22:Always love you

Javier lay on the bed helplessly. Drawing breath heavily. When a silhouette appeared in the room. Tiptoed to the bed and knelt beside the king.

He ran his hand through Javier's hair. At his touch, Javier subconsciously moved his head aligning it with the man. He then opened his eyes and slightly parted his lips.

"Sleep," the man whispered to him. The light from the window cast down on the man for a moment giving Javier a chance to glimpse at his face. He found Soren looking down at him. "You've cried a lot. Get some sleep," Soren went to get up.

Javier reached out his hand and clasped him by the nape of his neck. He ran his hand from Soren's nape to his hair while blinking away the sleep in his eyes.

"Where are you going?" he inquired of his dragonling. "Please let me feel you," he appealed to him.

"You need to re..."

"I don't want to be alone tonight. Will you hold me?" Javier grasped Soren's hair tightly, refusing to let him go. Afraid the man would leave and disappear. "Kiss me, make love to me, anything...just remind me that I am yours," he desperately requested Soren.

"Are you sure?" Soren swallowed greedily. He eyed Javier's lips with need. Aching to bridge the inch between their lips and seize the king into a hot passionate kiss.

Javier licked his lip seductively. "You must be tired from fighting with me," Javier stated. "Allow me to make it up to you," Javier pulled Soren in one swift move. Flipping his muscular frame and forcing Soren to land on top of him.

"Zarlos, it's yours as promised," Soren's breath became heavy and hot. The King let out a soft chuckle. He trailed a finger on Soren's lips trying hard to be focused on him.

"I never asked you for Zarlos. It's not what I want at all," Javier complained.

"I'm sorry for reacting the way I did. It wasn't fair on you for me to snap at you like that," Soren let out apologetically. He was sorry for leaving the king with harsh words that brought tears to his eyes. It had been too much to watch him stand with others amidst all that Soren was going through.

He didn't wish to give Javier excuses as to why he reacted the way he did. It was in the wrong. Javier deserved an apology and more.

"You served ties with me," Javier pouted.

Soren brought his right hand to his cheek. He released his sharp claws and pricked his skin. "Tch!" Javier screeched in pain.

"I didn't. I tampered with the link so you couldn't feel me or hear me," Soren admitted. "I can never bring myself to go away from you like that."

Javier smiled. Tears of relief flowed down his cheek.

"Only death will separate me from you," Soren disclosed.

'I've done terrible things today. I can't touch you with my dirty hands today,' he communicated.

Javier nodded. Feeling relieved to have Soren back. The rest could wait for another day. He scooted over, creating space on the bed for the dragonling to sleep.

"I am grateful you came back," Javier let out.

Soren lifted the blanket and laid down beside the king. He crosses his hands before his chest and glanced up at the chandelier.

The indistinct screams of the subjects of Zarlos were echoing in his ears. He could still hear them scream from when he turned most of them inside out. Splashing their insides all over the grounds of their kingdom.

The memories fed the monster inside him. His empty eyes stared aimlessly at the chandelier while his mind wondered about all the things he did to the people of Zarlos. The blood he shed in anger.

They didn't deserve half of the monstrous deeds he put them through before ending most of their lives. Soren was certain stories of that fateful day would be told for a thousand years to come. With him being the greatest evil the people of Zarlos had ever seen.

Soren let out a heavy sigh. Once again the darkness inside him proved more powerful than the light the king brought to his life. Thoughts of Javier stopped him before he could kill the king of Zarlos and cause more harm. However, it was the same thoughts that sent him over the edge by Mount Sisioli.

"No matter how far you go or how evil you become, I will always love you," Javier admitted. He was able to see through Soren's eyes the outlandish acts his dragonling did to the innocent people of Zarlos.

It was as though he was staring at a different person that the man he loved. The level of darkness and cruelty Soren showed to the men and women of Zarlos was without an end. There was no sympathy or mercy in his eyes. Only rage and evil intent.

Javier held himself back from shivering at the side. It was the first he had seen of Soren's ability to turn a person's body inside out. Thereby splashing their insides out into the air. Javier got a front-row seat in that image vividly. It terrified him.

"Are you scared of me?" Soren asked feeling the fear oozing out of the king. "I am a monster and it keeps getting stronger. Do I scare you?"

Javier shook his head. The monster in Soren scared him for those around him. Soren could never hurt him because he had a special place in the man's heart. However, only he had the such privilege, the rest of the world wasn't of concern to the male.

Any time, day, or hour Soren could do the same thing to his people. And there was no telling if one of those victims of the people Soren hurts won't come for vengeance. The male was immortal but everything had a means of an end. The weapon that kills Soren wasn't known yet but that didn't mean it didn't exist.

Javier was scared that one day someone will come and snatch his lover to avenge the fallen. With the weapon that can kill him.

"I'm worried you'll get hurt," he expressed.

"The heart I was looking for isn't mine," Soren confessed to Javier. The king's attention was drawn to the male. "It's the weapon designed to kill me," Soren added. Javier's jaw dropped. His heart skittered in fear.
