I never lost them

"Not this." Lyre shook his head.

"Like this?" Rain rubbed his tongue gently on Lyre's lower lip as if expecting him to pull off, but Lyre didn't do that.

Rain broke off and gazed at Lyre with half-lidded eyes.

Lyre lay there, with his eyes locked on Rain.

"You are beautiful," Rain's eyes locked with Lyre's mouth.

He pulled Lyre closer and kissed him deeper than the first kiss.

Rain's hands brushed Lyre's face, his shoulder, and his arms. Feeling, caressing. It was never too much, and never firm. He treated the merman like a glass doll that might be broken should he not be treated well.

They parted, and Rain unbuttoned the first buttons of his shirt.

Lyre's breath hitched in his throat as is watched Rain, trying to know what he was doing.

Rain sat down on the bed and pulled Lyre down next to him.

Rain kissed Lyre as he gazed into Lyre's wide, expressive eyes.

It felt as if Lyre was looking into the depth of hell, with how fiery Rain's eyes were.
