my dear lover

" hi what brought you here, did something happened" Joan's mom asked


"yes, something happened" Nick's mom said


"oh my poor baby, don't worry your dear auntie won't allow anything bad to happen to you" Nick's mom said


"hey you are scaring me, what's it" Joan's mom asked


"let's sit down and talk" and they went to sit down and talk


"yh you, you know what I am getting tired of this, why don't you tell them that you are a grown up now so you can be responsible for yourself and that they should leave me alone" Nick said.


but before he could answer both his and Joan's mom called them in


"Joan, you are not old enough to date ok, stay with Nick always and listen to him only and ask him questions and tell him what other boys tells you ok, he will guide you" Joan's mom added


"And Nick, take care of her ok, she's young and maybe a little naive so look out for her" Joan's mom said


'really? I'm just one year older than her if she's not old enough what makes them think I'm older, is it because I am a boy, really I'm getting tired of this whole brother duty thing' Nick thought


"hey why aren't you answering" Nick's mom tapped him on his shoulder


'fine if they want me to be an older brother I think I will do it perfectly for them' Nick thought.


just like Joan was told, he asked Nick questions she felt bothered about and always listened to what he said.


slowly Nick became used to her questions and tantrums, and every chance he got he made fun of her a little.


Joan also became used to following Nick around and listening to him although sometimes she felt the answers given by Nick to her questions seems odd and strange still she always listened to him


there was a time when a boy approached Joan and gave her a letter and run off. just before she could open the letter, she saw Nick coming and as usual rushed towards him with all smiles


"did you come to look for me" Joan asked happily


"why are you happy about this" Nick asked


"you don't come to our side of the school, I always did that so I'm happy" Joan said


"this is nothing to be happy about, I came to give you this, I forgot to give it to you earlier, here my mom asked me to give this to you" Nick said


"wow it's that book I wanted the other day but mom didn't get for me, thank her for me"


"you can do that yourself, what's that in your hands" Nick asked


"oh a boy gave it to me and run off" Joan said


Nick took it, opened it and smiled and then asked Joan


"Joan you think I'm a good brother right and everything I do is right"
