Innocent

"Planet evolution?' Kyle stared at her with a hint of shock. He knew what she was saying, but this was the first time he'd ever heard of something like this. From the side he could also see Elise had a bit of confusion on her face, as this words also were new to hear.

"Wait- don't tell me you haven't heard of a planet evolving." Falcon was surprised Kyle had a confused look on his face. she had expected him to be familiar with this concept, since he wasn't new to the order of traveling from one planet to another.

"I do it's just.. earth hasn't evolved yet." Falcon was blown away by what Kyle just said, she stepped back a few feet her eyes broadened in shock.

'Is he joking? No.. he's really serious.' Falcon knew Kyle wasn't joking from the expression on his face, but she still couldn't believe it.

'How could a planet not have evolved yet?' it was very strange and rare to her, even the planet they're on had already evolved.

"But how? your planet is meant to have evolved." She muttered with wide eyes, but Kyle just slowly shook his head.

"Earth hasn't evolved yet, it's still in it's former state." Kyle plainly spoke. He hadn't thought of this yet, but now he began to ponder more on this topic. Planet evolution, could be considered the state in which a planet grows or other words evolved, into something better along with the things residing in it.

'It's never occured.' Never for once in the history of humanity, has it ever been recorded about the evolution of earth. Yes there were mind blowing earthquakes, theories on how it formed, and such. but that was it, no other strange pheunomenom occured.

"B-but then how could you use mana to teleport here? Only planets who've evolved can produce mana." Falcon asked, a questioning look on her face.

"Even I don't know myself, but somehow I did." Kyle confidently spoke leaving falcon more lost. He wasn't bothered in the slightest, only just intrigued just like everyone else. Since it was Lilith that did it he didn't know how she did, but he came up with a possible answer on how she could.

'Demon energy.' Kyle was still new to demon energy, as he still hadn't grasped enough knowledge concerning it. As a demon, demon energy was the primary feature for the skills they used, then mana being secondary. It was a bit strange to Kyle, since demon energy was related to the energy the celestial beings used, as he recalled from athos past memories.

His demon wife Lilith was a bit mysterious, since her past life also like his had been filled with complete failures and disappointments. But just like him she was given a second chance by Lucifer himself, which meant she was learning everything the devil knew. Kyle knew she'd plenty of scary skills many still unbeknownst to him, but he didn't expect her to have a planet teleporting skill.

Back on earth she'd told him earth contained demon energy, but she never mentioned mana. As to why? he himself was clueless to that! but nevertheless it was there. So he'd hypotentisized, the skill she used required demon energy. As to the cool down and number of times she could use it, well he'd have to ask her when he got home.

'Strange.. the existence of unevolved planets.' falcon mumbled to herself, such a thing was just too hard to comprehend. Her eyes glanced at Kyle a few times suspicion brewing, but she mentained her usual charming face.

"It's definitely strange your planet hasn't evolved yet, but who cares! As long as you can do it, then am fine with it." A smile slowly formed on her face, her curiosity in Kyle increased the more.

'I need to study him more.' She thought her glowing green eyes darting at Kyle. She was happy she made the right choice and didn't kill him immediately, as that would've been a big waste!

"Ok am done asking, you can ask me any two questions you want now." She faintly giggled, her three tails wagging slightly. There were a lot of things on Kyle's mind he wanted to ask her, but unfortunately he was only granted two questions.

"You said a planet can only produce mana once it has evolved. does that mean vaanderwood and everything in it evolved?" Kyle guessed vaanderwood and other evolved planets were once like earth, but wasn't quite sure so he wanted to hear it from falcon's mouth.

"Of course! Vaanderwood wasn't always like this, the clouds weren't dark and foggy." She sighed bitterly, remembering back to the stories she'd almost forgotten.

"I've only heard the stories but it happened centuries ago~"

"It was really peaceful, with clear skies vegetations and water. We foxes were still in our normal animal form, occupying this land that's Basically habitable for different kind of races, both visiting and residing."

