The hunger games(part 1)

"Father.." she bowed her head slightly, hugging him back. It didn't come as a surprise to Kyle seeing her call him father, as soon as he entered Lumia kingdom he could feel it. Mana all around, he'd thought it was crazy but seeing the various things here powered with that strange blue rock, he came to a conclusion that was what they called a mana stone.

Back on earth he'd read about mana stones, they were usually small rocks which contained certain amounts of mana in them. Their coloured varied but it was usually blue like that of the oceans colour, this small stones were tremendously great and helpful, as most MC often relied on this treasure to breakthrough to the next stage.

'Their aura's.. it isn't like anything back in vaanderwood.' He could sense large amounts of mana, protruding from their bodies. But what was strange to him was that the mana they excluded, was different from normal as it was clearly visible in the air.

"And who are these?" troy lumia's father glanced behind her, staring at Kyle and falcon disguised as other aliens.

"I found them wandering outside the kingdom, so I captured them and brought them as gifts for you." Troy had a smile looking at them, he was inspecting them from head to toe. He then stopped after looking at them, contemplating on something a frown forming on his face.

"I already have enough peasants at my disposal, these ones aren't worthy to stay here."

"B-but father! I specially selected them myself, they would make fine peasants for you." Lumia tried to persuade her father. She knew if she didn't find them other guards would, and the consequences would be dire for them. But luckily she did, she was compassionate and had a kind heart so she wanted to help them, after hearing a bit of their stories.

"No. I've already decided, they should be executed immediately." Troy ordered with a cold face, he didn't care a bit about their lives as they meant nothing to him. They were just peasants, and their purpose in life here was to serve if they were lucky. but if it was on a bad day, then he would have their heads cut off.

The guards in the room holding advanced space rifles, then advanced towards Kyle and falcon to apprehend them. Kyle knew he wasn't any match for them as he was just outnumbered, even if falcon was conscious the situation would still be the same.

"Wait! Throw them into the dungeon, let them participate in the hunger games." Lumia shouted stopping her father in his tracks.

"And why would I do that? They haven't earned the right to live." Troy casually said. he wasn't gracious to give them such opportunity, to participate in such a breathtaking annual tournament.

"They look useless, I bet they wouldn't even last ten seconds in the maze." Troy mockingly said, with a smug look.

"A-at least it's only fair, if you give them a chance to fight for their lives father." Lumia pleaded, she wasn't just going to let Kyle and falcon die without giving them a fighting chance.

"Where's your compassion and love you once had father."

"Am the king! I don't have any love and compassion." Troy angrily said shaking his head. He was meant to ensure the safety of lumia kingdom, and he had to do so with an iron fist.

"T-thing's would be different if Mom was still alive." Lumia uttered in a sad tone tears slipping out her eyes as she sobbed gently, looking at her Troy's heart was filled with pain seeing his daughter crying. The loss of his wife took a huge toll on him and his daughter, as he cut off from people entirely caging his heart in a cold ice block. Whatever compassion he had was buried buried with his dead wife, but he loved his daughter dearly.

"Am sorry.." he softly said. "I'll honour your wish. throw them in the dungeon, and prepare them for the hunger games." He ordered, as the guards nodded. Kyle then glanced at lumia with a thank you nod, before slowly walking out with the guards.

"I believe in you~" Lumia muttered to which Kyle heard, he was going to use his second chance to it's fullest, and fight with everything he has.

"I hope you're right daughter." Troy muttered, softly placing his hands on his daughter's shoulder.

"Am certain they stand a chance." She confidently said.

"If you say so. But if they die, their blood would be on your hands."

....

"Move!" Kyle still carrying falcon was shoved front by one of the five guards, heading downwards through the lift in which they came in. They then stopped at the first floor, as they then headed to a candy machine at the far left corner of the room.

One of the guards then brought out the mana rock, placing it at a small hole besides the machine. Before Kyle's eye the stone was then absorbed into the hole, as the candy machine then shifted to the side revealing a hidden passage.

"Move peasant!" They were then lead down through the stairs in the hidden passage, various mana stones lit up the cramp passage illuminating it. Reaching the end there was a door in front, pulling the lit up torch beside the door it opened, protruding backwards.

Walking forward Kyle saw various cells lined up at the both sides, containing different varieties of aliens.

"Look everyone, there's some fresh meat."

"Yeah they sure look tasty. I wonder how they'd taste in my mouth."

"Let me at them! let me!" There were different shouts and chatters from the prisoners, banging the metal bars as Kyle passed. One even went as far as to grab Kyle with it's long tentacle, he was fast but Kyle was more faster.

Grabbing it's tentacle he fiercely pulled it, slamming the octopus creature to the metal bars, knocking him out immediately. The chatters and shouts abruptly came to a halt, seeing Kyle raw power. even the guards had a shocked expression under their space helmets, as they could see the metal bars extend more.

"M-move." They stuttered, their authoritative tone mellowing down a bit. The duo was then led into an empty cell by the right, closing the door the guards then took their various positions in the passage.

Placing falcon to the floor Kyle then sat down on the hard ground, there was many thoughts on his head as he stared out.

'Why do I have a feeling this tournament is just another way to kill us.' He had an idea, about what this so called hunger games was. It was mostly people who were kidnapped or forced because of one reason or the order, to fight to the death in a large arena filled with various difficult obstacles. At least that what he'd seen, from the various psychological movies he'd watched back on earth.

'It doesn't matter, nothing's going to stand in my way.'

