In the same location as before, there were a couple of bone spears sticking out by the nearby trees in many places.
A Gremlin was seen running away from another figure then was hit by it but it raised up a shield which was made from the ribs of the mountain wolf, wood and some weavings to bind it together.
It got in the way of the charge of the boar which charged at Kreg and took most of the impact so Kreg avoided being damaged and rolled away.
The boar paused for a moment and then charged again but Kreg retreated around a tree. "Gihi."
The boar chased but the bone spear that was sticking out had cut into it as it passed. "Reee!"
A short bone spear was thrown from above which missed its target but Remli did not give up as she removed another bone spear from the basket.
The second made contact with the boar and was pierced into the back of it which caused it to scream in pain.
It was getting closer to catching up to Kreg but the spear delayed it more which allowed Kreg to manouver around to another tree.
The boar could not get to Remli so it decided to go for Kreg but upon getting close, Kreg lured it close to the bone spear that was sticking out then rolled away.
The boar impaled its own head on the spear and was stuck unable to move while it was struggling to free itself.
Its strong vitality and it not being a fatal wound kept it alive but its energy and blood kept draining quickly as it struggled.
Another figure appeared as it slid across the ground and wielded a curved bone knife which slashed at the back legs which severed the tendons.
The back legs gave in and the boar writhed around helplessly still attached to the bone spear.
Before it could attempt to use its front legs to help it overcome its crisis, Inis and Kreg did not miss their chance.
A bone axe was swung towards the back of the boar by Kreg while Inis jumped up onto the upper back. "Die."
The two bone daggers pierced into the flesh and when one was removed, it was stabbed further up the body quickly which allowed her to climb closer towards the neck.
The struggling boar was unable to roll over or resist in its current state so Inis got close to the neck easily and inserted then slashed her curved bone knives across the throat of the boar.
There was an additional factor which played a part in subduing and killing the boar which was the poisonous herbs which had been applied to the bone spears.
They helped to slow down and weaken the boar so it would have a difficult time catching Kreg while it was being weakened further by it being lead around into traps.
Its overall strong vitality and slightly thicker hide did not protect it that well when such tactics were used.
The two Gremlins had been able to try using different tools and methods to allow Inis to see what suited them best during the first two hunts.
Kreg preferred fighting directly over running away but he lacked useful tools to do so while Remli preferred to attack from a safe distance.
Their equipment were limited to what Inis could produce in a short time with the materials available to her so groups teamwork and tactics could still be improved upon once there were better tools available.
Inis looked over towards the bone shield on the arm of Kreg and then sighed. 'One hit from a single boar but there seems to be some minor damage already. One more hit and perhaps it will be destroyed.'
She turned to the other two and ordered. "Help."
Three Gremlins gathered around the boar and started to work together to remove it from the bone spear.
Once it was free, the bone knives in Inis hand started to move quickly as the body of the boar was being disassembled quickly.
An experienced hunter from the dungeon era would be surprised by the speed that the body of the boar was being disassembled.
The talent of the Gremlins to destroy and disassemble things was not to be underestimated but it was even greater in the hands of Inis who had often handled such tasks in the dungeon.
Experience and a special type of innate intuition were combined together to create a record breaking feat.
Many useful parts were placed inside the basket for Remli to carry while there were some larger or heavier things placed to the side.
Half of a heart was in each of the hands of Remli and Kreg as they began to eat them raw.
While they were eating and Inis was kept busy with her own work, her ears suddenly perked up a little and her eyes turned cold.
The two curved bone knives in her hands were held tightly as she turned to face towards a prowling figure nearby. "Come."
An excited look was in her eyes. 'Well.. this is to be expected. The blood would have brought it here.'
Dragging away a large mountain dog was not too difficult to do for the three of them but a heavy boar would have taken a lot of time and energy to attempt to do.
It was easier to just disassemble on the spot them bring along what was needed, anything useless could be discarded or eaten by Kreg and Remli.
There would always be a risk of being cornered or stalked by something which had picked up on the scent if blood so Inis did not drop her guard.
A figure was hiding in the long grass and was prowling closer until it jumped out.
Just as it did, Inis ran directly towards it as fast as she could with her curved bone knives readied for combat. 'Now that I have had the chance to observe them both… it is time to test out this body of mine.'