"Humans, orcs, vampires, name it! Everything and everyone corresponded in harmony, until one dark day when tragedy struck." Falcon had a dark expression on her face, her eyes filled with regret.

"The grounds suddenly started shaking violently, causing small cracks on the floors surface which later lead onto bigger ones. The sky turned red then dark, repeating the same process. Everything happened so fast within the blink of an eye which we weren't prepared for, it was like the end of the world!" Falcon dramatically showcased. which made Kyle wonder, if that was going to be the same scenario that would happen to earth.

"But after a few minutes everything began calming down, the grounds stopped shaking but the skies were now dark and foggy. And that's when it happened, a strange new form of energy enveloped our bodies resulting in unexpectant transformations."

"Some animals here started turning into terrifying creatures, along with the other races living here. The humans were given powers to chanel skills, and otherworldly bodies. Only after a short while did we also learn, we slowly accepted our new world adapting to our new lifestyle." Falcon finished her story, Kyle and Elise eyes were now fixed upon her. Even Felix had a dismayed look, on his utterly expressionably face.

"H-how didn't I know all this~" Elise silently muttered. She had never for once heard her parents talk about this, she was born not too long so her knowledge about vaanderwood and onwood were keen.

'I didn't know so much could happen when a planet was evolving.' He pondered what sort of presence caused the planet's evolution, as falcon didn't state any form of trigger.

Nodding his head, Kyle proceeded to his second question. "Why isn't vaanderwood and onwood merged together, even when they're on the same planet?" Kyle had wanted to know this reason for a while now. If Kyle heard correctly, falcon said after vaanderwood evolution the sky became dark and foggy. But Lilith had told him onwood was the opposite, with clear sunny skies and beautiful sceneries. Since this planet was called vaanderwood entirely, he didn't expect some parts of it would be dark while some had light.

"Haha!" Falcon chuckled lightly. "Did you think everything was bound to be normal?" The beautiful young falcon raised a brow, beginning another tale.

"Every one was getting used to our new planet, happily accustomed to our various powers. Slowly but surely we found ways to evolve and strengthen ourselves together, but with great power comes great responsibility!"

"The humans became greedy wanting to dominate the land, claiming power alone for themselves. We rebelled but our forces and strengths were weaker than theirs, resulting in a great amount of our forces loss. We fled In an attempt to preserve our race, but we were hunted by the humans."

"It was a battle for survival for us, leading to many years of battle and sacrifes between us and the humans. Only about a century ago was a peace treaty signed, as creatures we were feared and despised in their eyes." Falcon frowned looking at elise. Kyle could see her aura, flow out from her body more aggressively. Kyle thought falcon would do something stupid, but she just shook her head continuing her story.

"So we were forcefully casted to the dark bitter side of vaanderwood, while they bathed in the sunshine. They then called their new settlement onwood, while we were left in the shadows slowly building ourselves over the years." Hearing the origination of how vaanderwood evolved, and the separation of onwood and vaanderwood, Kyle now finally understood what had transpired.

Humans were greedy beings by nature, they also desired to rule and conquer so it wasn't a new thing to him. At first he'd thought the fox people were the true monsters, but he now understood it was the humans. The fox people just wanted to coexist but never got the chance, and were instead chased from their home.

"That's two!" Falcon childishly said, snapping him out from his daze. He wanted to ask her some more questions, but he would've have to reserve that for another time.

"Thanks- wait! i just remembered, you didn't say you're name." Falcon chuckled awkwardly.

"It's Kyle and she's elsie." Kyle didn't need to worry giving his name out to falcon, but he did tweak Elise name a little to avoid trouble.

"Ok~ thanks Kyle. It's been a pleasure talking with you." Falcon nodded her head a little, to which Kyle also replicated. She then turned her back, walking away from the pair with a smile on her face. Kyle with much thoughts in his head watched with a blank face, as her back slowly faded away.

