Earth has become a dangerous place to live. The infectious disease agency has decided the best way to slow the spread is by taking the firstborn from each family. Dannon and Alayna Higgins and Judah and Bekah Greenberg are expecting the first, and have already joined the Space and Science Experiment Agency to help settle another planet. Their commander's time transporter broke several hundred years in the past, and another takes his place. It is believed by most that the planet is unpopulated. They were wrong. War breaks out. Only the friendship between the Higgins, Greenbergs, and the planet's native races and a return of the commander will stop annihilation of both sides.

Invaders on Akron

Commander Conner peered into the holding unit. Maz looked up, and his gaze locked with Commander Conner’s. 


 “The male bodyguard is Rowan,” Alayna said. “The woman is Ashyn. Scion is the elder race on the right. The one on the left is Maz.” 


 “Maz,” Commander Conner uttered. “Jamison, is that you?” 


 “Dad!” Maz sprang from his seat and rushed into his adoptive father’s arms. 


 “How are you, my boy?” Commander Conner asked. 


 “I am getting along,” Maz said, staring at the floor. “I was married to a childhood friend, Elektra.” 


 “And?” Commander Conner questioned. 


 “She laid eight eggs, and one grew inside like a parasite. Killed her.” 


 Alayna felt a nudge against her leg, and Maz Younger and Nala brushed past. 


 “Daddy!” They exclaimed in unison. 


 He welcomed them and nodded toward Trevon. 


 “That’s my daddy,” he said. “Your grandpa.” 


 “You’re our grandpa?” Nala whispered, clapping her hands.
