12 THE GUILD MEETING

Inside Elena's room

In her room, on the bed Elena opens her eyes and looks at the familiar ceiling of her room. Slowly she remembers what she did an hour ago and quickly gets up and sits on the bed. Then she suddenly hears a person complaining about her.

"Damn you Elena, you said we need to lay low and control ourselves and don't fight with Ren or the other vice captains till we hoard some merits to our name and cement our position in the guild. But what did you and Nat do when we left for the morning rounds? You both fucking attacked Ren and you guys didn't tell me before. This is called hypocrisy." venting his frustration on Elena is none other than David.

Looking at him and then at the remaining two people in the room who are shaking their heads, Elena smiles wryly at David who is throwing a tantrum like a child. Then she looks at Nat and asks," What happened after I faint?"

Looking at her, Nat starts to recall what happened after Elena fainted after using her full power attack then how the Ren got weakened and how she continuously attacked him without giving him a break and then later how the other vice captains came and rescue their 'captain' and how she brought her to her room an hour ago with the help of the guildmates.

Hearing all this, David face is slowly contorts in rage, and he shouts," You too Nat? I can understand if Elena attacked, but you too... how can you betray me along with her?"

Ignoring David's rant, Elena asks," How is the situation now?"

"Its bad. After Ren is taken back to his room, the Vice captains blocked the room completely, and they temporarily fixed the broken wall and we don't really know what's happening in there? But looking at their faces, I can say its pretty bad and they might threaten your vice captain position." The one replied to Elena is Jack.

Hearing this Elena can't help but ask," That bad?"

"Yeah, that's what you get when you tried to kill the captain" grumbles David.

"How long I have been out?"

"For an hour." says Nat.

At the same time, someone knocks the door. Elena frowns, remembering how her day started similarly with the same knock.

In the mean time, Jack stood up and opens the door, outside they can see a middle aged man, he is one of the people who appreciates what Alfred did to them. He bows to Jack and says," Captain Ren is starting a guild meeting in the guild grounds, and everyone should be there within 10 minutes." saying this he once again bows to everyone in the room and left.

Hearing that there is a guild meeting, everyone has a bad feeling. Slowly after 5 minutes, all four of them leaves the room for the grounds to the guild meeting.

Normally in a guild meeting, only captain and vice captains sits on a stage and remaining members of the other three ranks stands below the stage and participates in the meeting. But looking at the stage, everyone has same thought, 'Where is Elena's seat?' That's because, Ren and the remaining three vice captains sits on the both sides of the Captain and there is no empty seat for Elena.

Looking at the seating arrangement, Elena and others frowns. They slowly stand in front of the crowd. As soon as Ren saw the four, before they go and joins the group below the stage, Ren stands up and says," Not so fast, Nat and Elena come and stand here." Saying this, he points at a corner of the stage in front of him.

Kinda expecting what's going to happen, both the girl climbed the stage and stands in the spot Ren showed a few moments ago. After looking at the girls standing in the corner, Ren starts talking," These two guildmates attacked me, your Captain with the intention to kill. And now I want them to be punished for the crime they did. I am doing this trail in the presence of you all because, one of them is a vice captain and another is a officer rank member and both are children of the previous captain."

"Tsk..." David clicks his tongue hearing this.

Hearing this, a one old man comes forward and says," Captain, please excuse this behaviour of the two girls, they are young and are in process of grieving their father's sudden demise. Please overlook their mistake for once, they will not repeat this."

Listening to this, Nat tries to say that it's Ren who is at fault to ask them to become his mistresses. But Elena stops her and shakes her head not to tell anything, she knows if they revealed this issue, all the people who support them will turn against Ren and other vice captains and there will be a permanent rift between them and Ren and it isn't good for the guild. which will effect their chances of their revenge. Thinking back, she feels bad that she lost control of her emotions and attacked Ren. Now she is regretting her decision.

After listening what the old man said, Ren contemplates for a few seconds and says, " What you said is right, and I can neglect their insubordination for once because, I know what their worth." he says looking at the girls who are standing in the corner making the girls throw disgusting look at him.

Shrugging to their look, Ren continues, "But this isn't the first time they attacked me, they literally attacked me yesterday in my office for nothing and I forgave them for what they did. But, what they did? They attacked me the next day and they managed to severely injure me. That's why I wanted punish them this time. And that is to banish them from the guild forever."

Immediately everyone starts murmuring, and they all are shouting to take back his decision.

Hearing this, Nat cant stay silent anymore and says, " Don't talk bullshit. You intentionally bad mouthed my father yesterday and today you asked us to be your women. Everyone knows here how you use and discard all the women you can get your hands on. You simply are trying to start a fight with us."

Hearing this, a small smirk formed on Ren's face and he signals to one of the vice captain sitting behind him and he stands up and starts showing a projection, which shows the record of Elena and David attacking the shield which is defending Ren and Darren, and it also shows Jack and Nat standing still.

After the projection ends, Ren says "You all saw how they attacked me yesterday and today and you still want me to forgive them?"

No one has a reply to what Ren asked. And they all looking at Elena hoping she might say something. As answering to their gazes, Elena moves forward, and says, Ren why are you all doing this? What do you want to achieve by doing this? You clearly taunted us and now you are saying you need to punish us? This is clearly bullshit."

Hearing this everyone shouts in support of Elena and others asking Ren to not to ban them.

Looking at everyone, Ren raises his hand to make the noise stop and says, "I know that you all disappointed with my decision to ban them, so you all leave me with no choice. My hands are tied, and there only two options before you.

One is that Elena, Nat, David and Jack will be banned for ever from the guild.

Second one is, We shall take this matter to Royal Court and they will investigate this and give appropriate punishment for the guilty ones."

Hearing Ren mentioning Royal Court, everyone stops talking, and everything falls in place for Elena. Now she understands that their goal from the start is not taking the control of the guild, but to get rid of them from the guild for good.
