a new beginning

"Am sorry for earlier." Kyle apologized to which lumia who just nodded. She knew he'd been through a lot, so she didn't judge him.

"What are these?" Kyle asked raising his hand, indicating the strange blue cuffs placed on his wrists. He could feel the cuffs were somehow affecting his demon energy and his skills, as he'd tried channeling it earlier.

"Oh! those are power cuffs." Lumia chuckled weirdly, scratching her head. "I didn't know if I could trust you, so I had to place those on you and your friend."

"Power cuffs?" Kyle muttered softly, a look of confusion on his face staring at the blue strange cuff.

"Y-you do know what those are. Right?" She could see a confused look on Kyle's face, as she said 'power cuffs'. She didn't know where he came from, but she'd at least thought they had power cuffs there.

"Where I come from we don't have stuff like these." Kyle said. Apart from earth, vaanderwood was also some kind of remote planet as there was nothing like technology, internet, floating rocks, or any advanced stuff like that.

"Oh~" Lumia saw the look on Kyle's face was serious.

'How could they not have power cuffs.' She thought. there were so many planets that had power cuffs including her's, so it came as a surprise to her when Kyle said his planet didn't have one of those.

"May I ask where your from?" Curious and tired of waiting, she finally asked Kyle.

"I came from earth, but I was transported here from another planet called vaanderwood."

"Earth.. vaanderwood." She was confused when Kyle mentioned earth and vaanderwood, as she hadn't ever heard of those two planets.

"D-did I miss new ones?" She muttered raising her left hand, there was a white watch wrapped around her wrist. Touching it a holographic screen, showing the list of countless names of planets appeared.

'Earth..' scrolling down, she couldn't find any planet called earth. Searching for the other, she also got the same result. Kyle just watched her crazily scroll through the screen, he could hear her mutter under her breath as she didn't find any traces of earth or vaanderwood, which was strange.

"Wait! You travelled planets! B-but where's your ship?" She asked, as she couldn't see any signs of the ship they came in with.

'They couldn't have used a portal. No, only far advanced planets would have that.' She mumbled in her mind. She knew they couldn't have crashed landed, cause she would've seen signs of It.

"We came through a portal." Kyle shrugged, making lumia's eye go wide. Many thoughts crossed her head all at once, as she stared at Kyle.

"But how's it even possible. I couldn't find any traces of your planet, and only advanced technological planets possess access to portal traveling."

"What do you mean you can't find earth and vaanderwood?" Kyle asked. he'd guessed she had some type of planet locator device, since this new planet he was on seems to be far advanced in technology, than the last two he'd been in.

"Well there are two possible options, if I couldn't find a planet on my device here." She held her chin, her head bent downwards a bit.

"The first being the planet hasn't evolved yet, or is still lacking in technical knowledge." Though earth hadn't evolved yet he didn't think they lacked in technology, cause they'd developed many mind blowing inventions. But vaanderwood however had evolved to it's first stage, but from the little time he'd been there he knew they were lacking in technical areas.

"The second reason is.. the planet has been destroyed, or doesn't exist anymore." She said in a calm manner, causing Kyle's pupil to sink in.

'D-destroyed.. doesn't e-xist?' He didn't know if it was possible for a planet to be destroyed by Lucifer, though the thought wasn't impossible. He'd heard of planets exploding in outer space on the news by scientists, and he always wondered why. But now that he'd been exposed to a whole new world, his reasoning from before had broadened more.

"Anyways those are the two possible explanations, but it might be due to some other reason. maybe a glitch or something." Kyle hoped the third option was true, witnessing Lucifer's power first hand he didn't know what terrifying things he could do.

"Where am I?"

"You're in planet orbo, and not to far away is where am from."

'Orbo huh?' It was a strange name for a planet, but a lot of strange things had been happening to him lately.

"My name is Kyle and her's is falcon." Kyle said which caught lumia by surprise, she didn't expect him to say their names to her yet but she was happy he did.

"Ok Kyle let-"

'Beep! beep! beep!'

"Shit! we're going to be late for curfew." She exclaimed, checking her watch.

"We have to go now, can you carry her?" She asked to which Kyle nodded. he'd regained some of his strength, so he could easily carry falcon's body which wasn't that heavy.

Placing her on his shoulders, he stepped out of the cave with lumia behind. the first view which caught his eyes, were the floating water that sparkled brightly under the night. His jaw dropped a bit staring at them enchanting all who looked, he also saw some heavy rocks floating in the air too.

"You must be wondering how it's possible." Lumia chuckled, to which Kyle just nodded slightly.

"Well the air here in planet orbo is very light and the gravity low, so most objects without mana would be lifted in the air floating aimlessly."

"Wait you do know what mana is right?"

"Yes." Kyle said. he'd already learnt of mana far back, but what was confusing to him was how they could use mana to keep something in place.

'She didn't say a skill, but mana.' He knew didn't know why he could suddenly feel mana, but he knew this place had high amounts of mana than demon energy. Checking his status it was still the same, as it only showed demon energy and not mana.

