The battle went in the favour of Inis for several reasons but one of the things that made it so easy for her to win was the distance she had to fire from.
The monkeys in the tree had been able to swing through the trees and could adapt during combat so they should have been able to reach Inis by going from their own tree towards the one that she was firing from.
She had a steady aim and enough patience to be able to plan her shots to take down one monkey per arrow fired so it had resulted in her not wasting what arrows she had brought.
The monkeys had swung in between two trees and were in the air where they were vulnerable to attacks and could not adjust their posture to avoid the incoming arrows so they were hit.
Those that had been hit by the arrows had fallen down and were harmed further by their fall before they were torn apart by the creatures below.
If it was anyone else then they may have missed certain opportunities and became overwhelmed but Inis had made use of her positioning and the fact that the monkeys were mostly busy defending the tree.
It was rare for them to go on the counterattack and leave their place of safety unless they truly felt threatened.
Compared to other creatures, the flesh of the monkeys was not that tough and durable so the arrows that Inis had made from the bones of other creatures were able to pierce through them even if they may have been of a lower power level than the monkeys.
Targeting the eyes or other weak points on the body helped to lessen the piercing power needed to allow the arrows to do enough harm to them or the creatures below.
Even if a small wound was dealt to more durable creatures, the arrow heads had poison on them so that would help to bring down anything more troublesome.
Inis looked around towards the too of the big tree and saw that there were still some monkeys around in hiding.
They were much smaller in size but Inis wasted no time in moving towards them, they were all inside what were their own versions of tree houses.
The wooden branches that were bent or snapped off from the tree or other locations were stacked up or were arranged to build a small shelter in different locations.
It was obvious that they had made use of their talents to mimic others and had learned how to build homes for themselves.
The smaller monkeys inside of them were the newborns and those that had not been able to participate in the battle.
They were the weakest of them but Inis showed no mercy towards them when she had silently went closer towards each of them and stabbed her bone blades inside the shelters.
The others had started to flee in fear once they were alerted to her presence but once they fell from the tree, they were met with a large group of Gremlins and a Satyress.
The thick and strong branched held up each of the shelters and served to provide the monkeys with a large habitat to live in.
The middle where those branches came out was where there were far more monkeys gathered so it took more time to deal with them before Inis had reached the core of their habitat.
A monkey had jumped towards Inis with a stick raised in the air and tried to bring it down on her but the bone blade was thrust upward towards its chest.
The monkey fell down onto the blade then its weight had cause it to fall to the side. "Ah.."
Another monkey had come forward and was behind the falling monkey but the free bone blade in her other hand had swung around.
"Ee!"
The bone blade slashed towards the throat of the other monkey and the other bone blade had come from the body of the falling monkey.
Two monkeys fell down from the tree after she finished them off and she continued forward.
She finally entered the main shelter and saw a large bowl that was sitting at the back of the room.
Inis looked towards the large bowl and her eyes lit up. 'These monkeys sure do enjoy making these things. Good thing that there is still a lot left and they were probably going to use the newly grown fruits to add to it.'
There were some kinds of fruits and other ingredients that could help to increase the power of others, they could help strengthen the body, certain parts of it or the energy within the body.
There were various combinations that could make use of those ingredients to produce potions or other things that would be beneficial for the body.
The monkeys and some other creatures had an innate sense towards mixing those ingredients or had a special type of recipe.
Humans could learn and replicate those recipes while some of them were still not completely replicated or some recipes may have been improved upon by humans.
The fruits effects would allow growth in power and strengthen the body but the effects were limited.
When properly handled and left to ferment along with other fruits and ingredients, the fruit wine produced by the monkeys would result in a strong medicinal win that could be far more beneficial than what could be found growing on the tree.
The large bowl was tilted slightly with Inis opening her mouth wide and the fruit wine had slowly entered her mouth.
As it slid down her throat, the warm feeling spread throughout her body but there was a very powerful surge of power that started to become uncontrollable.
The volatile energy that was within her that she had yet to absorb came from drinking too large of an amount of the fruit wine so once Inis had reached her limit, the bowl was placed back in its original position.
She was sat down soon after and slowly started to circulate her energy. 'This place seems better and more advantageous than the cave so we should take over here for now. Traps being set around here would be better than the cave too.'
Outside where everyone else was gathered, the fruits had started to fall from the tree after they had completely ripened then the Gremlins and Xeni had caught one each then consumed them.
