A New Takashi

The next morning, the temporary soldiers' station under the Rose Wall was very hectic.

The soldiers' temporary station is a street under the wall. At this time, the soldiers were having breakfast. The atmosphere is very quiet, no one had the strength to talk cheerfully.

How many faces that were familiar will never be seen again, there was still no way to rescue the bodies, if there are any bodies left to pick up.

Wouldn't they participate in today's war? No, no one was taking the initiative to participate, and even for those who have overcome their fears, they felt very tired and had no intention of participating in the battle.

Takashi, who had finished breakfast, put on the three-dimensional maneuvering equipment. Last night, after the conversation with his uncle Levi, he was full of energy ready to go to war against the titans.

When he was walking down this small street with the three-dimensional maneuvering equipment, he found that many people were looking at him strangely.

Christa stopped him and asked in surprise, "Takashi, why are you carrying three-dimensional maneuvering equipment? We don't have to fight today."

It was only until now that Takashi realized that others didn't know about his active participation in this war, he didn't think much about it and said, "I was invited to a squadron to fight in the cleanup of the Trost district, I'm temporarily with the garrison corps."

Christa bowed her head slightly and asked, "Aren't you tired? We have already lost many comrades, Daz is also dead and Thomas along with Nelson are wounded, no one is in the mood to keep fighting."

Ymir sneered, "You should know Christa, Takashi is a lunatic. He has no fear, his energy seems to be endless. I'm sorry I let you into his squadron, fortunately we have graduated, Christa, come on."

Takashi wasn't angry, he was now familiar with Ymir's behavior and said, "We have to talk later, although my behavior shouldn't be wrong, right, am I the only one who takes the initiative to fight in this war?"

Takashi looked around for a moment, but found that everyone was looking at him silently, Jean, Connie, Armin and Mikasa all looked at him without speaking.

Only then he realized that it was abnormal. No one made the decision to participate in this war except him. Sasha and Mikasa were simply resting, as if their mentality was broken. No fighting mentality at all.

Jean learned that Marco had not returned and was very uneasy. Sasha was not ready to fight. Hesitating to even go to the Survey Corps or not.

And the others, there is nothing to talk about them, they are not warriors, they are just new cadets just graduated without much combat experience. Yesterday they fought for a day, experienced the fear of facing the titans and saw their classmates getting bitten by the titans.

Sasha from one moment to the next approached Takashi and asked, "Takashi, do you still intend to continue fighting? I can't believe you're participating in the cleanup today!"

"Should I participate too?"

Takashi was stunned for a moment. He looked at Sasha and said, "Sasha, don't be silly, it was enough what we experienced at the end of the battle, rest for today."

He really didn't want to push anyone in this fight, everyone is responsible for their own decisions. He would definitely feel bad if soldiers died just to follow him to the battlefield.

Very few were those who had the ability to adapt to the battlefield, just look at the small number of Survey Corps members.

He also had moments when he wanted to give up, and even wanted to run away, if it wasn't for his true feelings and determination, he would have decided to stay away from danger.

When he became stronger due to the Chakra and his aptitude, his confidence increased to engage in battle against the titans.

His battle experience now could be considered acceptable, but that doesn't take away the fact that he could die at any time.

"But... I want to try..." Sasha looked confused, now her body and words were deceiving her true desires.

"Don't push yourself, forcing yourself won't make you stronger overnight." Takashi said with a smile.

"You should be careful, don't put yourself in danger like last time." Sasha said with concern.

Takashi just looked at Sasha before nodding, "I will take care of cleaning up the city and eliminating all the titans. Sasha, you shouldn't be scared, in a few years quite possibly the titans will be nothing but history."

Ymir reluctantly exclaimed, "If everyone were as strong as you, the titans would have been exterminated long ago!"

Hearing that, Takashi looked down, sighing helplessly he nodded. "It doesn't matter how strong you are to be a good warrior, as long as you have a purpose to be one, confidence will slowly form within our bodies."

His expression was calm, Takashi said to Ymir, "No one is born strong, when I was weak I thought of running away, I even cried at nights for help. But I knew no one would come looking for me, no one would help me solve my problem."

"The only thing I can do for you is to keep fighting, don't worry, we won long ago."

Takashi didn't say anything else, he didn't care if they fought or not, his gaze was firm and he set out to help those who wanted to continue this battle. As he withdrew his gaze, he turned to the regiment stationed under the wall.

Takashi had been a coward all his life, today he had that strength he needed inside his body, Commander Erwin had opened his eyes, now he should not be arrogant and focus on his own goals in silence.

Takashi had another chance to live and now he is Takashi Ackerman!

Everyone watched Takashi's lonely back disappear at the end of the street, and the atmosphere suddenly became a little weird.

Watching Takashi disappear, Armin was a bit stunned, he suddenly felt that Takashi's and Eren's words were a bit similar at this moment.

Somehow he understood that Eren and Takashi had very different personalities, but they could speak cheerfully and with determination in difficult times. They not only had the same goal, but also a similar trait, but that similarity had nothing to do with killing titans or freedom.

Mikasa silently watched the disappearing figure of Takashi, she had not been able to get along with Takashi, the person with the same last name as her that she did not know well. She knew it was his fault, she couldn't understand sometimes his behavior when Eren was in the way.

Christa watched him disappear down the street, her eyes suddenly becoming steady.

Jean was struggling with his hair, his expression changed several times and she didn't know what she was thinking.

However, on a street corner, a group of three had somber expressions. Annie said in a light voice, "There's no way he survived the hit he took, he should have died."

"Well I look at him very much alive, I still find it hard to trust that you did the job." Bertholdt said with a hesitant look.

Reiner unconsciously replied, "Yeah, maybe you didn't hit him like you mentioned yesterday afternoon."

"That's not possible..." Annie said dumbfounded.
