Day Two #3

There were a wide variety of different herbs, fruits, ores and monster materials which could be used in many different ways.

Some were used to produce weapons while others helped to develop medicines or poisons.

There existed some special fruits or other consumables that helped to boost the stats of a person while some potions had been developed to do the same.

Some were focussed on increasing the energy stats while others worked more on the physical stats and strengthened the strength, agility, endurance and stamina.

Through levelling up in the dungeons, there were many free stat points awarded by the system upon levelling up or completing some difficult feat which earned a title.

Many had lost their awarded stats and gains during their time in the dungeons after they had been cleared on earth but there were those that could recognise such materials which could be used to help them become stronger and aid their growth in power.

Through circulating her energy within her body, Inis had gotten used to refining, circulating and taking in the energy from her surroundings but to grow stronger at a more rapid pace, those materials would be helpful for her.

The matter ingestion would allow her to eat some materials which would cause others energy overloads or illness so long as Inis was careful with what she ate.

Upon reaching a higher grade or realm in power, her ability would be able to help in consuming higher grade materials so she had the desire to find and collect them.

There would be other Gremlins by her side so they needed a way to grow quickly too which meant that the need for the materials were much higher.

It was still unknown if the creatures above ordinary mortal human level contained enough energy within their bodies so that it would grant an additional boost in energy after eating the flesh which had been strengthened by the energy.

Most creatures breathed in the energy naturally when resting or sleeping while it continued to circulate and strengthen their bodies but the growth in strength was quite slow so they needed to hunt others and gather materials to speed up their growth.

Humans had used four hundred years to research their own methods to gather, circulate and refine energy then moved onto developing internal and external techniques based on their own preference or experiences using skills in the dungeons.

Those blessed by the dungeon were the first and most talented people who had unlocked their limitations from undergoing mental and physical baptisms in the dungeons so they accepted aether better but not every human in the new era had affinity with cultivating the aether energy.

Due to certain cultivation methods and techniques being kept secret by some clans or organisations and only some being released to the public which were lesser quality versions, there were far less experts appearing from anywhere outside those groups.

It was made even more difficult to mass produce experts once it was discovered that peoples talents with aether determined their future limitations.

Even if they ate or drunk a large amount of miracle drugs, they were be unable to reach the apex of strength.

Some clans or groups had formed from the remnants of crafting profession hunters which allowed the smithing and potion making to be passed down to the future generations or there was someone that had been able to establish a position for themselves while still being alive four hundred years later.

Some guilds or schools were established around the world fifty years ago to help gather and teach more capable fighters and supporters for to replenish the lost experts which had been lost in past conflicts and failed explorations in some dangerous areas.

With the technology from the visitors from other planets, there had been development in space travel which allowed exploration into space and the other planets so there had been the occasional group gathered to explore and attempt to claim one of them.

Unfortunately they were met with resistance from monsters that occupied the planet and it was discovered that the dungeons had not disappeared just as the visitors had warned upon the alliances on earth being formed.

They were sceptical at first but they quickly came to know about the outside threat and that their home planet was like a place of paradise compared to other places which made other outside even more of a threat because they could wish to take the planet for themselves.

While Inis was not fully aware of the outside world beyond her current location, she had some guesses in how humanity would have progressed after the world had changed.

The power levels or realms of strength were divided into several groups which was ordinary human which had not cultivated, mortal, earth, sky and divine realms.

In the mortal realms were Elementary, Foundation and Manifestation realm then there were three more in the earth and sky realms.

Each realm was measured in nine stages but they could also be called early, middle and late stages when split up.

A dungeon creature which had entered the first realm was described as a grade one, upon entering the second it was grade two and so on while the stages were simplified to early, middle and late stages.

Each dungeon creature was easily identified by their strength because they had less control over their energy so they could not hide it like humans so it was easy for their power to be identified by a detector or a human sensitive to energy.

If Inis was to be identified for her current power then she would have been identified as an early grade one monster but many would mistake her for a regular monster and underestimate her not knowing that she was a variant or overlord type which put her within or close to being a superior species.

After eating, resting, cultivating and making further preparations, Inis dragged her two followers back into the forest.

In the camp, there had been a dog pelt left along with a couple of smaller ones which were laid out to dry under the sun which would be later used for to make some clothing while there were many different sized skulls, bones and internal organs laying around.

Upon seeing Inis leave, the other Gremlins gathered and started to feed on the bones and meat which was left out in the open.

Their eyes turned towards the rack which held the pelts as they showed mischievous looks. "Kakaka."

"Gigigi."

The sounds of tearing and shattering went on for a while along with the laughter of the Gremlins.

Even if they had been taught once or twice, they could not overcome their own nature and habits so easily.

While Inis had left some things out in the open for them to share among themselves, she had already warned them to stay away from the rack but they did not take her warning seriously.
