It had been three weeks, but it felt like three months since we had been crashing with Lauren. 


She didn’t seem to mind, though. I got more familiar with Will as he came and went, visiting Lauren. Jaxon seemed to like him too. I was still ordered on bed rest and I was starting to get a little stir crazy. It was hard to do nothing but lie in bed. I couldn’t even properly play with Camilla. 


I watched as Jaxon paced around the living room on the phone. I lay on the couch, trying not to stretch too much as I reached for the bowl of grapes. 


"Okay, yes, okay, great, thank you so much," Jaxon finally said as he hung up the phone. He looked at me with a strange smile. "The house is ready for us now. We can go back home anytime."
