day, Allison, Derek and Amelia walked down the hallway with doctors trailing behind them. Amelia has been staying in Seattle for quite some time, and Derek invited her to participate in a surgery.

"The Cooper's chose to do their surgery here because we've done so many of them that we're getting good at it. This one is a little bit tricky because it involves the brain." Derek explained to the doctors behind them. The Cooper twins came into view as they walked to the main lobby Nurse's station. Derek glanced down at his sister, "Are you ready for this?"

"Third time, yeah." Amelia nodded, dismissing it.

"I'm just saying, this is a very big surgery." Derek retorted, not wanting any mistakes on this surgery. The three of them making their way to the Cooper's.

"Derek, you asked her to help. No second thoughts." Allison dismissed. The group reached the twins at the end of the hallway.

"You must be Annie and Liz." Derek said, a smile on his face as he came to a stop. The doctors behind him did as well.

"Nothing gets past you, huh?" Liz responded, just as Annie turned the two to face the doctors. Annie and Liz are conjoined twins, who are at Grey-Sloan to be separated from one another. Which is why it's a big surgery and why Derek didn't want no mistakes from anybody.

"Be nice." Annie warned her twin sister.

"I am. It's just unlikely he's gonna confuse us with another patient." Liz responded. The doctors in front of them knew Liz had a point, they wouldn't confuse them for another patient, this was an important surgery.

Derek glanced at the man beside them, "Dr. Kenzie?"

"Yes, the girl's pediatrician." Dr. Kenzie informed them, gesturing to Annie and Liz.

Annie corrected him, "But, for the record, we're twenty-five, and he's no longer our doctor, he's more like out—"

"Groupie." Liz finished for her.

"I was gonna say family." Annie fixed her sister's statement, she glanced up at the doctors, "Our mom died a few years ago and since then he's really been—"

"There for us."

Derek nodded glancing at the twins,, "Well, it's nice to finally meet you. I'm Dr. Shepherd."

"And so am I." Amelia said, as she clarified it for them, "His sister. Good looks run in the family."

"I'm Dr. Avery." Allison introduced herself to them. She gestured to the doctors behind them, "These are some of the roughly forty people who will be working on you. We are not gonna ask you to learn their names."

"Maybe you should." Liz said, "We could take a test before and after surgery. See if you cut through our memories centers."

Annie rolled her eyes, "Will you stop saying things like that?"

Liz shrugged her shoulder, "I'm just keeping it real."

"Oh, you're impossible."

"These are the most complex brain scans you will ever see." Derek said, pointing to the scans displayed on the screen. The doctors nodded along.

Amelia continued, "As you will see, these women share brain matter. Separating them is made ever more complicated by the fact—"

"There is one shared sagittal sinus. Supplying blood to the brain." Derek finished for Amelia, who only nodded in response, "First, we need to determine which lucky twin gets to keep that, and the other twin gets a graft."

"Dr. Grey and Dr. Webber will harvest the saphenous vein. Which would be used as the new sagittal sinus, while Dr. Torres would be making a mold of the cranial bone flap, to be able to replace the missing part of the skull. Dr. Avery would cover with a flap for now and place skin expanders to fully cover the entire defect."

"We need to move quickly and meticulously to turn one brain into two with the least amount of deficit." Allison faced the doctors, "If this surgery scares you, if you're not up to the challenge, let us know."

"We need everybody to be confident in there." Derek said. The doctors nodded their heads, "Get ready."

"Cristina went to Zurich?" Allison asked Meredith, the two walking side by side down the hallway. Allison munched on some crackers, "She should get me some chocolate."

"I already asked, but I'll send a message just for you." Meredith shook her head. The two making their way to the room where Derek goes over the surgery.
