Adnan was breathless. His life nearly ended. He was scared and exhausted. The water of the river was enchanting from the sidelines but was deadly to touch.

Unlike the normal rivers he was used to. He had Archidius to thank for being alive. The deity saved his life.

Princess Ameera helped him to his feet. She picked him up and carried him in her arms without breaking a sweat. She hurried into the ice palace with him and headed directly to the king sized room assigned to Adnan.

On arrival, she laid Adnan down on the bed and got him a glass of water. "Drink some water and breath," she ushered.

Adnan followed the instructions and drank the water. The near death experience and Archidius harsh words awakened him. 'Was Javier worth dying for?' he wondered.

There was no way to know the answer to his question since they were far away from the king. Adnan wished there was a way for him to tell what value he held in Javier's eyes.
