In the Dark Academia

All Yami remembered was the thumping of feet, cries from Ophelia, her two friends, Jae and Yuki, staring at her in horror as she was taken out. After that, it was complete darkness and it was actually quite peaceful. She couldn't hear or see anything for a few hours, and she imagined herself in the Light Academia, safe with her friends. Until she woke up, she dreamed this was reality.

"Welcome to class, and today we'll be learning all about the Light spells. Now, I forbid you all to go to the Dark Academia, however, there are a few conditions when you can go," Ophelia explained as Yami, Jae, and Yuki sat down together in the class. "You can only speak with them if we are doing exchange groups, as when our academies combine for special causes," The whole class nodded. Pretty easy to understand.

A student raised her hand. "What if we have friends in the Dark Academia? Won't we want to speak with them, miss?" Ophelia smiled warmly at the girl and walked towards her. As she walked by, Yami could smell the ophelia flower scent Ophelia herself carried. This woman truly was an angel…

Ophelia kneeled down to stare eye-to-eye at the girl and hugged her. Yami could see that the girl was quite surprised. "I understand. I have that pain. I am so sorry, but it is the rules. I am not the main leader, nor am I a goddess, so I am afraid that there is no way to see them. Unless is the exchange groups period which is assessed five times per month," Ophelia explained. The girl nodded and smiled. Ophelia walked to the front of the room.

"Thank you, miss!" The girl said, and the class continued. Yami felt good inside, that this was her destiny and this school was her home. Ophelia, Jae, and Yuki. All part of her life. It was all going to be okay.

This all isn't going to be okay, Yami thought immediately as she woke up from her few-hour sleep. She was being carried in a cage, and since she was quite claustrophobic this did not help the matter. The agent that was holding her looked down and glared, his goggles looking black as night in the lowering sun. "Don't move, kid," He barked, and Yami attempted to sit down without bending her legs. At least six other agents were around her, keeping watch while also taking her to the academy. "And, kid, we have your bags," He explained, but Yami didn't feel any better.

For one thing, she had just been taken out of the Light Academia, for what? She hated it and was broken inside, and felt like she was going to burst and kill all of these agents. She hated them. Though it was not their fault, she still was mad and emotions take over people's bodies at times. Yami was going through that.

Instead of there being a nice meadow with flowers, the air had turned foggy and more humid. Yami noticed the trees were not whole, they had several holes in them and she could swear she heard the howls of wolves in the sundown. The sky shone dark red, and the clouds were coming in, causing it to be even more darker. Like they needed it to be.

These stereotypes are so weird. And unfair. Just because you are in the Dark Academia does not mean you deserve scraggly trees, fog, and darkness. That's not what everyone's like! Yami thought as she sat in the cage, tearing up. She felt so sad inside. It wouldn't reach depression of course, but she still was feeling pretty sad and she just wanted to see her friends again. If what happened in her dreams about the exchange groups thing was true, Yami could see Jae and Yuki again. But what would they think of her then?

A few thirty minutes later, Yami was still in her cage, and she felt quite claustrophobic now. She was getting light-headed and sweaty. She felt extremely dizzy, and only one agent, a male one, noticed this.

"Hey Dizu, I think she should get out of the cage, she looks sick," The young agent said. The man, Dizu, who was carrying Yami in the cage, shook his head.

"You're so immature, Kishimaro. We listen to Boss Ema's orders. That's that, and it's businesss," Dizu said gruffly. Kishimaro, the young agent, sighed and crouched to speak with Yami.

"So, you're claustrophobic, like me, right?" The boy, Kishimaro, asked. I nodded, afraid speaking would cause a bad fight. He smiled. "We're pretty similar. And you know you can talk, right? It's allowed," Yami shook her head and suddenly felt more at ease. This agent was far kinder than the others. It was very comforting.

"No, it's not!" Dizu said gruffly. Kishimaro rolled his eyes and swatted his hands in an annoyed fashion. Yami smiled and continued not to speak, still a bit worried. The Dizu guy looked quite strong and she was afraid he would injure her if she did anything. Soon they had started walking again. In the distance, Yami could see a large building. It was almost exactly like the Light Academia, but just darker and a bit more weary.

