With the herbs in her mouth, the effects of the smoke that remained did not affect her body so Inis had been able to slit the throats of everything in the main room.
Her eyes fell upon a couple of burrowed holes which were slightly hidden from most peoples sight even when the room was very dark.
When she pulled away what was blocking her sight to see what was within, Inis spotted many similarly smaller goblins which were newborns huddled together in their sleep.
She pulled at their legs on after another while slitting their throats then moved onto looking in every direction for any that could have been hiding.
There was another opening which was larger and lead to a place that humans or bigger creatures could fit into so she climbed inside and witnessed a gruesome sight. 'Why am I not surprised? Even after the dungeons have ended, they are still a nuisance.'
Inis had a deep hatred for goblins and similar monsters that had their own bad habits or ways of torturing others before killing them because of those she knew that had died or suffered at their hands.
Seeing the same scene only reignited her fury which had awakened, her blood started to heat up and her two curved bone blades started to slash all around the room.
Each time she passed by a goblin whether it was a female, male or baby there was death within the room.
The large stomaches of the goblins were slashed open which revealed the babies which were all cut to pieces.
There were some non goblin females laying among the filth in the room and were all fast asleep.
Some had protruding bellies while some did not but most of them were either naked, had very little covering their bodies from having their clothes had been ripped apart or they had some animal skins covering them like a blanket.
There was a little care shown for the women laying there to help keep them from starving, dehydrating or freezing to death but it was all the bare minimum which could help keep them alive.
Many of the bodies and bones nearby showed that many had died previously and some had died from disease caused by the poor environment and handling of the corpses or filth that were left lying there.
Inis looked down towards the protruding bellies of the women and let out a sigh. 'Should I just kill them now to lessen their suffering or should I give them a chance to live? Either way I will have to deal with those that are to be born from them.'
Inis thought that it would be better to let them die in their sleep so they would no longer have to feel pain or despair from what had happened to them but by doing so, she would be robbing them of their choice.
Some people were stronger than others and were not so easily broken so they would even use their bad experiences to fuel their growth or desire to grow stronger.
Hatred was a strong motivator which helped many people grow quicker than those without a goal.
It would be helpful to keep some alive for a while even if they wanted to die because Inis was severely lacking in knowledge of the outside world and the forest that she was in.
Since Inis could not see them all that clearly, she decided to lift one at a time and then drag them back but first, she continued to check every possible location for the remaining goblins. 'All done.. now to remove these people.'
There were not many human figures so it would not take her a long time to remove them all but the problem was leaving them with those of her own kind. 'Looks like I have to spend a little time teaching them.'
She did not really want to do so since the smoke would clear soon and the effects of the herbs would wear off eventually depending on each person's resistance to them so she did not want to waste too much time on teaching the others to not touch what she says not to touch.
Setting boundaries early would definitely be helpful for future cooperation and running of her own group so she started thinking of ways to handle the situation. 'I guess brute force and punishments will work best on just about anything.. it is the simplest method after all.'
While Inis was carrying a body up and out of the passage towards the exit, the fire had already gone out and she had stepped outside of the cave.
Due to her shorter legs and size, Inis had mainly carried the upper body over her while dragging behind the lower body.
Back when the dungeons had first appeared, people started levelling up and monsters came from the dungeons, the era had been reported to first be met with the resistance of guns and other weapons until people entered the dungeons as a hunter.
Guns could pierce the bodies of most creatures within the one to nine levels unless the monsters were of a much higher grade of species that made them far more durable than others.
Hunters at those stages were still very vulnerable and had difficulty adjusting until the first people emerged after earning skills and achievements of their own.
Those that had accomplished great things gained public attention and support which lead to the creation of the hunter guilds and hunter association which kept track of and managed most hunters in the world.
While Inis had evolved and had grown in strength in a short time, she had yet to fully let her body be strengthened by that energy like other creatures like herself but it was enough to carry a pregnant woman.
She had checked their bodies for anything dangerous so she could prevent any attacks on her life once she was moving them outside.
If Inis was a monster that was of the Emissary or Zenith grade then she did not have to worry about such things but since she barely qualified as a Superior monster, Inis was being as careful as possible.
When she arrived at the exit, she placed down a pregnant woman then saw the two which had inherited their improved innate abilities from herself. 'It seems that they were quicker than the other two to get the energy under control but their energy is still a little unstable and unrefined. They still need to spend more time resting otherwise it could become a problem if they try to eat anything more.'
While she had gained an all round boost to her innate abilities and physique, the others who were produced by her only gained one enhancement in one area.
They had each gained a boost to their agility and strength so they did not have their other innate abilities improved as Inis had expected.
If they had gained an improvement to their matter ingestion innate ability then they would have had an easier time taking in more energy than the other two.
The only reason why they were able to handle the rampant energy within them was because their bodies were slightly better than the other two in their own way.
While Vik was showing less discomfort as he walked towards her and the body, Vio was showing more visible discomfort and her aura was less stable than Vik's own aura.
Seeing their greedy and salivating appearance as they approached the woman, Inis stepped in front of them then cracked her knuckled. "Time.. to.. teach.."
She ran forward and her fist hit the face of Vik then she turned her body around, her other arm was swung backwards and hit the stomach of Vio. "No eat! Mine! No touch!"
They revealed stubborn looked which followed with several more beatings until they were more submissive and laying on the ground. "Go.. rest! Eat no more! None of you! Tell them! No touch!"
She was concerned that the others would notice the woman so warned them not to touch or allow the others to do the same otherwise there would be dire consequences.
Inis gave a threatening glance in their direction before going back down to drag up another one. 'Hmph.. at least my children are more obedient to their leader.'
She saw the sight of the two purple Gremlins which were resting while the other two had been laying down as if they had been knocked out.
Seeing that her innate talent had its uses in helping her lead her own kind, Inis put away her worries and went down to drag up the other women.
She did not wish to stick around for too long because it would be dangerous to remain where there were many dead bodies.
Although the burning smell and the stench of the goblins had helped to cover the smell of blood while most of it remained within the cave, if there was a predator with a strong sense of smell nearby then it would be bad news for her and her group.
Never mind saving the women, if the situation was bad enough then keeping alive those in her group would be difficult.
They had only just overcome a battle and were adjusting to the energy in their bodies so they could not go into battle so quickly because it would only cause their energy to run more rampant within their bodies.
On the way back down, Inis was chewing on some of the remains from the goblin leader after she had sliced off a part it.
As she was chewing on the meat and kept the herb underneath her tongue, Inis felt something strange as she placed the final woman on her back. "Hm?"
Her became curious but also a little sceptical as she carried the woman. 'This does not feel human.. should I just kill it or should I take it out? It seems to have some energy within their body.. what to do.. they are still sleeping but what if they wake up?'
Since it was so dark, it was difficult to distinguish if it was a human, monster or demon species but she knew from the female human shaped body and the feeling she felt that it could possibly be a monster or demon.
It was still unknown what type it was so she did not know if it would be a hostile type towards most others while not being able to communicate with her or if it actually had intelligence.
The chances of her gaining an ally or enemy depended on what they were and if they could be reasoned with.
If they could communicate then having someone that had some intelligence would be a welcomed addition since Inis had felt quite lonely and cut off from society after she had been reincarnated.
Gremlins were not exactly the best companions and were not great for keeping up conversations in her opinion.
