Chapter 27: Welcome Back, Mack

My mood had done a total 180 from panicked and nervous to feeling in control and relaxed. Roxy helped me find a good mechanic that won’t cost too much money and will help tow my car to the shop after work for a huge discount.

She’s a natural when it comes to driving; she says she took a lot of precision and defensive driving courses, but I also just think she looks great behind the wheel.

It took her a bit of convincing that she could play music, apparently, Ramon’s ears are a little more sensitive than mine, but she turned on some Bad Bunny and we jammed out like high schoolers at the red light before the turn to work.

“I didn’t think you’d be into hip hop, you seem like the grunge type of person…maybe Adele.” Roxy laughs as she pulls into the bank parking lot. “Don’t get me wrong, I love rock too. Ramon would take me to metal shows.”

“I like listening to a lot of diff–is that Cameron and Rivkah?!”