These stereotypes? Still way unfair. Yami thought again. She knew that she had missed the opening ceremony for this Academia, but it was not like she cared at the most. This Academy was her most dreaded place, but she would, you know, try to make the best of it by not caring of it in the least.

Dizu dropped her cage on the ground and opened the door. Yami came out, wanting to actually move her body for once. However, since she had not walked at all, she could barely stand without falling. Kishimaro helped her up a few times, then she got the hang of it.

Another agent, a brunette woman, dropped the bag on Yami's feet carelessly and walked towards the rest of the agents. Yami took this as a get away now type of thing, so she went away and walked to the front doors of the Academia and turned around to see the agents walking away. However, the young agent Kishimaro, stood there waving.

"Farewell, Yamisora! We will meet again!" He called, and Yami smiled uncomfortably. She didn't feel very good right then. She knocked on the great big doors as Kishimaro caught up with the rest of the agents. She was alone now.

The door opened up to reveal a dark room. It was similar to that cathedral-like room in the Light Academia, but dark and only candles lit the walls. It felt like a haunted house, believe it or not. Stereotypes…again. She thought. As she stepped on the floor, it creaked. It was much less pleasant than the Light Academia, but it wasn't as bad as she thought…until a ghost appeared and scared the life out of her!

"AHHH!" She screamed, and the ghost rolled its eyes. It was a woman ghost, but in a few seconds it transformed into a solid human figure, which creeped Yami out even more. The girl had bright red hair and striking yellow eyes. She had quite jagged canines (the two teeth besides your two top front teeth) and her skin was ghostly pale.

"Didn't see you at the ceremony. Tell me, please, girlie," She said, and Yami felt that she had to explain to this girl or she would be hurt. Or injured. So she explained to this stranger why she was there. As she said this, they walked to a room.

"I see, what's your name again?" The girl asked, and Yami thought of a good thing to say back. She didn't have a sharp tongue, but it was worth a shot.

"Well, what's yours?" She asked, and the the cackled.

"I'm Misato Haniko, and I'd like to your name now." She huffed, and Yami smiled. Maybe the people at the Dark Academia weren't so bad. They seemed actually to be nice. Well, Misato did.

"I'm Yami Hoshikiri." She said proudly, though her name was nothing special. Misato nodded and she led Yami inside of a very large, circular room with a single desk that was painted black and rather big. There was a chair, and there must've been a person sitting in it because the chair turned around, revealing a young woman with white hair and red eyes as blood. She had lips that were curved slightly upward, and she had a fine black, magestic dress on that had dark sparkles around it. She looked like Ophelia, but different in color. Sisters? Yami thought.

"Oh, you must be Yamisora Hoshikiri, the student who got mixed up, right? It's an honor." She said, placing a hand on her heart. With the other hand, she reached out to shake Yami's. Yami widened her eyes, surprised this woman was actually quite kind to be in the Dark Academia. Misato stood behind Yami, kneeling. It must be the Headmistress of the Dark Academia!

"Y-yes! I am! And you are the Headmistress? Right?" Yami asked, awkwardly. The woman smiled with her eyes closed and nodded. She is so nice! Instead of thinking this only in her head, she also said it aloud. The woman widened her eyes.

"You think so? Thank you. In this Academia, I like to be kind to everyone, I try to. No matter how evil they become." She said. Yami tilted her head sideways. Wasn't she supposed to be evil too..?

"Your, um, name?" Yami asked, and the Headmistress slapped her head with her hand. She looked embarrassed that she had forgotten to introduce herself.

"Oh. I'm so sorry! My name is Rosa and as you may know, I'm Ophelia's twin sister! You have met her, supposedly because you were there for a few minutes, correct?" Rosa asked. Yami nodded. "Now, let's bring you to your dorm. Misato, lead the way." Misato nodded.

For a few minutes they wandered the empty halls, and finally made their way to a medium-sized room with a small, black chandelier. There were multiple beds, but not all of them looked…well, comfy. But at least they were beds.

Misato nodded and pointed towards the beds. "You choose your bed. The other roommates'll come soon, don't worry. Just be aware of the spiders. 'Specially the tarantulas. They're pretty common 'round here. They bite. Bye!" Misato shut the door and Yami layed her bags on the ground, feeling despaired.

She was stuck in this mess, and there was no way to reverse it.