Walking a bit more, Kyle admired the beautiful sceneries created by the ponds of water, but what thrilled him more was the sweet peace he felt. It didn't take 20minutes as they finally reached their location, Kyle's jaw dropped entirely seeing the most amazing scene he'd ever seen in his life.

"Let me officially welcome you to lumia kingdom." Before him was a large, no! metropolitan city hovering just a few feets above the ground. The city was illuminated by colourful rays of bright lights shining brightly, the buildings were like nothing he'd ever seen. Earth's skyscrapers and technology was trash compared to this city's, as the architecture and designs were just like those in the sci-fi movies he watched.

"Are you alright?" Lumia asked, seeing his breathing had gotten a bit rough.

"Yes." Kyle muttered softly, pain in his heart. He thought this was a perfect place to bring his women, if what happened didn't happen.

"Are you the owner of this city?" Judging from the name lumia kingdom and her's lumia, Kyle pinpointed she was the founder of this establishment or she had something to do with it.

"No. At least not yet. Am training to be the next in line ruler." Kyle's heart ached more thinking about Elise, she was meant to be the next ruler of onwood but she chose him instead.

'None of this would've happened to her if she didn't meet me.' Kyle sighed, his destiny was blurry and the path to it was filled with destruction and pain.

"Come on~" They stepped into a tube containing about four individuals each, a faint white light enveloped them as they were beamed up into the entrance of the city.

The inside of the city was even more beautiful than the outside, different holograms promoting variety of things were on display, trains that moved on light wave blurred across their respective lines to and fro the city. He could see the people here wore different strange styles of clothing, each wearing the same watch as lumia except theirs was blue in colour.

Following lumia, they then headed to a light wave train still loading passengers. he could see about two guards there, wearing battle suits both holding some type of intergalactic rifles.

"Here, wear this." Lumia handed him two pairs of the white watch, placing it on his and falcon's wrist.

"Stop right there!" One of the male guards stopped them, staring at them with a frown on his face.

"Why are you dressed like that?" He asked glancing back behind lumia.

"We're sorry to disturb you, but we mean no harm." Lumia changed her voice, to that of another female entirely.

"Yeah, I'll be the judge of that. Take off your cloak slowly!" He shouted gripping his gun tightly aiming at lumia's head, while his female partner already had her gun pointed at Kyle.

'What kind of weapons are those?' Kyle thought looking at them. he could see the same strange blue coloured rock, placed on the battle suits and the rifles they carried.

"We don't have much time, these are presents for the king." Lumia said but she immediately received a hot slap across her face, causing her to fall to the floor.

"Useless peasants! give me one reason, I shouldn't blow your brains right now." He smirked grinning evily.

"As I said, we have to see the king." She raised her arm, with the white watch speaking in her normal tone.

"P-princess lumia.. am so sorry please forgive me, I didn't recognize it was you." He stuttered, bowing his head as he realized who it was.

'So she's a princess to.. what are the odds?'

"It's nothing you were just doing your job."

"B-but why are you out this late, it's almost curfew."

"I was off on official matters which isn't your concern. If you don't mind now we'll be stepping in."

"O-of course." He bowed as she stepped into the train with Kyle following along, the male guard looking at him had a disgusted look on his face, but he didn't dare express it.

Walking to two unoccupied seats, they then sat down on the comfortable white chairs lined up in rows. The train now filled up shut the doors, as it hovered up a bit shooting forward like a beam of light.

"M-my face." Kyle muttered touching his face, staring at the train mirror opposite. He could now see his face had changed to that of an hippo, while falcon's was that of wolf.

"Am sorry, but I had to disguise you guys." She uttered staring ahead. Kyle was relieved this was just a disguise, as he couldn't possibly bare to remain this hideous.

"You're a princess." Kyle suddenly said.

"Ha.. You could say so, but I don't like to use the word princess. It makes me feel weak and fragile, like am some kind of baby." She grunted in frustration.

"I know how you feel."

"Y-you do?"

"I had someone close just like you, she just wanted to be free." Kyle chuckled slightly. "Let me give you a piece of advice, enjoy the little things. You'll never know when it would end." He said making lumia stare at him weirdly for a while.

'Just what happened to him?'

The train now stopped as a ding sound sounded with the doors opening, they were currently walking towards the tallest building yet. Kyle could see large amounts of guards surrounding the outside of the building, but it wasn't a problem for them as Lumia raised her white watch. Verifying it, they then let them pass as they entered into the massive building.

Looking at how wide and tall the building looked, Kyle thought it was just like a smaller version of the metropolitan city. It was filled with so many things on the different floors they passed, as beautiful as it was so was the tightness of the security.

Taking the glass elevator which moved outside the building, they had finally reached the top of the floors which was precisely the 272 floor. Walking out the room was filled with people, and Kyle could also see some aliens he'd never seen before. The room was illuminated with different coloured glowing stones, placed on the ceiling of the floor.

"Don't say anything and just follow me." She said walking forward, Kyle could see some stared at him for a sec before averting their gazes. He could see this floor was much larger and spacious than the rest, as hundreds of people were here eating and drinking from the many foods, spread across the long table.

"Lumia! where have you been?" A man with brown hair wearing a black and gold robe, designed with distinct patterns embraced her hugging her closely to his body.
