Faded

It was the trial day. As they found the weapon and nothing was on her side, Emma felt helpless. All the rumours going around about her not only her but also her family. At least she got Carter and Linda on her support. But who mostly support her was Elliot.

She was taken into the trial room. The Judge will read her the order.

Lieutenant G. Hunterwood admired Emma like her own daughter. As she is Carter's daughter, everyone had expectations. Lt. Hunterwood knows Emma from the day she was born. It was tough for him to declare Emma a traitor, a murderer, banish her from the Wolves, and become the number one suspect.

"Considering the evidence, Ms Fleur has betrayed one of our agents. Not only that she killed him brutally and the task they were given she also lost or might have sabotaged all the outcomes. it is a great loss for our agency. Considering all the circumstances and pleas Ms. Emma Fleur has been declared as a suspect and threat to Wolves. The jury has come to a decision that we will reboot her memory and soon she will be taken by the damage control team." He says all that with a very disappointed tone.

Now, Emma is going to stay in The Damage Control Bureau cell. Until she gets rebooted only parents and family can meet her.

But Chief Freeman cut her facilities. Only her parents can meet her now.

Also, Chief Freeman has multiplied the security there.

It's been two days. her parents and El is trying their best to prove that something more might happen that day. But most of the argument ends by saying the knife and the lighter have Emma's fingerprint on them.

On the other hand, Emma is still trying to remember what might have happened that day. But she can't remember after dinner or them falling asleep. Why can't she remember?

At that moment a commotion happens outside. She went near her cell door. When someone opens the pocket window of her cell. The screw fells, and in reflex she grabs her plate and mug. ready to fight. She can kill someone with a fork with her skills and years of training.

The person jumps into the room, and it was Elliot.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Ouh easy down there. It's not easy to break down here. Looks like your boyfriend's dad has done quite a brainstorm to stop you from escaping."

"El just drag your ass out of this place. Why are you even here? It would cost your job, memories, and life."

"Well, that's the reason you are escaping."

"What? No"

"No? Emma, I know you are not guilty of what they say. We are going to prove Freeman wrong."

"You know you are already dead. they have a camera here."

"Hi, Greg! Is all okay out there?"

"No one suspects a thing, but we have five minutes left," Greg says through the com.

"Wait, Greg? Did you include my brother? why are you not at school?"

"Well, sissy. I am on leave, and you are going to get out of that hell."

"Please El, you will listen to me, right? I want that. I want to get wipe my memory off."

"But we don't want you to forget us. Or the moment we all spend as best friends"

"Or great brother and sister bond."

"Look, if it's that special, to both of you. I'll be back. Just promise me both of you one thing. You two will never stop bringing me cappuccino every morning." she gets overwhelmed.

"Or building snowmen every Christmas," Greg says.

"And me destroying them," Elliot says.

"I think you have to leave now El. Umm; I can't hold on much." Greg says with a concerned voice.

"Go," Emma whispers as El pulled her into a hug.

" Oh man, it's a triple hug."

Finally, the day of rebooting comes.

As she lies on the operating table. The doctor checks up her vitals. They are okay. For one last moment, she hugged her mom, dad and Greg. Well, her mother is the one who invented a special kind of serum that helps to wipe the memory only of Wolves.

They attach the cathodes and Emma falls to sleep.
