Dusk till Dawn

Five years later.

Boston, USA

A perky-looking red-haired girl knocked.

"Emma, you called?"

"Hey, Gabby, I need you to clear the rest of the evening. I don't want any disturbance. And I am going to stay the night here. "

"Okay, Emma. Do you want me to send dinner to your room? "

"Thanks, No. I will grab some McDonald's. It's just across the street."

"Umm, by the way, Mr Ratcliff called."

"Is it about the club or the hotel?"

"He said, he will talk to you in person."

"What that idiot has done now?"

She turned her chair from the window, where she was looking at the skylines and the twinkling lights of the city from her Skyscraper.

This is no more the Emma Fleur they all know. Now she has a new identity. Fleur owns a chain of five stars and clubs. Side business for Carter. Emma now looks over it.

She finished some work. Went to grab some food. As she was about to bite her cheeseburger, her phone chimes.

"Drop that burger. I NEED HELP. SOS. BEST FRIEND NEEDED."

"How on earth you know I am having a burger? Spying on me Eliott Ratcliff. Believe me, if that's another prank of yours you will be treated like a rat, Ratcliff, A LAB RAT."

"Okay, okay don't believe me. It's about one of your clubs on that the other side of the town."

"Proton? What happened? We just opened it."

"Come here you will know."

"It's ten already! It will take two hours."

"Then HURRY!"

"I swear El! I will kill you if it's a prank."

"Die!"

" DIEE to you as well."

She went to her apartment, which is a duplex on the top of her office. She quickly changes into something more fashionable which is casual, bossy also screams "I Own the club" She loses her hair which falls an inch above her shoulder. quick makeup.

after two hours of driving, she reaches there.

It's already the opening hour, but the club seems silent.

"Where is everyone? How bad the problem is?"

"Happy birthday!!" the disco lights turn on and party poppers go off, the display screen says "Happy birthday" on it. and the whole club is packed with people. And they all wish her in unison. The DJ announces it's the birthday of the owner and gets free drinks.

But Emma is fuming with anger at what she doesn't show. Among the crowd, she finds out the culprit who is behind all this.

" Eliott!"

"Eliott!"

El looks at her and knows the look. He knew he was dead today. He was being nice! She grabs his hand and pulls him out of the club.

"Hey birthday girl. want some cake?"

" You know that I don't like to celebrate my birthday. Why do you do this every year?"

"Cause, it's your birthday."

"El-"

"Emma, you have to stop worrying about it."

"About what? My parents don't even call me on my birthday. I can see a glance of my dad, my father only on the Annual Day of our company. He doesn't even appreciate me expanding his business. They don't care."

"They do."

"Don't bluff."

" Don't ruin my surprises by talking crap."

"Surprises? You planned multiple things?"

"Still got the observing skills, huh?"

"Still?"

"Yeah, you were before you-"

"Stop. Don't want to remember. So, what are the surprises?"

"Not now, tomorrow morning."

"Then I guess I'll head back home."

"Okay let's drive you home."

"No, you stay here and make sure everything is alright."

"Yeah, and I know I can't say no to you."

Emma flashed a smile and drove home. On her way home she checked her phone to see if there was any text from her parents. She wasn't expecting anything, and she was right not a single phone call or text.

This time she didn't go to her office for the night. She went directly home. She changed into pyjamas. She lay on her bed, still waiting for a text, call, or anything. Suddenly her phone chimed with a text. It's Eliott again.