.....

The sun shined brightly marking the dawn of another day, up in the 234 floor the large crowds of people were then guided down to the 14 floor by the guards. Standing behind a metal safe about 7 feet tall, encased with hard titanium making the shield impenetrable.

There was a holographic screen beside the massive safe, typing some letters the safe made a metallic hissing sound and with a loud clang, the mechanism turned opened.

They then walked into the safe as ahead was a huge stadium, which could contain millions of people. it stood at a towering 17 feet tall, with a non lacking width of about 10 meters wide.

The various people and aliens then made their way to the various seat on the upper section of the arena, soon many other people began coming. In under 30 minutes the large arena had been filled up completely with people, but still more people came standing outside of the filled arena.

There were different cheers of joy, sadness, anger, and much more, as the crowd were siked more than ever. Troy then stood up from his seat at the very top of the arena, different advanced flying drones were on him displaying his figure, on a holographic screen where everyone could see.

"Ladies and gentlemen! young and old, inhabitants and guests, it is my pleasure to welcome to the 54th annual hunger games." King Troy excitedly shouted, garning a much louder cheer from the crowd.

"Yeah bring it on!"

"I live for this!"

"Blood.. blood! we need blood!" The people roared out their different opinions, filling the enormous arena with vibrating screams.

"I understand your impatient, and the 54th tournament will soon begin without any further delay." He smiled taking his seat, giving out orders to the guard.

"Bring out the prisoners."

"Yes sir!" They shouted heading downwards, to bring the prisoners out.

"Control your face daughter, it looks like you're having a heart attack." Troy chuckled softly, seeing his daughter in a panicked state.

"Easy for you to say, when you're not fighting for your life." She retorded, causing Troy's face to contort into a frown.

"Am giving the people what they want, and besides my kind heart has given this worthless peasants a chance to live."

"By sending them to their own deaths?"

"Sighs! The world is cruel lumia, very soon you'll understand." He ended the conversation, staring down below at the vast crowds of people roaring in union.

....

Kyle had stayed up through the whole night, falcon had woken up not too long ago as Kyle then explained to her, the details of what transpired.

"S-so am on another planet!" She excitedly shouted with a crazed smile. Kyle had expected a worse reaction from her, but surprisingly she was excited.

"D-didn't you hear any of what I just said?" Kyle asked, just to be clear she heard what he'd been saying.

"Who cares! haha! as far as we were captured on another planet, then it's fine by me." Falcon then lazily layed down with a satisfied expression, Kyle stared at her weirdly seeing her calm attitude. He'd expected to see some kind of sad reaction from her, but it was the opposite and he didn't blame her. She wasn't part of his harem so it wasn't her business, she just wanted to escape from vaanderwood that's why she clinged to Kyle.

"So what are you going to do now that you've gotten what you wanted?" Falcon's eye opened as Kyle said that. she didn't plan what was going to happen next, as she'd just wanted to leave vaanderwood.

"I don't know. Now that you've mentioned it, I've never really thought about it."

"Our business is finished, you're free to go." Kyle coldly said. he'd completeted his own part of the bargain, so there was nothing binding him and falcon anymore.

"You're right in a way. But I haven't completed my end of the bargain yet, I still have to help you grow stronger. And besides, I might have to help you start your harem again." She seductively said staring at Kyle.

"Y-you-" Kyle fidgeted slightly. he couldn't tell from her face if she was serious or not, as she really did a good job at acting.

"That is of course, if you can satisfy all my needs." She giggled softly, causing Kyle to sigh in defeat. It had been a while since he'd been teased like this by his women, but his women weren't with him anymore and he didn't even know if they were still alive.

"I believe in you Kyle." Amidst his doubt falcon's encouraging words filled his ear, clearing the negative thoughts he focused on his new primary goal, to get stronger.

"All of you get out now!" The guards voices resounded in the hall, as they clanged at the metal bars.

'It's time.' Kyle stood up with falcon, they could hear the sounds of cells opening with receding footsteps. Soon a guard came to them, he saw they were already up. the male just stared at him lifelessly, while the female creeped him out a bit with her demented smile.

Shrugging he then opened the cell by placing a card to a small screen, the colour then changed from red to green. seeing the cuffs were still on their wrists, he opened the cell throwing a blindfold to them.

"Wear it." The two then obiediently wore the blindfold, as they were then led to the arena.

Walking out Kyle could hear the enormous shouts, from what looked like thousands of people. He didn't think it would be this huge, but still he expected nothing less.

Removing the blindfold, their eyes were met with the countless of people sitting round in the huge stadium. He was a bit stunned seeing such many people, but it didn't faze him. He could also see some of the prisoners from earlier standing besides them, all handcuffed with the blue power cuffs.

"Silence! silence!" A voice loudly spoke echoing throughout the stadium, looking at the screen kyle could see king troy about to address the crowd.

"As we all know this is the 54th annual hunger games, but there's a twist. For years we've been doing things the same but I've decided to spice things up a bit, this year's hunger games wouldn't last for just today. No! it's lasting four days straight, with seven rounds per day." The crowd roared more as king troy unveiled that huge announcement, but king troy wasn't done yet as he still had more to say.

"The rules are still the same, there are no rules! Each contestants would head into the dreaded maze with a partner, where they would be faced with different challenging obstacles. The survivors of today would fight Tomorrow under the same stipulation until the last day, where the remaining two teams will battle themselves in the maze."

"With that said, let the 54th annual hunger games begin!"