Felix then guided them through the village, under the many strange glares of the villagers to their cell, which was just a few meters away from the village. It's structure was made from hard wooden bamboo sticks, perfectly carved into a not so tall wooden building

Even the bars of the cells were made from this strange bamboo sticks, but they weren't like every other typical bamboo sticks. They had a unique dark colour, in contradiction to the light butter colour they normally had. Kyle could feel the hardness of this black bamboo, was a lot stronger than most of the iron bars on earth. There weren't much cells inside, because all the other cells were empty.

"Is there anything you want me to do master?" Felix whispered in a dialogue tone slamming the dark wooden bars shut, locking it. There were other fox men and women guarding the outside, while some patrolled the inside.

"Not for now. Just stay close and wait for my order." Felix didn't say a word and left the prison, leaving Kyle and Elise inside.

Sitting down to the ground Kyle was still processing what he'd just learnt, his head was hurting as he was having a headache. He could see Elise had also sat besides him her face a bit pale, she was undeniable thinking about somethings.

'So many things feels so wrong~' Kyle inwardly thought, the circle of life was just so complex to understand.

"I can't believe all that happened." Elise suddenly spoke in a low voice, crouching her head down. Kyle could see her body shaking a bit, and he could hear her heartbeat pumping faster by the second.

"H-how could we treat them like that." She stuttered a bit, a ball of tear rolling down her eyes.

All her life her parents had hidden the truth from her, never for once bringing the topic up. They'd forbidden her from ever stepping foot out from the castle walls, restricting her movements completely.

As a little girl she was curious about what lied beyond the kingdom afar in the dark valley, and as she she grew her interest also deepened. One day she'd asked her parents but they immediately repelled the thought from her mind tainting it black, placing her under heavy surveillance.

"Hey~" Kyle drew her to his shoulders, placing her in his warm embrace. He could feel her body all tensed up, and a bit hot.

"It's not your fault. you weren't even born that time." Kyle softly said.

"B-but-"

"No buts! Don't beat yourself up for nothing. You're innocent in my eyes." He planted a soft kiss on her head, causing her body to tremble slightly. He then brushed her long cyan her hair slowly, caressing her heavy shoulders staying in each other's warmth.

Kyle could understand Elise was going through a lot, she was the heir to the throne which she didn't want. She had also decided to run away from all her past life and memories, just to be with him.

He understood that feeling. To not matter at all, to be treated differently because of the way you looked, always being alone.

"You don't have to follow me." Kyle calmly said, which made Elise break from his embrace. an unhinged look planted on her face.

"Am just saying.. you don't have to give up all that because of me. You have a bright future as the next ruler and I promise to be by your side, supporting you through the way."

A soft smile slowly formed on Elise bewildered face, as she then leaned in to Kyle planting her lips to his. Her soft breast pressing against his hard chest, under the sexy blue dress she wore.

"I've already made up my mind." Elise said in determined tone, already making up her mind. Kyle just nodded with a smile. he'd thought he was selfishly depriving her from her next, but her words reassured him.

"Are we still going on with the plan?" Elise tenderly asked, making Kyle think about his plan. Their purpose for coming here was to train but Kyle also had an hidden agenda, to level up dark flames skill. Time was running out on his head, and he needed to get powerful as fast as he could.

With his plan, this was going to be the fastest way to level his skill up and also increase his level. But hearing falcon words made him feel guilty, as he also recollected the reward a group of fox people bestowed to him.

"To be honest.. I don't really know now." Kyle sighed heavily, his heart fluttering a bit. Elise could see guilt plastered all over Kyle's face, as she asked him that question.

"You don't have to feel guilty about them, they would've done the same thing." She softly said, her enchanting ocean blue eyes sparkling a bit as she stared at him.

"You're right." Kyle was inspired by Elise. He'd been pondering, on whether to continue his plan or not.

'Women are strange.' Kyle chuckled, staring at Elise who smiled back.

'The strong must survive.' That was the basic law of nature, the strong would take whatever they needed to survive trampling over the weak.
