Escape

They waited to put their plan into motion until it got dark. Ashley would head their way and untie their binds. Then June would head down to the ground to untie Roxy from the binds holding her. The four half-bloods and Roxy would then make their way out of the camp and find a spot where June could make contact with the Gods and Goddesses.

Night fell, and June, Dream, and Jace waited for Ashley to make her move.

“Do you think she will come?” Jace asked June.

“I do,” June answered. “I think Ashley really wants to change things by a peaceful means before following her father.”

“June,” Dream called out. “What if Ashley is playing you like she did back at camp?”

“Ashley never really played me,” June said, looking out into the dark for a sign that Ashley was coming. “Ashley only offered to help me since everyone was against me being at camp. Ashley only wanted to provide support. Now it’s my time to help her.”
