chapter seventy

when he thought it was just an illusion she called his name and his feet stopped on it's own and he turned towards her

it was indeed her and she wore the prettiest smile, she hadn't changed, she was beautiful and even more.

the distance between them was far as Joan run towards him with a smile and happiness Nick started to panic, he started sweating and his heart kept on thumping

"please don't, don't smile like that, I will leave everything and come to your side again. are you really that happy to see me? I am not strong when it comes to you. help me... someone help me because I am about to fall all over again, I want to be with her. I lost my guard.....walls I put up, walls I practiced to put up when I meet you but just you being here and smiling changes everything

1.....2...3 walls scrambled" Nick's thought

but before he could move towards Joan,.Alice came in between and dragged him away

"thank you Alice" he said as he hugged her

"I lost....I lost to her again, I am not over her..... I can't believe I was weak in front of her" he said as Alice listen to him still in his embrace.

They got home and decided to go for the meeting the next day as Nick was not in the mood

"what?" Fred said

"I saw Nick and he was fine, he's here and maybe he's angry at me but he's ok"

"are you sure Joan" Kimmy asked

"yes, it's not my imagination, I saw him and just when I was about to approach him, this girl came and dragged him away" Joan said a little annoyed

Fred left to look for him

"are you jealous of the girl"" Kimmy asked

"I have no right to be jealous, I literally pushed him away, so I have no right, I am happy I saw him ok. even if he was with her I will be happy for them, even though it might hurt but I just want my friend back, that will be enough for me" Joan said

if she wouldn't be hurt if Nick replaced her would be a lie but indeed she had no right, not after all the things she said, she doubted his love.

after the disappearance of nick, Fred told her if how much he loves her....sorry...loved her.

that made her more angry at herself.

if something had happened to him, she would have died.

Joan went to bed happy whilst Nick was in thoughts.
